THIS CHRISTMAS – WHAT IS IT TO YOU: IS IT – CHRISTMAS Or XMAS – I Know It’s “CHRIST” For “CHRISTMAS” And Not An ‘X’ For “CHRIST” As In “XMAS”!

What is CHRISTMAS? It is the treasured yearly commemoration and Celebration of God’s LOVE to mankind in the BIRTH of our – Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus – and His REDEMPTION CAUSE on earth for all mankind.

It’s imperative to commemorate and celebrate Christ birth. In being objective, I have sectioned the word Christmas in this way. That is, CHRIST and MAS. Wherefore, Christ – means, the anointed One, the Messiah, the Saviour, the Holy one of Israel and the Redeemer. And ‘MAS’ for ‘MASS’ means – The Gathering – To Celebrate, Commemorate and Observe. Hence CHRISTMAS in this context is the yearly commemoration and Celebration of God’s love in the birth of Christ and His REDEMPTION cause on Earth to all mankind.

This thus signifies “CHRISTMAS” as the sharing of that GRACE and the benediction of the triune God which is expressed through their LOVE to mankind in COMMUNION – FELLOWSHIP – as it’s written:

“The GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ and the LOVE of God, and the COMMUNION of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen” 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Some have replaced the ‘Christ’ of Christmas with an ‘X’ for Xmas. Probably because they are ignorant or they can’t comprehend and imagine the good that Christ brings into Christmas, hence they chose the use of the negative connotations that ‘X’ represents. You see it in advert through the media, Christmas cards and such like places to undermine the true essence for which Christ was born and named in Christmas.

CHRIST is not the same as ‘X’ connotation. It is not a worthwhile abbreviation either by any margins.

However, there are other opinions about Christmas, while some say Christmas is not important and is not worth any form of commemoration and celebration because

it’s a heathen day, a pagan holiday. Others indicate that December 25th is not the day on which Christ was born and some even claimed it’s in October. Some people also say that He was born spiritual and not with physical nature – not in humanity. According to some it is for pagans and Satanists due to the glamorous events and activities that are now associated to this date especially with the financial indiscipline and indebtedness people entangle themselves into as a result of the celebration. and commemoration in quote.

May I say that just because the enemy perverts and distorts the meaning and essence of the celebration of Christmas, does not mean that we should let go of that which we believe is of God – that is, that Christ was BORN for us all according to the scriptures irrespective of individuals or selective fews indignation of Christ birth in humanity. 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 4:1-6.

For me and every supposed Spirit born child of God, what is vital in the whole scenario of indifference is that Christ was born in the flesh – humanity. This is without controversy

as endorsed in 1 Timothy 3:16. Dates and times not withstanding and should not be an issue, but the act of acknowledging this very fact and truth of God in the light of the Holy Scriptures makes the journey of the Christian FAITH meaningful and fulfilling to anyone that believes in Christ Jesus as saviour and Lord as in the scriptures.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“And WITHOUT CONTROVERSY great is the mystery of godliness: God was MANIFEST in the FLESH (HUMANITY), JUSTIFIED in the Spirit, SEEN of angels, PREACHED unto the Gentiles, BELIEVED on in the world, RECEIVED up into glory” 1 Timothy 3:16.

“Beloved, BELIEVE not EVERY spirit, but TRY (EXAMINE) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that CONFESSETH that Jesus Christ is COME in the FLESH (HUMANITY) is of God: 3 and every spirit that CONFESSETH NOT that Jesus Christ is COME in the FLESH (HUMANITY) is NOT of God: and this is that spirit of ANTICHRIST, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now ALREADY is it in the WORLD. 4 Ye ARE of God, little children, and have OVERCOME them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They ARE of the WORLD: therefore SPEAK they of the world, and the world HEARETH them. 6 We ARE of God: he that KNOWETH God HEARETH us; he that is NOT of God HEARETH NOT us. Hereby KNOW we the spirit of TRUTH, and the spirit of ERROR” 1 John 4:1-6 (Emphasis Mine).

“That the COMMUNICATION of thy FAITH may become EFFECTUAL by the ACKNOWLEDGING of EVERY GOOD thing which is IN YOU in Christ Jesus” Philemon 1:6.

THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY

THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY: KNOWING And UNDERSTANDING The ESSENCE!

Am yet to find one Believer in Christ who does not wants to actualize and see that everything about their Faith in Christ Jesus, is TANGIBLE, REACHABLE and LIVEABLE. Unfortunately, not all are experiencing the FULLNESS of Christ Jesus stead in their day to day living, as expected IN THE GRACE wherein we STAND as in the Holy Writ.

“Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 by whom also we have ACCESS BY FAITH into this GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND, and REJOICE IN HOPE of the glory of God” Romans 5:1-2.

In ESSENCE, actualizing our REDEMPTION REALITY in Christ Jesus, can only be made possible through firstly – KNOWLEDGE – that is, by the ACKNOWLEDGING; and secondly it’s with the UNDERSTANDING of one’s FAITH in Christ Jesus – being COMMUNICATED to matters of Life and Godly Living as it’s written in the Holy Writ:

“That the COMMUNICATION of your FAITH may become EFFECTUAL (productive, result oriented) by the ACKNOWLEDGING of every GOOD THING which is IN YOU in Christ Jesus” Philemon 6 (Emphasis mine).

And until you can ACTUALISE the ESSENCE of REDEMPTION of Christ Jesus in and for you, the COMMUNICATION of your FAITH in Christ Jesus will always be a – struggle, strange, burdensome, irksome and taskmaster like. It’s for this lack of the knowledge and understanding of THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY that there are many MERE – ‘AMEN’, HALLELUJAH’ ‘I RECEIVE’ and ‘BLESS ME’ – Christians around despite their long-standing efforts in the Churches of Christ. This OUGHT not to be so in Christ Jesus and for all that Christ Jesus is to us in God.

I am emboldened to say that you can APPROPRIATE and ENACT through personal knowledge and understanding, of THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY in your redemption in Christ Jesus, of all that God has – DONE IN you, DONE FOR you, DONE WITH you and He’s DOING THROUGH you, supposedly and indeed.

Here are a few ESSENCE to enable you to see gracious reasons to earnestly crave and seek for THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY through ACKNOWLEDGING and UNDERSTANDING of all that God deed for you in Christ Jesus; this is to help you APPROPRIATE and ENACT with ease your REDEMPTION into reality and as a POSSESSION. It is the KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING:

** That a man’s ignorance is His own mountain, but the knowledge of the truth gives freedom and dominion – John 8:32.

** That knowledge will deliver from life and scriptural errors, and helps one engage with God’s power to save, deliver and restore – Matthew 22:29.

** That your dominion in life is a product of your knowledge – Daniel 11:32.

** That a man’s value for knowledge determines his ultimate worth – Isaiah 33:6.

** That knowledge is power, freedom and dominion, while religion is imprisonment and bondage – Luke 11:52.

** That the grace that determines our status is a function of knowledge – 2 Peter 1:2.

** That when you run after knowledge, goodness and mercy runs after you – Proverbs 1:22, 29-33.

** That People who hate knowledge can’t secure heaven’s favor – Proverbs 13:15; Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13-15.

** That age is not equal to knowledge, and should not be taken for knowledge – Job. 32:7-9.

** That if your thoughts are not updated, your life will be outdated – Proverbs 24:5.

** That when you add a little MORE knowledge to your life daily, you live a little better – Proverbs 4:18.

** That whatever you have no value for you have no access to – Mark. 6:5-6.

** That studying for knowledge is not a transferable responsibility – 2 Timothy 2:15.

** That the only authentic proof of knowledge is freedom and liberty – John 8:32.

** That when you don’t grow in the spirit of knowledge, you end up groaning in life – 2 Peter 3:18.

** That those who seek to know men, don’t know God; when you seek to know God, people will seek to know you – Jeremiah 17:5-8; Matthew 6:24.

** That your knowledge of Jesus makes you absolutely sure of tomorrow – John 17:3; Isaiah 33:6.

** And you can’t POSSESS a lasting POSSESSION with unsecured knowledge – Proverbs 25:2; Job 23:12; Matthew 22:29.

This writ above though not limited, indicates the essence of KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING of the Holy in order to access the FULNESS of Him. Hence I say, Don’t SETTLE and BECOME a believer in Christ Jesus, who is envelope just with – ‘BLESS ME’, ‘HALLELUJAH’, ‘I RECEIVE’, ‘AMEN’ and such like – seek after knowing and understanding the Holy one for your ESSENCE and FULNESS.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall POSSESS THEIR POSSESSIONS” Obadiah 1:17.

“The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: 7 turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. 8 Behold, I have set the land before you: GO in and POSSESS the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them” Deuteronomy 1:6-8.

“Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was ACCOUNTED to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the GOSPEL unto Abraham, saying, In Thee Shall All Nations Be Blessed. 9 So then THEY WHICH BE OF FAITH ARE BLESSED WITH FAITHFUL ABRAHAM . . . 13 Christ hath REDEEMED us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 that THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the PROMISE of the Spirit through faith . . . 26 For ye are all the children of God by FAITH in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither BOND NOR FREE, there is neither MALE NOR FEMALE: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29.

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 and i will make of thee a GREAT NATION, and I will BLESS thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a BLESSING: 3 and I will BLESS them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: AND IN THEE SHALL ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED” Genesis 12:1-3.

Be EMBOLDENED To Say NAY – NO – When It Matters

Be EMBOLDENED To Say NAY – NO – When It Matters: There’s Enabling GRACE For It!

We live in a time wherein most people have indebted themselves or found themselves at crossroads because they wants to DO God for others, to PLEASE planet earth, and MAKE everyone HAPPY at their inadequacies, to SAVE face from offending and to ENSURE their PRIDE in pain. I say Enough of that COWARDICE ACT of life.

Am here to let you know that it’s a high time to STOP making promises you CAN’T keep so that you can walk with your head up and shoulder high, and on your high heels, in grace and peace of mind. And it’s time to also let you know that it is not a crime or even a sin to say NO to a demand or gesture that wants you to do contrary to your FAITH capacity toward God in Christ Jesus stead; and much more, not been daunted when you say NO due to your inability to meet up with the statuesque of others demand and the prevalence in your set environment. Don’t be the people pleaser, be God’s pleaser towards people in order to save your breath, live healthily, otherwise when you fault, you are gone.

You don’t have to put yourself in a crossroad to swear or take an oath to prove your point of inability – you owe nobody an apology of what you can or cannot. Be truthful to yourself in God and be EMBOLDENED to say NO – NAY, to any unwelcome demand, just as you can say

YES – YEA, in ALL matters of DOING life, this will help to enhance your today and tomorrow in GODLINESS without feeling guilty – 1 Timothy 4:7-8.

Lots of people have ended up in debt in order to – save face, please others for no just cause and to fit into the demands of peers and statuesque of colleagues and friends. Beloved in Christ, we are not in a competitive world with any or yourself to make you belong. You are a child of God and of PURPOSE. Live within your FAITH and PURPOSE capacity.

It’s a more gracious graceful sphere, to follow your God’s given PLAN, PURPOSE and PURSUIT in life, if you must found your true HAPPINESS and MEANINGFUL FULFILLMENT in LIFE and GODLINESS. Ensure that you LIVE and DO LIFE as by the prompting of the Lord by His Holy Spirit in you, and through the WORD, in order to live free and be happy to help any where you can, without guilt and shame at any point.

May I enjoin you to know that the Scriptures indicates that the justified in Christ Jesus shall live by their own FAITH in God through Him. So let nobody makes you through pressure to be their ANSWER and especially to their so-called DESTINY HELPER; to be the ANSWERS to their PRAYERS when you are not God, knowing you are unable to fit into that shoe as been pressured. Don’t LIVE someone else life of FAITH for them – it’s unscriptural. Worst still, is to do God for them. Our God is a jealous God, He does not share His person and GLORY with any – BE WARN.

Don’t DO God or be a godfather or answer in DEBT that’s my point. Not saying you can’t help out for people where you can, but to endeavour to say NO without feeling guilty or ashamed in meeting someone dear needs when you cannot. You need to live by your own FAITH as led by the Holy Spirit through God’s WORD in all capacity of life matters – Habakkuk 2:4. Live and help within your FAITH and not in any pressure to do anything and become incapacitated for others good. That’s unscriptural.

Saying NO should not be embarrassing at all just as saying YES should not be either. Don’t take a PARACETAMOL for someone else ACHES, otherwise you may start aching for your inadequacy for not been emboldened to have say NAY – NO, when you should have. Help where you could. Fit in where you could. Much more, LIVE AND DO LIFE BY YOUR FAITH.

Don’t REACT to pressure in anyway by any means; always RESPOND by the WORD in the Holy Spirit that’s GIVEN to you to do LIFE in LOVE by GRACE – Romans 5:5. You are RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE on your life decisions. Make goodly choices.

BE BOLD TO SAY NO – JUST AS YOU CAN SAY YES – LIVE WITHIN YOUR FAITH – DON’T DO GOD FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE – DO ONLY THE WORD WHILE GOD DO GOD.

I pray God gives you wisdom in this regards before you found yourself at life crossroads and in guilt not knowing to say NO just as to say YES.

“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the JUST shall LIVE by HIS FAITH” Habakkuk 2:4 (Emphasis Mine).

“Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your COMMUNICATION be, YEA, YEA; NAY, NAY: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil” Matthew 5:36-37 (Emphasis Mine).

“But ABOVE ALL THINGS, my brethren, SWEAR NOT, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither BY ANY OTHER OATH: but let your YEA be YEA; and your NAY, NAY; lest ye fall into condemnation” James 5:12 (Emphasis Mine).

“For the GRACE of God has appeared that OFFERS SALVATION to all people. 12 It TEACHES us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good” Titus 2:11-13 NIV (Emphasis Mine).
