Redemption: Believers’ Realities

December 28, 2008 By Chukie MORSI Leave a Comment

Deut. 6:23 ”And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to give unto our fathers”

Redemption is not just an idea or a subject to learn – it is something that happens to you; It is not just an experience you once had – it goes on throughout your life; It is  not just a feeling – it is a new direction and purpose in life; It is not just being good and sincere – it is becoming a new person; It is not ”religion”, or something that you do –  it is what God does; It is not a human invention – it is God’s business; It is no credit to us – it brings praise to God for eternity.

CHRISTMAS 2008 EDITION

This Christmas!

‘Celebrating Christ’s Birth – Commemorating God’s Love’

Matt 1:16-25 ‘’And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ . . . Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost . . . And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins . . . Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us . . . And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS’’

Romans 5:8 ‘‘But God commendeth his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us’’

Hallelujah! Praise God!! It’s Christmas again!!! I bring you kingdom greetings in the precious name of our saviour and Lord Jesus Christ in whom we live, we move and we have our being. Amen! It beholds God in His grace to call you His people in which am empowered in this commission of the Gospel to pray and trust that you will find the good will to celebrate Christ and commemorate the love that the season brings – This Christmas!

Christmas 2008 Edition

Thanks to God for Christmas, for the smiles it brings on peoples faces during this season. Looking through the happenings in the world today – a time of mans ‘great’ invention and discovery, economic empowering of man – has given us neither peace nor harmony but trauma in all human phases of existence. Today, killings and wars go on our streets, uncertainties in our nations, our world with political and economic instability, family breakdown, relational unfaithfulness, generational decadence, business and career setbacks etc. just to name a few. All this being is in pursuit of answers to human problems. Our world cries with great thirst and hunger, seeking for who will quench her yearnings, desires and aspirations. This is the reason that Christmas – a yearly celebrating of the birth of Christ – is vital to all mankind irrespective of religious beliefs, race or generation.

Christmas may be sectioned in this wise: ‘CHRIST’ – meaning the anointed One, the Messiah, the Saviour. MAS from ‘MASS’ – is the yearly Celebration of the birth of Christ with a grace or benediction of the triune God. 2Cor.13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen”

The Christ – Humanity

1 John 4:1-3 ‘’Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world’’

John 1:14 ‘’And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth’’

1 John 5:7-12 ‘’ For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life’’

1Timothy 3:16 ‘’And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory’’

As I skip through the various news channels on TV, radio stations, make and receive phone calls, go through the world wide web, drive though the streets in town – the jingling one hears is of the Christmas news and events. People of all nations are buying, selling, making or marking an event to make this Christmas worth celebrating.

However there are other opinions about Christmas, Some say that it’s a heathen day, a pagan holiday indicating that December 25th is not the day on which Christ was born but in October, however with no date to it. According to some it is for pagans and satan due to the glamorous events and activities that are now associated to this date. Just because the enemy perverts and distorts the meaning and essence of the celebrating of Christmas, does not mean that we should let go of that which we believe is of God.

For me and every supposed spirit born child of God, what is vital in the whole scenario of indifference is that Christ was born in the flesh – humanity. The scripture in 1 John 4:1 –3 and 1 John 5:7-12 says that any person or people who do not acclaim that Christ was born in the flesh are the antichrist. Christ means the Messiah, the Saviour, the anointed one while ‘anti’ means to be against. This indicates that such a person does not believe in Christ’s virgin and humanity birth and as such becomes an enemy of JEHOVAH God. It’s also proof that such a person or group of persons have undermined the record and prophesy spoken of God in time prior to Christ’s birth as in the holy write. Such an individual or group, the Holy Scripture calls a fool. (Psalms 14:1; Isaiah 53:1)

Celebrating – The Birth Of Christ

Isaiah 7:14 ‘’Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel‘’ (Matthew 1:23)

Micah 5:2 ‘’But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (Matt 2:6)

Gen. 49:10 ‘’The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be’’

To celebrate means to observe in a special way, to praise honour solemnise, worship and to make merriments of great joy.

Celebrating the birth of Christ is the most awesome event any creation of God should count a privilege to partake in – not only in this season of life but a daily experience. When you come to know the significance of His birth and what it has brought to you as an individual you will desire to have Him born in your heart and not just in the world. You will be compelled to seek after Him, to worship, honour and celebrate him like the three wise men from the east according to the scriptures – Matt 2:1–12; Luke 2:1-20.

Let us celebrate him for he is born indeed; He is indeed born in our hearts and in our being. His birth is the rebirth of:

  • Peace and goodwill toward men
  • Hope for men.
  • Beauty for ashes
  • Oil of joy for mourning
  • Garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness
  • A better covenant for men
  • God’s forgiveness and righteousness for all mankind
  • The true and genuine love
  • Faith for the spirit of fear
  • A new spirit and mindset of the kingdom of God and of the heaven
  • A new identity with our creator God
  • True knowledge, understanding and wisdom of our God
  • True service and worship of God
  • A majestic and awesome generation
  • . . . and many more

The Cause of Christ’s Birth

John 18:37 ‘’Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this CAUSE came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice’’

1John 3:8 ‘’He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil’’

John 3:16 ‘‘For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’’

In Christmas season, people make that special journey to see their loved ones – friends and family. Some change their residential environment, move or buy a property, change a wardrobe, furniture, house curtains, and electronics and with some theirs is to make some outstanding decorations and paintings. Some might have gone to buy their first car or change for another, while some move to new cities or towns; others are making the best of a special tantalising meal after a long time. Promises and relationships are established or re-established with special love tokens; some are entering for the first time or relocating back to the Church after some absence and many, many other doings.

Only the heavens can explain or quantify to what extent money has exchanged hands and travels to meet the human demands. The groceries store and manufacturers have to put extra effort to meet the targets of human needs and wants which invariably had taken roots of mans heart during this season. Unfortunately some may not have the economic power in terms of finance, yet they will do anything to see their wishes come to reality.

And as important as these cravings or uncontrollable desires are to meet some self set standards, they are incomparable with the true reason for the season – The CAUSE for which Christ came or was born into the world. Christ was born for these causes:

  • To save us from our sin (Matt. 1:21; Rom. 5:1-2; Acts 3:26; 4:12; 1 Tim. 1:15; 2:5; Isaiah 53:5-10)
  • To give us eternal life (John 17:3; John 3:16; 1 John 5:11-12)
  • To restore us to God’s kind of love (Rom. 5:8; John. 3:16-17; John 15:13)
  • To restore us to God’s kind of peace (Eph. 2:14, John 14:27; Phil. 4:7)
  • To destroy the works of satan against our life (Acts 10:38; 1John 3:8-9)
  • To restore us to an abundant (overflowing) life (John 10:10; Jere. 29:11)
  • To reconcile us back to God (2Cor. 5:17-21; Eph. 2:1-22)
  • To give us true freedom and deliverance (Like 1:68-71; 4:18-19; Heb. 2:14-15; Col. 1:13-14)
  • To redeem us from the curse and effect of the law and the fall of man (Gal.3:13-14; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; Rev. 5:9-10)
  • To restore us to a place of healing and health (Matt. 8:16-17; 3John 2; Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Pet. 2:24)
  • To give us a true spirit of knowledge and understanding to life (John 17:3; 1John 5:18-20)
  • To prosper us (3John 2; 2 Cor. 8:9; Matt. 6:33; John 10:10; Josh. 1:8)
  • . . . and many much more

Commemorating Love

Rom. 5:8 ‘’But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us’’

John 1:18 ‘’No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.’’

1 John 4:7-11 ‘’Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another’’

To commemorate is an act of honour and to keep alive the memory of the love of God towards us because of what Jesus has done. This Christmas – the annual or yearly celebration of the birth of Christ can only be relevant and with virtue if God’s kind of love becomes our centre pace of life. In other words our celebration should not centre only on the food, wine and merriment. The main core heart-of-God why we celebrate Christ is to commemorate God’s LOVE that He has abundantly showered to the world. It is for this Love drive that Christ came into the world.

If there be any meaningful reason to celebrate, we must take out time from our comfort zone to demonstrate this great love for which we’ve been received and accepted in the beloved of God. When we lift the banners of this love in a genuine heart, we will end the bitterness of life without struggle, it will stop wars and killings on our streets, it will comfort the bereaved and strengthen the Orphans; it will end many hunger and thirst in our neighbourhood and in the world today. It will give clothing and shelter to the less-have or helpless; it will save the lives of children betrayed by their parents; It will stop the marital and relationship breakdowns and decadence. It will silence the terrorist and expose their hidings, networks and evil in our societies. It will silence the enemy of our generation. Gossip, betrayal, kidnappings and others will die a natural death. Love is the only spiritual silence that can keep our enemy at bay while we advance the Gospel of the Lord in our various activities of life.

Jesus was born with love, for love and he died for love. God is love and all who indeed celebrate His son – Lord Jesus Christ – must celebrate Him with a large heart of a true and genuine Love as also in the following scriptures. 1 John 4:6-21 and 5:1-12.

Finally: The Mass – The Benediction

2 Corinth.13:14 ‘The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen’

However, as wonderful as Christmas celebration is, be it known today that Christ is enthroned. He is no longer the:

  • The babe in the manger
  • The servant to death
  • Neither the limited one nor the Christ on the Cross.

He is now the:

  • God on the throne (Seated at the right hand of the Father God)
  • Omnipotent (unlimited, all powerful),
  • Omnipresent (He is present everywhere at the same time) and
  • Omniscience (all knowing)

(Rev. 1:10-18; 19:16; Matt. 28:18; Phil 3:21).

Let us enthrone him in our heart, crown Him King of kings and Lord of lords and establish His presence in a daily commemoration and celebration and not just in another one year again.

I challenge and commend everyone who by virtue of grace have been ignited by the spirit of God’s love in Christ Jesus, to arise with faith and earnestly go and extend the good love of God in your hearts to others – that is the essence of a true living. You can begin from your home and the fire will spread to give hope to someone else near you.

I pray you have and enjoy a fabulous and great celebration of this Christmas and may God’s eternal love ever be your portion and prosper your goings during this season as you commemorate and celebrate His love. 2 Corinthians13:14 ‘The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen’

Dare to Celebrate Christ . . . Commemorate God’s Love

In His World For His Glory,

Kingdom Achievers’

December 12, 2008 By Chukie MORSI Leave a Comment

Achievers in the kingdom are not just men who are smart but men who are walking in divine plan. For God will only commend what He commands. It’s all about Him working in us, through us, with us and for us.

1Corinthian 15:10 ”But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace towards me was not in vain; but I labour more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”

Triumphing By The Rod, Celebrating Christ

-Achievers Weapon of Significance-

Exodus 4:1-17 ‘’. . . And the LORD said unto him (Moses), What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod . . . And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’.

2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘’Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place’’

December 2008

I earnestly welcome you in the name of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ with His grace, peace, love and mercy into this commemoration and celebration month of Triumphing by the rod – DECEMBER! The month for the commemoration & celebration of the birth of our TRIUMPH in Christ Jesus from the dominion and oppression of satan and his cohorts. It’s worth commemorating and celebrating; and please do enjoy it with all your being.

Our Place

Jeremiah 17:12‘’A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary’’

Acts 1:1-3‘’ The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God’’

The text of Jeremiah 17:12 reminds us of our first place in creation. A glorious and awesome high throne from the beginning was the place of our sanctuary. We lost that achievement in Eden until our Lord Jesus Christ came – as we celebrate and commemorate Him this month.

The text of Acts 1:1-3 clearly says that when Christ came, He began to DO – achieve, restore, redeem, refresh, re-awaken, – and TEACH (show the way), for us to achieve and live triumphantly again. Life is in the doing and it’s time for us to arise in faith in order to achieve our desired goals and be a plus and not a minus to our generation. A mere celebration and commemoration is not enough to live and achieve triumphantly except we understand the place of the rod in the celebration to effect a positive change to our generation.

“The relevance of history can only be determined by the instructions we draw out from it to inform the decisions of the present and to fashion out new paths for our tomorrow”. Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa (CGM – Nigeria)

“Yesterday was our teacher, today is our friend and tomorrow is our opportunity”. Dr Daisy Osborn (Osborn Foundation – USA)

Beloved Achiever, you are the reason the earth was created. You are the reason while the world is still preserved today. You are the reason the homeless and hopeless can find a home and hope, the failure can find success, the blind can still see, the lame can still walk, the deaf can still hear, the sinner can still find salvation, the un-churched and unloved can still find a church and love in the world today. You are the reason why mankind can still prosper wholly today. Your being born of God is to prove to satan and his cohorts that light is superior to darkness and that the government of this life is no longer in his hands according to the scriptures.

Psalm 24:1-2‘’A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods’’

Luke 10:17-20 ‘’And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven’’

Matthew 16:18-19’’And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’’

John 1:5 ‘’And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not’’

You are made for significance and wonders, that’s how you were and are born – fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139:14-18). You must take your stand and live life to its fullness.

The Rod – The Enemy (Pharaoh)

Exodus 4: 2, 17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

Psalm 23:4‘’ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’’

Exodus 15:9‘’The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them’’

I make bold to say that without the rod, an achiever is defenceless in any life endeavours. For the Rod is your weapon of instruction and defence in the face of pharaoh. And they are many pharaohs today than ever opposing us in achieving our God given goals and life pursuits – career, relationship, ministry, finances, marriage, entrepreneurship, etc.

The Rod is our God given weapon of stopping the pharaoh (satan and cohorts) activities in our way of progress and significant in life desired goals. The rod is our weapon of instruction in breaking the strongholds of the enemy, making rough places smooth, crooked road straight, exalting every valley and bringing every mountain and hill low to enact the purposes of God in our life, our generation and posterity. (Isaiah 40:3-5). The rod is our God given spiritual tool for our life goals warfare. (2Cor. 10:3-6 amplified)

In Exodus, Moses had a mandate to lead and set God’s people free out of Egypt by the privileges he has received of God, but there was an enemy – Pharaoh and his kingdom. And if Moses was to take them out of Egypt and into the promised blessings of God – a land that flowed with milk and honey, he needed help. Moses was a highly educated man in all the wisdom of doing life in Egypt – (Remember, civilisation they say began in Egypt) – that explains how highly skilled and enlightened Moses was.

Acts 7:22‘’And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds’’

In spite of all Moses’ expertise, intellectualism and exposure in Pharaohs house, he could not achieve his earnest dreams to set free his people from the hand of the enemy – Pharaoh. It must have been very worrying when all his education and the wisdom of Egypt could not deliver him nor his people.

In the same scenario we have seen today in our world our economy melt down in spite of all the 21st century high-tech and skilled economics, politicians, intellectuals, scientist, financiers, technocrats’ etc. The economy situation of the world has invariably affected families, career opportunities, business entrepreneurships, relationships, nations, dreams and aspirations and many others.

But in Exodus, God now asked Moses, what do you have in your hand, and he answered a rod. And God said to him, by THIS ROD you will DO (create, achieve, bring about) significance – hope, deliverance, healing, salvation, peace, comfort and your desire goals. Know full well that this rod has always been there, but never considered relevant because it’s not what is considered important in human endeavour, while in it was the answer for his questions and desired aspirations and dreams (1 Cor. 1:18-31).

People today are looking and waiting for signs and wonders to happen so that they can do what they need to do. That’s not how God works; instead God wants us not to wait for it but to use the rod to create, achieve and cause the significance and wonders we desire to come to be. You have to use the rod to stop the enemy and create the life and the world you need to enjoy.

The Rod – The Christ

Exodus 4:2, 17 “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs”

Isaiah 11:1-2 “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD”

Matthew 1:1, 6, 16‘’ The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham . . . And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah . . . And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ’’

Psalm 110:1-3 “A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth”

When God spoke to Moses in Exodus 4:2, 14 about the rod, it was literally a rod in human perspective. But in God’s own perspective, it was a shadow (concealed) for the reality and revelation that was to come. The scripture indicates in Isaiah 11:1-2, that the rod was Jesus who came out of the stem of Jesse through the lineage of David as assuredly recorded in the genealogy scripture of Matthew chapter one verses one to seventeen.

The scripture also makes bold to say in Psalm 110 that the rod is the strength of Zion (The Redeemed Church – Hebrews 12:22-24) and by the rod, the enemy powers are overturned, they are subdued and kept at bay so that we can go living triumphantly, victoriously and achieving our desired goals. Our Lord Christ, been the revealed rod in Moses hand, He can take you to a place of significance and awesome wonders: from poverty to prosperity, from obscurity to popularity, from who are you to how are you. This is the reason for the season celebration. No more room for poverty-luyah, afraid-luyah, fear-luyah etc., but HOSSANA HALLELUYAH in all life circumstances.

The Rod – The Christ – The Word

Exodus 4:2, 17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

John 1:1-5, 14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

1 John 5:6-7 “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”

From the context of the above scriptures you can clearly see that the rod though a concealed shadow in the hands of Moses for the Church in the wilderness became a revealed rod – Christ – for the redeemed Church. The concealed Rod became the revealed Christ which became -The Word. And this Word bears witness in the heavens for the saints with the Tri-une God. What a mystery, that a mere rod in one person’s hand is a living personality living in another person’s heart – You. What was ordinary became extraordinary in human nature to be born in the flesh.

And this season all over the world He is been celebrated and his birth is commemorated by all in different styles. Jesus Christ – in His humanity is the Word of God that is, has been and will ever be. Thanks to God that we have the Rod in our hands and hearts today –The Christ, The Word of God, The Bible – ‘’Blessed Information Bringing Life Eternal’’.

By The Rod – Doing The Significant

Exodus 4:17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

2 Cor. 2:14 ‘‘’Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place’’

For Moses to accomplish and achieve his dreams and aspirations to get Israel from the bondage of Egypt he needed to put the rod to use in order to silence Pharaoh and his cohorts (Exodus 14:5-22). In same like scenario, if we must be triumphant daily and in every place, we must not only know or have the rod but must put it in use. The rod is not for decoration, but to empower us to do significant achievements and goals in life that will enhance our present and give hope and aspirations to posterity. If all you can achieve is what is only common to all men for today, you will soon be out of date and irrelevant to the present and next generation. It’s all about DOING signs (being significant) with the rod.

Jesus Did

Acts 1:1 “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach’’

Acts 2:22 “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know’’

Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, though he was God’s son, but as a man, he demonstrated being significant to make a difference in his days in the flesh. By him hope, faith, good will, peace and love find their place in human hearts today. No wonder He is been celebrated in the world this season in all human endeavours.

Apostles Did

Acts 5:12-15 “And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them”

The Apostles in the Bible days did significant things in their dispensation that marvelled their generation and posterity. They changed the course of life, giving substance to their world (Mark 16:16-20).

The Church –The believer (you) –Will & Can DO!

Mark 16:17-20 ‘’He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen’’

James 1:22-25‘’ But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed’’

Philippians 4:13‘’I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me’’

If there is any time the world need significant intervention of God, it’s today and in this generation. The believer in Christ, that includes you, is equally mandated to do signs – significant achievements by the rod. The day and time has come and now is, when you have to arise, take the rod – God’s word – by faith and put an end to all manifestation of shame, embarrassment, reproach, failure, fear, setbacks, etc.; and work yourselves into a life of significance.

Every believer is in a platform of champions, winners, overcomers, more than conquerors, victors etc., no matter what state or season of life you are now. The Rod – the word of God – is the answer to end that opposition, bondage, harassment and setback placed by pharaoh and his cohorts in your life, which tends to cripple your aspirations and desired goals in life. God’s word is the talisman, the medicine to your mountains and valleys and circumstances affecting you at the moment. Obedience to the use of the Rod as Moses did will end the stand still and same circle pains; will turn your shame to fame, your disappointment to appointment, failure to success, hopelessness to hope, fear to faith and test and trials to testimony. You can be significant

Finally

Isaiah 8:18‘’Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion’’

Romans 8:19‘’For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God’’

The scriptures above are great prophesies which sum it up that all in Zion will together with the Lord live a triumphant life of significance in all areas of life – spiritually, mentally, socially, physically, financially etc. (Luke 2:52). Also that creation awaits all God’s children to demonstrate and manifest who they really are. Hence as you celebrate, commemorate the Lord Christ of Christmas, the reason for the season; it will be greatly significant if you go the extra more mile to make a difference from the usual routine. Its time to tap in and draw the triumph from Christ’s birth, get hooked on the rod to make and live an amazing, glorious, awesome and a significant life that no one has and will ever live because you are UNIQUE!

Soaring as an EAGLE

–The Springboard to Achieve set Goals-

Proverbs 30:18-19 ‘’There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid’’.

A soaring eagle

I sincerely welcome you in Jesus Name into another exciting and soaring God made month for your rejoicing – NOVEMBER! It’s my prayer and earnest desire that you will be excited to soar as an eagle over all things that have limited you; also, that you will eventually locate yourself in God’s plans to achieve your desired set goals – Amen! (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP)

We live in such a time in which we need to register our faith solely on Him that has made us and by him we have the breath of life – The Holy Spirit. Only by the Holy Spirit can we deal with the affairs of life in achieving our desired goals.

Job 33:4 ‘’The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life’’.

Job 32:8 ‘’But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding’’.

The text of Proverbs 30:18-19 above speaks of three wonderful things, which the wise King Solomon earnestly declares one of them as – ‘The Way of an Eagle in the Air’. And if you can understand the ways of an eagle in the air in achieving your life goals and desires, then – Favour – will become your new name. May it be so right away in Jesus name, Amen.

Proverbs 13:15 ‘’Good understanding gives favour: but the way of transgressors is hard’’.

Soar or Soaring

Our God intend all His children with an achievers mandate to soar if they must BECOME what they are born or made to be in Christ Jesus.

To soar or soaring is an act:

  • To rise or fly upwards into the air
  • To glide while maintaining altitude/height in the air
  • To rise or increase suddenly above the usual level

Our God does not want you to just live or rise in life, He wants you to triumphantly maintain that altitude or height of grace as it affects every single area of your wellbeing and faith in Him (1 Thessalonians 5:23). You are redeemed to be a SOARER in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Eagle and Eaglet

‘’Eagles are made, while eaglet are born’’. This is a wise and true faithful saying in life. The Eagle is a large keen-sighted bird of prey with a massive hooked bill and long, large broad wings and a strong soaring flight. The eaglet, otherwise, is the young eagle.

The difference between the eagle and eaglet.

When you understand the biblical concept of becoming an eagle rather than an eaglet as I will layout in this edition, you will soar and by it end all those anxieties and worries that makes you think there is no tomorrow. Except you decide to still remain an eaglet who wants to enjoy the eagle lifestyle and don’t want to undergo God’s make-over that transform an eaglet to an eagle.

  • Jesus Christ our Example:

Isaiah 9:6 ‘’For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given . . .’’

John 3:16 ’’For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’’

The above prophetic scripture about our Lord Jesus Christ indicates the transformation and positioning of an eaglet to an eagle. As a child Jesus was born, but as a Son was given (made). When made, one is empowered to achieve, rule and reign in life. God could only give Jesus to save the world as a Son, not as a child. It took thirty years for Jesus to undergo an eaglet life make-over and translation for a three and half year eagle mandate. Hence He succeeded. And the scripture (Joshua 1:8) enjoins us to learn of Him if we must have good success and prosper as our Lord promises us and did – The eagle way!

  • The Redeemed in Christ

Galatians 4:1-7 ‘’Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differed nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ’’.

Man and child

From the epistle of Galatians above, it comes so glaring how God wants His children as Abraham seed and achievers to possess an eagle mandate than that of an eaglet. As a child (eaglet) – one is under tutorship or training, while as a Son (eagle) – one is made to bear rule, reign and take charge and control. (1 Pet. 2:2; Isaiah 28;9-12; Heb. 5:11-14). The danger of many Christian families, marriages, relationships, business, careers and Ministries is that lots of people want to enjoy the eagle lifestyle with eaglet mentality and behaviour to life issues. This has hindered the true joy reality of their Christian Faith. The world and creation awaits the manifestation and revealing of God’s sons and not mere children, by taking their place for the beauty of mankind. Will you arise and take your place as a son!

Romans 8:19 ’’For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation (revealing) of the sons of God’’.

1 Corinthians 13:11 ‘’When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man (son), I put away childish things’’

The Eagle Way

The eagle way is the believer’s path way to achieving their God given life goals. And when you do understand the know-how of mounting up with wings as the eagle, you can keep yourself afloat over all mountains and valleys of life. The reasons behind all this is because human ideals and philosophy will fail us as we’ve seen over the years and more recently in our world economic breakdown in spite of all our gigantic empire of great intellectuals, economics, scientist and technologists, politicians and financiers and many, many more. Let’s ponder and consider the scriptures below, in the light of the eagle way:

Deuteronomy 32:7-14 ‘’Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee . . . As an eagle stirred up her nest, fluttered over her young, speeded abroad her wings, takes them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape‘’.

The scripture above compasses the very intent of God for His people. From nothing to splendid, that’s the way the first church in the wilderness was raised – to soar as an eagle – and to raise the eaglet to become an eagle. For as eagles they prospered, achieved their desired goals and God was in their midst.

They that wait upon the Lord, will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31 ‘’But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint’’

The above book of Isaiah enjoins us to the eagle ways in these dimensions

  • The Eagle waits upon the wind – Holy Spirit – before it makes any move, hence it renews – does not waste/burn out – strength (Psalm 103:5)
  • The Eagle does not flap wings – like other birds – but mounts up with wings and glide (Job 39:27) hence: It does not go weary and does not go fainting (give up or loose heart)

An achiever can’t act as a turkey or other birds that flap wings and want to enjoy the height of an eagle that mounts up with wings.

Job 9:25-26 ‘‘Now my days are swifter than a post . . . They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey’’.

The above scripture also indicates that eagles are not sluggish in life affairs. They are smart, quick, prompt, fast and maximize opportunity. They don’t take their time or timing to soar for granted. They act promptly at the move or movement of the wind.

Soaring as an Eagle: The Wind – The Spirit

Soaring as an eagle is only possible if you can recognise the movement of the wind – The Holy Spirit. This will emancipate and deliver one from all yokes and burdens affecting our drive to actualise our life desired goals.

John 3:8 ’’The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit’’

Unlike most birds, the eagle does not flap its wings but mount them up for flight in relation to the movement of the wind. It’s by this swift or prompt agility to get on the wind that takes the eagle to heights and places of life without exhaustion unlike most birds.

The scripture likens the wind to the Holy Spirit as a metaphor shown in John 3:8. And our ability to know and understand the move of the Holy Spirit in relation to our life goals makes all the difference in the kingdom.

Genesis 1:1-4 ‘’In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness’’.

When the Holy Spirit moves and hovers over the face of the waters on earth, God knowing the indication of that movement, began to speak forth, makes prophetic creative declarations. And that’s how creation was made upon the earth. In the same like manner, when an achiever comes to know and understand the move of the Holy Spirit, creativity and the pursuit to achieve life goals will begin to takes it direction. How I do pray that this inspiration and revelation and empowerment will find its place in your spirit today, in Jesus precious name, amen!

FINALLY!

There is more in store for you, same for every child of God than can be imagined and this is made possible by the Holy Spirit. When we mount up our spiritual wings for flight as the eagles on the move of the wind – Holy Spirit, we can soar as the eagle to height of greatness and the stars they say, will not just be our limit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 ‘’But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God’’.

I therefore challenge you today to make a new relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit that you might soar (glide) in life. You can then chart your life of creativity for the world you long and want to have and enjoy. I pray that you will give thoughtful consideration of your life to the Holy Spirit in order to end the struggles, exhaustion, weariness, anxieties and tiredness you’ve endured all these years. Be blessed and welcome to this exciting and soaring month of greatness – NOVEMBER!

Beginning with God – Kingdom Business

October 9, 2008 By Chukie MORSI Leave a Comment

The Garden of Eden

Genesis 1:1 – 3 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light”.

Luke 2: 49 “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”

Acts 6:1 – 4 “And in those days, when the number of the disciples were multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word”.

The kingdom business as called by our Lord Jesus should be kingdom business – not man made business – (Matthew 6:36, Luke 2:49) – and should be approached with a kingdom mindset. The Bible text indicates a kingdom blueprint for success in the management of a faithful and productive life in kingdom business – whether in ministry or church Leadership – A life of dominion and triumph for leaders and members alike is the earnest reason Christ came, died and rose again.

The Word of God makes a man deal wisely in the affairs of life. This is the principle that God gave Joshua – Joshua 1:8. If you apply the Word of God to your vision and stay focused on the Word, you will deal wisely in life and even with your teachers (mentors) or instructors – (Psalm 119: 99-100, Proverbs 22:29, Ezra 7:10, Matthew 13:52)

Principle for Kingdom Business

A. Make up your mind

You need to make up your mind to begin with God as God begun. Begin anyhow but with God – Genesis 1:1, Acts 17:28. From Genesis 1:1 you can deduce these three points:

o If you must start well and end well in any endeavour in life, you must begin with God.

o If you are going to continue to be productive and victorious in life, you must begin with God.

o If you are going to get results that are beyond your natural capabilities, you must begin with God.

The reason is that the kingdom business is not ours, but God’s – 1 Corinthians 3:5-19 hence, there must be a deliberate attempt to begin with God, to make him the alpha (the beginning) and omega (the end). Not hypocritically, but intentionally and sincerely.

We must not only begin with God but must continue to work in partnership with Him, trusting him every step of the way. Genesis 1:31a, 1Corinthian 3:5-14 and Mark 16:15-20.

B. Our God is Organised

Our God is very organised, and consistent – Mark 7:37a, 1 Corinthians 14:40 from Genesis 1:1 you can deduce also three points:

  • God plans each day’s work – Proverbs 16:1-3, 9, and 25
  • He does not carry one day’s work over into another.
  • After finishing each day’s work, he reviews each day’s work to see that it conforms to the pattern and purpose He had in mind.

This is how to fill our lives and ministry with achievements, don’t push you work through until you are through. Don’t work by time, but work by achievement and that will keep you on God’s side, even on top.

C. God & Productivity

Like God, we don’t need to quit until each day’s work is done. God allocates each day work and gets it done. This is how to rise and stay on top always, Psalm 1:1-3,

  • Don’t just be efficient, be effective – Produce effect.
  • To be efficient is it do things well, but to be effective is to do the right things well and produce results – bringing forth your fruit in due season, according to the work of God.
  • For each day, God achieved goals and each cycle of life produced effect. Psalm 1:1-3

Two Important Keys:

In life, when you are done, you will be remembered for two things – You will be remembered for either the good things/lives you change or for the life/things you did nothing about – Think! To achieve your Kingdom vision mandate two important keys are vital and fundamental.

These are:

  • Set-out Goals (weekly and monthly): you need to set out goals weekly and also monthly, you then review that it has been done to achieve the desired goals. (Rev 22:1-7, Ezekiel 47:12)

  • Create your desired goals by your word – God always spoke what He wanted and He always saw it happen. You need to create the world you want to live in by the word of your mouth (Romans 10:8-10). Be mindful of what you say (Hebrew 10:23). Say what you want about your today, tomorrow and enter your greater tomorrow with God, with the words of your mouth.

“. . . and God said …. and God saw”

Finally, live productively, talk creatively, observe the cycles of this life with God as the centre of your desire, your goals will be achieved.

Dare to be efficient . . . Dare to be effective . . . productivity will be your rereward

Overcoming In Life By The GOSPEL

 – The Enabling Power to Achieve Life Goals –

Romans 1:16 ‘’For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the Power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

Deut 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day”.

In Jesus’ name I welcome you to this graceful month of October. I trust God that you will never have a cause to regret this month, because you will do the word of God. The desire to achieve purposeful goals lives in the heart of any diligent achiever (Prov 4:23, Prov 22:29, Hebrews 11:6). The present global economic crisis affects every intention of all today including God’s people. In human perspective, you will wonder if there is hope more so of pursuing visions & desired goals. Though many may want to give up or are already giving up, you don’t have to, because you are an achiever. Achievers are winners, and winners don’t give in or give up. They work through crisis, turn it into a crown, to make and established their covenant. For success to an achiever, is failure turn inside out.

The Lord has sent me through this month’s edition to announce that you can overcome. You are already by reasons of your redemption in Christ Jesus, triumphant, victorious and more than a conqueror in the plans & purposes of God. All God expects of you is to live daily celebrating His goodness in the midst of– not for – the present challenges in times like this.

2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place”.

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:35–39 “. . . Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us . . .”

The Gospel

Romans 1:16 indicates that the enabling power to achieve salvation comes from the gospel. Salvation is the embodiment of redemption – the saving of the soul, wholeness, deliverance, success, prosperity, healing, soundness, security & preservation.

When the achievers’ desired goals are to enhance or propagate the gospel, God will empower such desires irrespective of any economic, spiritual, demonic and physical opposition.

In Deut 8:18, we are admonished to know that we are covenant children & the intention of God is to establish His Word on, with and for His people. He does this by empowering them to get wealth. The word GET means to create or achieve wealth. Why wealth instead of ‘just enough’ till we get to heaven – but to authenticate God’s covenant and for what He is and for what Christ is done. A Lion does not give birth to an ant. God beget god (Gen. 3:6; Psalm 82:6, John 10:34-35). Setbacks & poverty should not rob us of who we are in Christ. If God intends for his people to achieve/create wealth it is because He has an intention – the gospel – that the salvation of mankind might be accomplished.

Isaac Famine Crunch

God never allowed economic crunch or famine to hinder Isaac’s desire plans in the Bible days to take His people further towards the promised land. Instead Isaac overcame in all his troubles and challenges as a carrier of the covenant as long as his focus was on God’s mandate – the Gospel.

Genesis 26:1-22 “And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham . . . Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. . .”

The reason behind Isaac achieving goals like others in the scripture is because they respected the foundation and memorial of God’s plan and purposes in their time. They adhered tenaciously to what God considered to be their landmark or foundation if they must prosper and enjoy His covenant

Prov 22:28 “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set”.

Psalms 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Jeremiah 6:16a “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. . . ”

Achieving goals is a struggle for many believers. It’s even worst especially among the so called gospel ministers, because we are ministering without the gospel. A lot of man-made ideology is taking its root that some find it difficult in public to let known who they are. Instead of standing in the office of their calling, it appears they want to confine their life like the speakers of the world popularly called motivational speakers or good communicator’s probably to win the flavour of the day. Hence the Gospel calling of God as a Pastor for some like other ministerial offices is no longer acceptable, popular or a pride to acclaim to. But what are you called to DO or desire to ACHIEVE in life is the question now. What has come to take the place of the gospel wherein is the power that saves us. A lot of people in that they can’t or are struggling to achieve their goals have in essence gone compromising their faith. Where lays then the POWER OF THE GOSPEL that brings SALVATION – favour, peace, joy, mercies, forgiveness etc, in the Holy Spirit. Let us restore the gospel to its place as the foundation & God’s only memorial given to us in Christ to propel, prosper and appropriate the fullness of our salvation that we might find rest to our soul. The gospel gives – hope, faith, strength, love, life, deliverance, prosperity – to our desire goals either in business, career, marriage, ministry etc, name it.

Living for A Cause

1.Jesus – Our Example & Pattern

John 18:37 ‘’Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice’’

1 John 3:8 ‘’He that committeth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil‘’

Acts 2:22 ‘’Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know’’

From the above scriptures we see how our Lord Jesus could get all the heavens available to Him to deal with the affairs of life. Not necessarily as God but as a man because the Gospel – salvation of mankind – the wellbeing of people was His passion hence He overcame triumphantly. He had the heavenly with him as a man simply because:

  • He lived for a cause – not any kind of life
  • He lived for a purpose – focus, vision, driven.
  • He had the Gospel (God’s passion) in Him – people oriented,
  • He had heavens approval with diverse miracles and wonders – supernatural provisions.
  • Heaven provided human help to assist Him in achieving His goals (Luke 18:1-3) in spite of having an accountant who turned out to be a thief and a betrayer.

2. Apostle Paul – Another Example

  • As a teacher: Acts 20:20-21, “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ”.
  • As a Pastor: 1 Thess 2:2-8 “But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention. For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us”
  • As an evangelist: Romans 9:1-3 “I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh’’10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved”
  • As an Apostle: 2 Corinthians 11:28 “Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.”

Apostle Paul in spite of all oppositions & economic challenges as recorded in the scriptures, he achieved the cause and purposes for which he was born – the GOSPEL (Galatians 1:6-11). Hence he could make the bold statement of achieving his goal as in this scripture below.

2 Tim 4:6-8: ”For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”

Your Empowerment

Beloved, the scriptures in Romans 1:16 and Deut 8:18 indicate the means by which we can overcome and be empowered. Our God is not allowing economic crisis to punish the world but to wake the saints up for such a time as this. He wants to pour out His knowledge and wisdom on the church so that when the world is limited economically and otherwise, they will look to the church for hope and freedom. If the church is beggarly, struggling and compromising the truth of the gospel, we will only become like the world, suffer, complain and murmur like they do.

Therefore Arise! For it is written in 1John 1:12 ‘’ But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name’’ if you can receive the right course of the gospel – salvation of mankind – God will empower you to create & achieve goals that will enhance your life and the destiny of others. When an individual, family or a nation devote their life to the cause of God’s will – the Gospel – empowerment (wisdom & knowledge) will come into reality. God will only commend what He commands – THE GOSPEL.

Finally

I pray this month of October you will daily experience the life of an over comer and God will cause you to achieve His purpose in your life. I do ask that our God will empower you as an individual, family or a Church and that you will not lose your focus in the Gospel. Its time to achieve goals by identifying what God has called you to be in the kingdom. You are made for success, don’t live small.

Only the Gospel has power to bring forth your salvation – desired goals – wholeness, wellness, health, healing, saving of the soul, sound mind etc.

Dare to overcome . . . the enabling power – THE GOSPEL.

Achieving Life Goals through ‘’God’s Righteousness’’

Romans 1:16-17 “”

Philippians 3:9

Praise God! That the set month – September – is here, a month the Lord has instructed me to remind His people to live a lifestyle of righteousness. A life set apart for God, is a life of righteousness. We live in the days that issues of right living are becoming absent in most of our pulpits in the name of political correctness, avoiding offence and not hurting people. In all this, most Christians are struggling to discern why some promises of God are not being fully actualised in their lives as in the scriptures while others enjoy the abiding and awesome presence of God in their lives in spite of the same battles that each goes through.

What determines ones achieving their life goals is in whether they are living under a dogmatic and man-made creed of righteousness or living on God’s kind of righteousness.

RIGHTEOUSNESS – Its Work and Effect:

In scriptural context, it means having a right standing in and with God. It means the right to live and stand in God’s presence without guilt or fear. It also means the right and boldness to appear before God’s presence to obtain help and mercy in times of need without wrath and a doubting heart.

1 Timothy 2:8

Hebrews 4:14-16

The work and effect of righteousness is peace, quietness and assurance. Righteousness produces good work but mere good works or charity on its own is not righteousness. For no man is justified by mere good work as in the law.

Isaiah 32:17

Galatians 2:16

REIGNING (Achieving) in Life:

By the act of our Redemption, we’ve been called into the Kingdom of our God. Hence Christ enjoined us to seek the life style of the kingdom as we seek God’s kingdom. Seeking the life style of the kingdom is seeking God’s way of doing and achieving things. The simple reason is because God’s kingdom life style is about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And if we are to reign (achieve) in life as expected in the kingdom, and do business in the kingdom with God, we must of necessity live a life style of righteousness in the Holy Ghost. This is the only way we can partner with God for Him to commend our life pursuits. Hence the great need for every intending achiever to earnestly thirst and hunger for a righteous life style which Christ promises to satisfy.

Matthew 5: 6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”

Matt. 6:33 ‘’ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you‘’

Romans 14:17

Romans 5:17

Revelation 5:9-10

God’s Kind of RIGHTEOUSNESS:

In the main headed scriptural text of Romans 1:16-17 and Philippians 3:9, God’s kind of righteousness can be deduced in these formats:

  • It’s born of the revelation in the gospel of Christ at time of our Salvation in our hearts (spirit)
  • It’s powerful to make one live a triumphant and victorious life
  • It’s an act of faith
  • It cuts across creed, denomination and race. Meaning it’s not dogmatic, not peculiar or particular to some group of people but available to all mankind to live and enjoy God.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, the scripture enjoined us to understand our place in Christ Jesus. That by the virtue of our redemption in the gospel revealed in and to us, we are made: New creation, Ambassador, Reconcilers and God’s righteousness.

Vs 21: ‘’For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him‘’

For Jesus became SIN (not sins) for us, that we might be made God’s righteousness in Him. Also, in 1 Corinthian 1:30 ‘’But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption‘’ and Romans 10:4 ‘’For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth‘’ we can see another cardinal plan in our Redemption that Christ Jesus is made unto us righteousness. Now as God’s people who have been ‘made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ and ‘Christ Jesus made unto us Righteousness’, it means that living a righteous life, is living in the consciousness and abiding presence of Christ in God. For Christ in us, the hope of glory, the hope to achieve goals, the hope to triumph, the hope to be – a winner, victor and more than a conqueror any day, anytime and anywhere.

Righteousness in Demonstration

God’s kind of righteousness is expressed by the empowering of the indwelling Holy Spirit in us as found in 1Corinthial 3:16-17 ‘’ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are‘’ This scripture indicates that by this indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, God’s love and righteousness is shed (spread) abroad in our hearts. In other words, we can live a meaningful life full of love and righteousness towards God and mankind. (Romans 5:5). By the indwelling Holy Spirit we can live above condemnation, dogmas and creed that lead to various kinds of bondages and self harm. Demonstrating in the Holy Spirit God’s kind of righteousness, we are empowered to return to God, be reconciled and restored when we sin. This is also true for now, for anyone struggling with sin to return to God, be reconciled and restored back to God.

1John 1:5-10

God’s kind of righteousness is a gift of God and it delivers one from sin and its consciousness and effect.

Proverbs 14:34 ’’Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people’’

Romans 6:23 ‘’For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord’’

Some Likely Benefits of a Righteous Lifestyle

They are lots of benefits in living God’s kind of righteousness. Here are just few of them;

  • Dominion over sin (Romans 6:14)
  • Makes and enhances friendship with God (James 2:23)
  • Makes one live a transformed life (Romans 12:1-2)
  • Enables one to live above condemnation (Romans 8:1-2)
  • Takes one from strength to strength as in faith to faith (Job 17:9, Romans 1:17)
  • Delivers one from the God’s anger and wrath (Psalm 7:11; Romans 1:16-18)
  • It ensures peace, quietness and assurance forever (Isaiah 32:15-17)
  • . . . and many more

Finally beloved, the call to be set apart this month as a way of awakening us to the consciousness of God’s righteousness is to enhance us in achieving life goals, God’s way. If we must partner with God, this kingdom prerequisite is a must, for it attracts God backings and commendation. For sin consciousness is devilish, man-made and dogmatic and Satan’s set up to have us in guilt and bondages as he is the accuser of the brethren the scriptures say. Living in righteousness will keep us afloat and unspotted in this life as we deal with mistakes, challenges, disappointments and problems of life.

I welcome you into this set month as I do earnestly pray that your relationship and communion with God will increase more and more and you daily triumph, achieving your intended goals. May God set you on high as you set your life apart in His righteousness.
