GREED AND COVETOUSNESS – “THE LOVE OF MONEY”: THE THREE MAJOR CAUSES AND THEIR SIDE EFFECTS!

“For THE LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” 1 Timothy 6:10/Emphasis Mine.

Money (Finance) is a de facto medium of exchange. On its own, it’s not EVIL or an EVIL or the ROOT of EVIL or ROOT of all EVIL as some acclaimed; but it is ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’ and to simply say – “THE LOVE OF THE MONEY” on itself, is the ROOT of ALL EVIL.

Money is GOOD. It’s a great means of defence that answers and it’s answering man’s QUEST in doing life, especially when diligently, wisely and prudently obtained and expended without prejudice, sentiments and dissimulation.

However, ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’ has some CAUSES and side EFFECTS especially when obtained by GREED and COVETEOUSNESS.

Herein are THREE WARNING SIGNS in order not to be in a position of being captivated and enslaved by – THE LOVE OF MONEY – that’s obtained by GREED and COVETOUSNESS and such like:

  1. It causes WORRY: Lack of Sleep – sleepless moments when the balance sheet is not meeting expectations or overwhelmingly breaking your set point.

“The SLEEP of a LABOURING man is SWEET, whether he eat little or much: BUT THE ABUNDANCE OF THE RICH WILL NOT SUFFER HIM TO SLEEP” Ecclesiastes 5:12.

“The SLEEP of a WORKING man is SWEET, whether he eats little or much; BUT THE FULL STOMACH (GREED) OF THE RICH [WHO HUNGERS FOR EVEN MORE] WILL NOT LET HIM SLEEP” Ecclesiastes 5:12/Amplified.

  1. It causes DISSATISFACTIONS: It allows greediness and covetousness to breed in all forms, thereby create discomfort and unhealthy sphere.

“He that LOVETH SILVER shall not be SATISFIED with SILVER; nor he that LOVETH ABUNDANCE with INCREASE: this is also vanity” Ecclesiastes 5:10.

“He who LOVES MONEY will not be SATISFIED with MONEY, nor he who LOVES ABUNDANCE with its GAIN. This too is VANITY (EMPTINESS)” Ecclesiastes 5:10/Amplified

  1. It causes TEMPTATION: It allows and leads to the breaking of SET RULES and REGULATIONS, even the STATUTORY law, in order to get and acquire more at any cost – which many have become accustomed.

“A FAITHFUL man shall ABOUND with blessings: BUT HE THAT MAKETH HASTE TO BE RICH SHALL NOT BE INNOCENT.  21 To have respect of persons is not good: FOR  A PIECE OF BREAD THAT MAN WILL TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH hath AN EVIL EYE, and considereth not that POVERTY shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:20-22.

“The TRUSTWORTHY person will get a RICH reward, but A PERSON WHO WANTS QUICK RICHES WILL GET INTO TROUBLE. 21 Showing partiality is never good, YET SOME WILL DO WRONG FOR A MERE PIECE OF BREAD. 22 GREEDY PEOPLE TRY TO GET RICH QUICK but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty” Proverbs 28:20 NLT.

Money is good in itself when it’s made to serve or be a servant and not as lord to any and every vital and legal means of living and doing life. Make it your servant or errand tool only and not your life controller, then you will experience the PEACE of mind indescribable. With peace of mind one is able to be CONTENTED, live GODLY, and to keep temptation, worry – anxiety and dissatisfaction at bay.

I pray you will not be entangled in bondage as a money lover for a mere self and selfish gratifications at the expense of others, the rule of law, and the decency and order in and for the community.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: STAY AWAY FROM ALL BELIEVERS WHO LIVE IDLE LIVES AND DON’T FOLLOW THE TRADITION THEY RECEIVED FROM US. 7 For you know that you ought to IMITATE us. We were NOT IDLE when we were with you. 8 WE NEVER ACCEPTED FOOD FROM ANYONE WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT. We WORKED hard day and night so we would NOT BE A BURDEN to any of you. 9 We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an EXAMPLE to follow. 10 Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “THOSE UNWILLING TO WORK WILL NOT GET TO EAT.” 11 Yet we hear that some of you are LIVING IDLE LIVES, REFUSING TO WORK AND MEDDLING IN OTHER PEOPLE’S BUSINESS. 12 We COMMAND such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to SETTLE DOWN AND WORK TO EARN THEIR OWN LIVING” 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12/NLT.

THE “LOVE” OF MONEY

THE “LOVE” OF MONEY: THREE MAJOR CAUSES AND THEIR SIDES EFFECT’S!

“For THE LOVE OF MONEY is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” 1 Timothy 6:10/Emphasis Mine.

MONEY (Finance) is a DE FACTO medium of exchange. And “MONEY” on its merit, is not EVIL or an EVIL or the ROOT of EVIL or ROOT of all EVIL as some acclaim; but it is THE “LOVE OF MONEY”, that is what the ROOT of ALL EVIL thus indicate. Money is GOOD. It’s a great means of defence in life, when wisely and prudently expended.

“WISDOM along with an INHERITANCE is good. And an [excellent] advantage for those who see the sun. 12 For WISDOM is a protection even as MONEY is a protection, But the [excellent] advantage of KNOWLEDGE is that WISDOM shields and preserves the lives of its possessors” Ecclesiastes 7:11-12/Amplified.

Money is good when it’s made to serve or be a servant and not made to be as lord to every vital and legal means of living and doing life. You have to make money a servant or an errand tool only, and not your life controller, for only then will you experience the PEACE of mind that’s indescribable and incomprehensible. With peace of mind, one is able to be CONTENT and LIVE GODLY, and to keep THE “LOVE OF MONEY” temptation at bay.

You must know and understand as God’s own that GAIN is not GODLINESS or equal to GODLINESS, but rather, that GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT, is a great GAIN as the Scripture enjoined.

“. . . 6 But GODLINESS actually is a SOURCE of GREAT GAIN when accompanied by CONTENTMENT [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the SUFFICIENCY of God]” 1 Timothy 6:3-6/Amplified.

And in as much as Money is good for the causes already explained, there’s a problem when one falls into the phase and sphere of – “THE LOVE OF MONEY”. For “THE LOVE OF MONEY” has some CAUSES and SIDES EFFECTS. And herein are THREE WARNING SIGNS to observe, in order not to be in a position of being captivated and enslaved by – “THE LOVE OF MONEY” syndromes:

  1. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSES WORRY: A lack of Sleep – sleeplessness moments, if and when the balance sheet is not meeting expectations or overwhelmingly breaking your set point.

“The sleep of a working man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the full stomach (greed) of the rich [who hungers for even more] WILL NOT LET HIM SLEEP” Ecclesiastes 5:12/Amplified.

  1. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSES DISSATISFACTIONS: It allows and breeds greediness and covetousness.

“He who LOVES MONEY WILL NOT BE SATISFIED with MONEY, nor he who LOVES abundance with its GAIN. This too is vanity [emptiness]” Ecclesiastes 5:10.

  1. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSES TEMPTATION: It allows and leads to the BREAKING OF RULES, even THE LAW in order to get and acquire more at any cost irrespective of the underlying consequences.

“He that TILLETH HIS LAND shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after VAIN persons shall have poverty enough. 20 A FAITHFUL man shall abound with blessings: but he that MAKETH HASTE TO BE RICH SHALL NOT BE INNOCENT. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: FOR FOR A PIECE OF BREAD THAT MAN WILL TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH HATH AN EVIL EYE, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:19-22.

I pray you will not be entangled in bondage as a MONEY LOVER for mere self and selfish gratifications at – the EXPENSE of others, the decency and order of the RULE of law, the worth of living good to yourself, to family and to the community and to the nation you service.

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK AGAIN TO REWARD

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK AGAIN TO REWARD: MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW – WHILE YOU HAVE YOUR BREATH OF LIFE ON THIS SIDE OF THE HEAVENLY!
 
“Wherefore we LABOUR, that, whether PRESENT or ABSENT, we may be ACCEPTED of him. 10 For we must all APPEAR before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ; that every one may RECEIVE the things done in his body [HUMANITY], according to that he hath done, whether it be GOOD or BAD” 2 Corinthians 5:9-10.
 
Today is another day like many other days to remind you that – JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN ONE DAY – and beside, our heavenly home time call are unpredictable. And while you have this opportunity of being alive, endeavour to – MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND BE A HISTORY MAKER – in someone else’s life, today and always. It’s very important and imperative for your good and goodness, because there shall be a reckoning day where our WORK OF FAITH, LABOUR OF LOVE and PATIENCE OF HOPE [1 Thessalonians 1:3-5], shall be rewarded, whether done opening or secretly. For all Believer’s of God in Christ Jesus shall APPEAR before the JUDGEMENT SEAT of Christ for their respective rewards after the WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT of the separation of the sheep [the Believer’s] from the goats [the unbeliever’s] at the timing of the Lord God.
 
“For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the DEAD and LIVING. 10 But why dost thou JUDGE [EXAMINE] thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all STAND before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God” Romans 14:9-11/Emphasis Mine.
 
IT’S TIME TO ADD COLOUR TO SOMEONE ELSE LIFE – IT’S A GRACIOUS AND GRACEFUL THING TO DO. AM HERE TO SAY – THANK YOU AS YOU START THE ACT TODAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD AND GOODNESS.
 
Make it good to give COLOUR of graciousness and gracefulness to someone else beyond you. Take out any or all of these resources in your disposals today – TIME, FINANCE and EFFORT (Skill) and such like, and CALL or and GO visit that friend, relation or someone you know that have not being around for a while; more so, especially the one that have been absence for a while towards the CHURCH COMMUNITY GATHERING, and show sure God’s LOVE and CARES without worries and complaints. It’s a moment in life and history to encourage their faith in the Lord, pray with them and be of help to make them seek the Lord and His Church one more time.
 
“Beside THOSE THINGS [PERSONAL CHALLENGES] that are WITHOUT [EXTERNAL], that which cometh upon me DAILY, the CARE of ALL the CHURCHES” 2 Corinthians 11:28/Emphasis Mine.
 
A SMILE to the orphan, bereaved, wounded, broken, abandoned, forgotten, weary and such like is not only gracious and graceful, but CONTAGIOUS and MEMORABLE. Show some humane of love and cares today to someone in NEED – This is Scripturally called “PURE RELIGION” indeed.
 
“. . . Let us now GO BACK and VISIT our brethren in EVERY CITY where we have PREACHED THE WORD of the Lord, and see HOW THEY ARE DOING” Acts 15:36.
 
“. . . PURE and UNDEFILED religion before God and the Father is this: to VISIT orphans and widows in THEIR trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:22-27.
 
Be Blessed in GRACE and LIFE as you show some LOVE and CARE today in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. Be a DIFFERENCE – Be a HISTORY MAKER to someone else today in Christ Jesus stead. Give colour to your WORLDS in another.

THE “LOVE” OF MONEY

THE “LOVE” OF MONEY: THREE MAJOR CAUSES AND THE SIDED EFFECTS!

“For THE LOVE OF MONEY is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” 1 Timothy 6:10/Emphasis Mine.

MONEY (Finance) is a DE FACTO medium of exchange. And “MONEY” on its merit, it’s not EVIL or an EVIL or the ROOT of EVIL or ROOT of all EVIL as some acclaimed; but it is THE “LOVE OF MONEY”, that is what the ROOT of ALL EVIL thus indicate. Money is GOOD. It’s a great means of defence in life, when wisely and prudently expended.

“WISDOM along with an INHERITANCE is good. And an [excellent] advantage for those who see the sun. 12 For WISDOM is a protection even as MONEY is a protection, But the [excellent] advantage of KNOWLEDGE is that WISDOM shields and preserves the lives of its possessors” Ecclesiastes 7:11-12/Amplified.

Money is good when it’s made to serve or be a servant and not made to be as lord to every vital and legal means of living and doing life. You have to make money a servant or an errand tool only, and not your life controller, for only then you will experience the PEACE of mind that’s indescribable and incomprehensible. With peace of mind one is able to be CONTENT and LIVE GODLY, and to keep THE “LOVE OF MONEY” temptation at bay.

You must know and understand as God’s own that GAIN is not GODLINESS or equal to GODLINESS, but rather, that GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT, is a great GAIN as the Scripture enjoined.

“. . . 6 But GODLINESS actually is a SOURCE of GREAT GAIN when accompanied by CONTENTMENT [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the SUFFICIENCY of God]” 1 Timothy 6:3-6/Amplified.

And in as much as Money is good for the causes already explained, there’s a problem when one falls into the phase and sphere of – “THE LOVE OF MONEY”. For “THE LOVE OF MONEY” has some CAUSED and SIDED EFFECTS. And herein are THREE WARNING SIGNS to observe, in order not to be in a position of being captivated and enslaved by – “THE LOVE OF MONEY” syndromes:

#1. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSED WORRY: A lack of Sleep – sleeplessness moments, if and when the balance sheet is not meeting expectations or overwhelmingly breaking your set point.

“The sleep of a working man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the full stomach (greed) of the rich [who hungers for even more] WILL NOT LET HIM SLEEP” Ecclesiastes 5:12/Amplified.

#2. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSED DISSATISFACTIONS: It allows and breed greediness and covetousness.

“He who LOVES MONEY WILL NOT BE SATISFIED with MONEY, nor he who LOVES abundance with its GAIN. This too is vanity [emptiness]” Ecclesiastes 5:10.

#3. “THE LOVE OF MONEY” CAUSED TEMPTATION: It allows and leads to the BREAKING OF RULES, even THE LAW in order to get and acquire more at any cost irrespective of the underlying consequences.

“He that TILLETH HIS LAND shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after VAIN persons shall have poverty enough. 20 A FAITHFUL man shall abound with blessings: but he that MAKETH HASTE TO BE RICH SHALL NOT BE INNOCENT. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: FOR FOR A PIECE OF BREAD THAT MAN WILL TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH HATH AN EVIL EYE, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:19-22.

I pray you will not be entangled in bondage as a MONEY LOVER for a mere self and selfish gratifications at – the EXPENSE of others, the  decency and order of the RULE of law, the worth of living good to yourself, to family and to the community and to the nation you service.

 “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: BUT MONEY ANSWERETH ALL THINGS” Ecclesiastes 10:19.

“Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. 12 For WISDOM is a DEFENCE, and MONEY is a DEFENCE: but the excellency of knowledge is, that WISDOM giveth life to them that have it” Ecclesiastes 7:11-12.

JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK AGAIN TO REWARD: MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW – WHILE YOU HAVE YOUR BREATH OF LIFE ON THIS SIDE OF THE HEAVENLY!

“Wherefore we LABOUR, that, whether PRESENT or ABSENT, we may be ACCEPTED of him. 10 For we must all APPEAR before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ; that every one may RECEIVE the things done in his body [HUMANITY], according to that he hath done, whether it be GOOD or BAD” 2 Corinthians 5:9-10.

Today is another day like many other days to remind you that – JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN ONE DAY – and beside, our heavenly home time call are unpredictable. And while you have this opportunity of being alive, endeavour to – MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND BE A HISTORY MAKER – in someone else’s life, today and always. It’s very important and imperative for your good and goodness, because there shall be a reckoning day where our WORK OF FAITH, LABOUR OF LOVE and PATIENCE OF HOPE [1 Thessalonians 1:3-5], shall be rewarded, whether done opening or secretly. For all Believer’s of God in Christ Jesus shall APPEAR before the JUDGEMENT SEAT of Christ for their respective rewards after the WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT of the separation of the sheep [the Believer’s] from the goats [the unbeliever’s] at the timing of the Lord God.

“For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the DEAD and LIVING. 10 But why dost thou JUDGE [EXAMINE] thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all STAND before the JUDGMENT SEAT of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God” Romans 14:9-11/Emphasis Mine.

IT’S TIME TO ADD COLOUR TO SOMEONE ELSE LIFE – IT’S A GRACIOUS AND GRACEFUL THING TO DO. AM HERE TO SAY – THANK YOU AS YOU START THE ACT TODAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD AND GOODNESS.

Make it good to give COLOUR of graciousness and gracefulness to someone else beyond you. Take out any or all of these resources in your disposals today – TIME, FINANCE and EFFORT (Skill) and such like, and CALL or and GO visit that friend, relation or someone you know that have not being around for a while; more so, especially the one that have been absence for a while towards the CHURCH COMMUNITY GATHERING, and show sure God’s LOVE and CARES without worries and complaints. It’s a moment in life and history to encourage their faith in the Lord, pray with them and be of help to make them seek the Lord and His Church one more time.

“Beside THOSE THINGS [PERSONAL CHALLENGES] that are WITHOUT [EXTERNAL] , that which cometh upon me DAILY, the CARE of ALL the CHURCHES” 2 Corinthians 11:28/Emphasis Mine.

A SMILE to the orphan, bereaved, wounded, broken, abandoned, forgotten, weary and such like is not only gracious and graceful, but CONTAGIOUS and MEMORABLE. Show some humane of love and cares today to someone in NEED – This is Scripturally called “PURE RELIGION” indeed.

“. . . Let us now GO BACK and VISIT our brethren in EVERY CITY where we have PREACHED THE WORD of the Lord, and see HOW THEY ARE DOING” Acts 15:36.

“. . . PURE and UNDEFILED religion before God and the Father is this: to VISIT orphans and widows in THEIR trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” James 1:22-27.

Be Blessed in GRACE and LIFE as you show some LOVE and CARE today in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. Be a DIFFERENCE – Be a HISTORY MAKER to someone else today in Christ Jesus stead. Give colour to your WORLDS in another.

THE BLESSING OF GOD: It’s Not MATERIAL STUFF

THE BLESSING OF GOD: It’s Not MATERIAL STUFF As – Car, Property, Money and More!

Having material gains as CAR, PROPERTY, MONEY and MORE may be results of God’s BLESSINGS but not THE BLESSING of God. The BLESSING of God is the ENABLING and ENDOWED grace bestowed upon the BELIEVERS’ in Christ, and it’s firstly SPIRITUAL before it takes a PHYSICAL hold effect as a result of its operations and manifestations. For there are lots of people that have obtained all these mentioned material stuff above through illicit, wicked, oppressive and devilish ways. Could that be God – NO. Hence there are not the BLESSING of God.

Also, to ‘Being Blessed of God’ simply Means – to being Empowered To: Succeed, Achieved, Become, Innovate, Create, Get and such likes. For it’s THE BLESSING of God that makes one enriched in the kingdom and thus sustains one enrichment; it’s not just about having  material acquisition as money, property, car and more as known that makes one rich. For money and other material gains has wings, it comes and goes but THE BLESSING OF GOD that enriches us, ABIDES forever. Meaning, you can go being empowered to succeed again and again no matter what levels of challenges are about you. (Genesis 26:1-5, 12-25).

So, if you must crave and pursue, crave and pursue for God’s blessing and build your life on God’s blessing which will eventually enrich you and not just a pursuits on wealth or material acquisitions.

** God’s blessings are wholesome, complete, fulfilling, peaceful, all embracing and not limited to just things physical only but the total being of man – spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Luke 2:52).

** God’s blessings empowers and creates enrichment and fulfilment (Deuteronomy 8:18).

** Know also that you are blessed of God already (Ephesians 1:3/2 Peter 1:2-4), and it can be made tangible by faith – acting on the Word accordingly.

Therefore, I say to you, live on God’s Blessedness and all other things will come together timely. I pray that the blessings of God be your vehicle of enrichment in Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

LIVING THE BLESSED LIFE: THE BLESSING OF GOD IS WHOLESOME – AND IT’S LIFE GIVING!

“THE BLESSING of the LORD MAKES a person RICH, He ADDS NO SORROW to it” (Proverbs 10:22).

The  BLESSING of God is the ENABLING and ENDOWED grace bestowed upon the BELIEVERS’ in Christ, and it’s firstly SPIRITUAL before it takes a PHYSICAL hold effect as a result of its operations, administrations and manifestations. It thus means that THE BLESSING of God is Not MATERIAL Stuff as – Car, Property, Money, precious stones of – silver, gold, diamond and such like, as some people may do think or suggest. The Physical stuff rots, decays and expires but God’s BLESSEDNESS does not rot, decay and expire – and it’s not limited and subjected by any human, demonic or natural factors. It’s a TREASURED enabler of the heavenly for the earthly affairs in humanity.

“BLESSED be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christ” Ephesians 1:3.

“Do not LAY UP for yourselves TREASURES on earth, where MOTH and RUST destroy and where THIEVES break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves TREASURES in heaven, where neither MOTH nor RUST destroys and where THIEVES do not break in and steal. 21 For where your TREASURE is, there your HEART will be also” Matthew 6:19-21.

Hence, having the material gains as CAR, PROPERTY, MONEY and MORE is/are the results of THE BLESSING of God but not THE BLESSING of God itself. However, there are lots of people that have obtained all these mentioned material stuff through illicit, wicked, oppressive and devilish ways too. Could that be considered as THE BLESSING of God? The answer is NO, NEVER, NOT AT ALL. There are not the BLESSING of God because you can’t measure God’s BLESSEDNESS from the physical possessions – for a man’s life in BLESSEDNESS does not consist or measured simply on the abundance of physical things you think you possess.

“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of COVETOUSNESS: for a MAN’S LIFE CONSISTETH NOT in the ABUNDANCE of the things which he POSSESSETH” Luke 12:15.

There’s the need to know full that – to ‘BEING BLESSED OF GOD’ simply means to being EMPOWERED to – SUCCEED, ACHIEVE, BECOME, INNOVATE, CREATE, INITIATE, EXPLORE, GET and such like. For it’s THE BLESSING of God that makes one enriched in the kingdom and thus also sustains that enrichment of BLESSEDNESS; and it most be  noted that in the Kingdom, enrichment it’s not just about having  material acquisition as money, property, car and more as known that makes one rich.

You need to know full well that RICHES, otherwise depicted as the material gains of this world such as money and other precious material of worth has WINGS –  and they COMES to one, they can also GOES out of one’s reach, hence you can see many that were once called rich in human perception are now totally bankrupt and needy.

“Will you SET YOU EYES on that which is not? For RICHES certainly makes themselves WINGS; they fly away like an eagle towards heaven” Proverbs 23:5.

You need to know that in life and grace, it is only THE BLESSING of God that enriches and possess the assured enabling make one to ABIDE and ABOUND forever  in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. It thus means, you can be EMPOWERED to succeed again and again no matter what levels of challenges are about you even as Isaac of Abraham experience with God at famine after been at plenty at a time. Genesis 26:1-5, 12-25.

So if you must crave and pursue anything in Life and Godliness, then crave and pursue for God’s given BLESSEDNESS, that is acronym – THE BLESSING of God – and build your life on God’s given BLESSEDNESS which will eventually enrich you wholly and not just a pursuits on wealth or material acquisitions as many do or think or suggest to then depict it as God’s blessings.

THEREFORE KNOW FULL WELL THAT:

** THE BLESSING OF GOD is wholesome, complete, fulfilling, peaceful, all embracing and not limited to just things physical only but the total being of man – spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Luke 2:52).

** THE BLESSING OF GOD empowers, gives enabling, rights, privileges and creates enrichment and fulfilment (Deuteronomy 8:18).

** And You are BLESSED with THE BLESSING OF GOD as a possession already (Ephesians 1:3/2 Peter 1:2-4), and it can be made tangible today by FAITH – acting on THE WORD accordingly as you BELIEVE.

Henceforth, I say to you, live on God’s gracious BLESSEDNESS and all other things will come together timely. I pray that THE BLESSINGS of God be your vehicle of enrichment in Christ Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

GREED AND COVETOUSNESS – “THE LOVE OF MONEY”: THE THREE MAJOR CAUSES AND THEIR SIDE EFFECTS!

“For THE LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” (1 Timothy 6:10) (Emphasis Mine).

Money (Finance) is a de facto medium of exchange. On it’s own, it’s not EVIL or an EVIL or the ROOT of EVIL or ROOT of all EVIL as some acclaimed; but it is ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’ and to simply say – “THE LOVE OF THE MONEY” itself, that is, the ROOT of ALL EVIL.

Money is GOOD. It’s a great means of defence that answers and it’s answering man’s QUEST in doing life, especially when diligently, wisely and prudently obtained and expended without prejudice and dissimulation.

However, ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’ has some CAUSES and side EFFECTS especially when obtained by GREED and COVETEOUSNESS.

Herein are THREE WARNING SIGNS in order not to be in a position of being captivated and enslaved by – THE LOVE OF MONEY – obtained by GREED and COVETOUSNESS:

#1. It causes WORRY: A lack of Sleep – sleepless moments when the balance sheet is not meeting expectations or overwhelmingly breaking your set point.

“He that LOVETH SILVER shall not be SATISFIED with SILVER; nor he that LOVETH ABUNDANCE with INCREASE: this is also vanity” Ecclesiastes 5:10.

“He who LOVES MONEY will not be SATISFIED with MONEY, nor he who LOVES ABUNDANCE with its GAIN. This too is vanity (emptiness)” Ecclesiastes 5:10/Amplified

#3. It causes TEMPTATION: It allows and leads to the breaking of set rules and regulations, even the statutory law, in order to get and acquire more at any cost – which many have become accustomed.

“A FAITHFUL man shall ABOUND with blessings: BUT HE THAT MAKETH HASTE TO BE RICH SHALL NOT BE INNOCENT.  21 To have respect of persons is not good: FOR FOR A PIECE OF BREAD THAT MAN WILL TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH hath AN EVIL EYE, and considereth not that POVERTY shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:20-22.

“The TRUSTWORTHY person will get a RICH reward, but A PERSON WHO WANTS QUICK RICHES WILL GET INTO TROUBLE. 21 Showing partiality is never good, YET SOME WILL DO WRONG FOR A MERE PIECE OF BREAD. 22 GREEDY PEOPLE TRY TO GET RICH QUICK but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty” Proverbs 28:20 NLT.

Money is good in itself when it’s made to serve or be a servant and not as lord to any and every vital and legal means of living and doing life. Make it your servant or errand tool only and not your life controller, then you will experience the PEACE of mind indescribable. With peace of mind one is able to be CONTENTED, live GODLY, and to keep temptation, worry – anxiety and dissatisfaction at bay.

I pray you will not be entangled in bondage as a money lover for a mere self and selfish gratifications at the expense of others, the rule of law, and the decency and order in and for the community.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“For THE LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” (1 Timothy 6:10) (Emphasis Mine).

“A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: BUT MONEY ANSWERETH ALL THINGS” (Ecclesiastes 10:19).

THE “LOVE” OF MONEY: THREE MAJOR CAUSES AND THE SIDES EFFECTS!

“For THE LOVE OF MONEY is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with many SORROWS” 1Timothy 6:10 (Emphasis Mine).

MONEY (Finance) is a De FACTO medium of exchange. And MONEY on its merit, it’s not EVIL or an EVIL or the ROOT of EVIL or ROOT of all EVIL as some acclaimed; but it is THE “LOVE” OF MONEY, that is what the ROOT of ALL EVIL thus indicate. Money is GOOD. It’s a great means of defense in life, when wisely and prudently expended.

“WISDOM along with an INHERITANCE is good. And an [excellent] advantage for those who see the sun. 12 For WISDOM is a protection even as MONEY is a protection, But the [excellent] advantage of KNOWLEDGE is that WISDOM shields and preserves the lives of its possessors” Ecclesiastes 7:11-12 (Amplified).

Make it your servant or errand tool only and not your life controller, then you will experience the PEACE of mind that’s indescribable and incomprehensible. With peace of mind one is able to be CONTENT and LIVE GODLY, and to keep THE “LOVE” OF MONEY temptation at bay. For GAIN is not GODLINESS but GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT is a great gain the Scripture enjoined.

“. . . 6 But GODLINESS actually is a SOURCE of GREAT GAIN when accompanied by CONTENTMENT [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the SUFFICIENCY of God]” 1 Timothy 6:3-6 Amplified.

And in as much as Money is good for the cause already explained, there’s a problem when one falls into the phase and sphere of – ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’. For ‘THE LOVE OF MONEY’ has some CAUSES, or rather, SIDES EFFECTS. And herein are THREE WARNING SIGNS to observe, in order not to be in a position of being captivated and enslaved by – THE “LOVE” OF MONEY:

#1. THE “LOVE” OF MONEY CAUSES WORRY: A lack of Sleep – sleeplessness moments, if and when the balance sheet is not meeting expectations or overwhelmingly breaking your set point.

“The sleep of a working man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the full stomach (greed) of the rich [who hungers for even more] WILL NOT LET HIM SLEEP” Ecclesiastes 5:12 (Amplified).

#2. THE “LOVE” OF MONEY CAUSES DISSATISFACTIONS: It allows and breed greediness and covetousness –

“He who LOVES MONEY WILL NOT BE SATISFIED with MONEY, nor he who loves abundance with its gain. This too is vanity (emptiness)” Ecclesiastes 5:10.

#3. THE “LOVE” OF MONEY CAUSES TEMPTATION: It allows and leads to the BREAKING OF RULES, even THE LAW in order to get and acquire more at any cost irrespective of the underlying consequences.

“He that TILLETH HIS LAND shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after VAIN persons shall have poverty enough. 20 A FAITHFUL man shall abound with blessings: but he that MAKETH HASTE TO BE RICH SHALL NOT BE INNOCENT. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: FOR FOR A PIECE OF BREAD THAT MAN WILL TRANSGRESS. 22 He that HASTETH TO BE RICH HATH AN EVIL EYE, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:19-22.

I pray you will not be entangled in bondage as a MONEY LOVER for a mere self and selfish gratifications at – the EXPENSE of others, the  decency and order of the RULE of law, the worth of living good to yourself, to family and to the community and to the nation you service.

“Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye WITHDRAW yourselves from every brother that WALKETH DISORDERLY, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we BEHAVED NOT OURSELVES DISORDERLY among you; 8 neither did we eat any man’s BREAD FOR NOUGHT; but wrought with LABOUR and travail night and day, that we might not be CHARGEABLE to any of you: 9 not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. 10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, THAT IF ANY WOULD NOT WORK, NEITHER SHOULD HE EAT. 11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you DISORDERLY, working not at all, but are BUSYBODIES. 12 Now them that are such we COMMAND and EXHORT by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they WORK, and EAT their OWN bread” 2 Thessalonians 3:6-12.
