Whenever There’s A Lock Down Time: Make The Time Count And Account For Your Good!
“Wherefore he saith, AWAKE thou that SLEEPEST, and ARISE from the DEAD, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye WALK CIRCUMSPECTLY, not as fools, but as WISE, 16 REDEEMING THE TIME, because the DAYS ARE EVIL (DIFFICULT, CHALLENGING). 17 Wherefore be ye not UNWISE, but UNDERSTANDING what the will of the Lord is” Ephesians 5:14-16/Emphasis Mine.
I hope you know that you are the Church that the Lord God is building by His word and the Holy Spirit through faith in His grace [Matthew 16:13-20; Act 20:32; Ephesians 4:11-16; Ephesians 5:21-33]. When you know who you are in the grace in Christ Jesus, it changes your perception, context, concept, and content in the affairs of the kingdom wherein you’ve been made a royal priesthood, a chosen generation and peculiar person, to show forth the praises of Good that dwells in you [1 Peter 2:9-10; Romans 5:1-2]. The essence of the knowledge helps you to know that you are the Church and nothing can shut you down except you give the permission and authority given to you away to make it so [Luke 10:17-20; Mark 16:15-20]. This shows you are the custodian of your peace, happiness, and kingdom inheritance in God’s grace as promised. You are a product of your choices by the things you allow and permit to affect you.
“So now, brethren, I COMMEND you to God and to THE WORD OF HIS GRACE, which is able to BUILD you up and GIVE you an INHERITANCE among all those who are SANCTIFIED” Acts 20:32.
“But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. 10 For God is not UNJUST [UNRIGHTEOUS, UNFAITHFUL] to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that each one of you show the same DILIGENCE to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become SLUGGISH, but imitate those who through FAITH and PATIENCE INHERIT THE PROMISES” Hebrews 6:9-12.
Letting lockdowns or curfews pass without utilising them indicates poor time management in LIFE and GRACE. Cultivate an intentional attitude to kill boredom and wisely use the time – make it count!
It’s time to diligently and prudently maximise curfew or lockdown time with a good outlook. When it’s over, you will have something tangible to show. Don’t waste it on complaining, mourning, blaming, insecurity, aggression, or uncontrollable anger. Use it wisely, hoping in God’s grace.
“Walk in WISDOM toward them that are without, REDEEMING THE TIME” Colossians 4:5.
It’s time to take advantage of curfew or lockdown to REDEEM THE TIME, in order to catch up on lost time, and to update, upgrade, and get ahead in matters where you thought time was a constraint. Pursue projects with innovation, creativity, DILIGENCE and PRUDENCE.
“Seest thou a man DILIGENT in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” Proverbs 22:29.
“Good UNDERSTANDING giveth FAVOUR: but the way of TRANSGRESSORS is HARD [DIFFICULT, CHALLENGING]. 16 Every PRUDENT man DEALETH WITH KNOWLEDGE: but a fool layeth open his folly” Proverbs 13:15-16/Emphasis Mine.
Instead of wasting time on irrelevant matters that are not profitable to enhance you by any means, devote it to healthy things that will boost – friendship, relationship, family, business, career, ministry. Then you will proudly say, “This is the result of lockdown time.” No fear or negativity when you work wisely in obedience according to the Scriptures.

REDEEM the time through DILIGENCE and PRUDENCE. Make gains for your good at this lockdown. Don’t waste your precious time. Make your time resource valuable in every way for the good of your today and tomorrow. You are the CUSTODIAN of your HAPPINESS. Make your time count and account for your HAPPINESS.
