JESUS THE CHRIST: HE IS – THE CHRIST OF CHRISTMAS – BEING COMMEMORATED AND CELEBRATED THIS DECEMBER!

“Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was JESUS THE CHRIST” Matthew 16:20.

CHRIST JESUS – He’s the REASON for the SEASON. He’s the reason for the commemoration and celebration. Outside Him there’s no authentic and genuine reason that can make the season to be efficacious.

For me, when you take Christ from ‘CHRISTMAS’ you have ‘MAS’ which means ‘MAN AT SELF’ while with Christ it means ‘MAN AT SUFFICIENCY’.

CHRISTMAS is a yearly commemoration and Celebration of God’s LOVE to mankind in the BIRTH of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus and His REDEMPTION cause on earth for the good and goodness of All mankind.

CHRIST means – The anointed one, The Messiah, The Saviour, The Redeemer and much more – The soon coming King; while the MASS means – to Celebrate, to observe and commemorate.

Therefore, in this Month DECEMBER, let us commemorate and celebrate Him, for He is indeed born in our hearts and in our being. His birth is the rebirth of:

*Peace and goodwill toward men

*Hope, Faith & Love for men

*Fellowship and Relationship

*Salvation for all mankind and more.

However, as wonderful as Christmas commemoration and celebration is, be it known that Christ is enthroned, and,

He is no longer:

* The babe in the manger

* The servant to death

* The limited one and

* The Christ on the Cross.

He’s now the:

* God on the throne

* Omnipotent- (unlimited, all powerful)

* Omnipresent – (ever present, everywhere the same time) and

* Omniscience (all knowing, all understanding and all wise).

May Christ be all above to you, this Day, this Christmas and this December. I pray you have a blessed celebration and commemoration in God’s grace and BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name IMMANUEL” Isaiah 7:14.

“Now the BIRTH of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost . . . 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall SAVE his people from their sins . . . 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, God WITH us . . . 25 and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS” Matthew 1:18-25.

“For unto us a CHILD is BORN, unto us a SON is GIVEN: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” Isaiah 9:6-7.

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Cæsarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the SON OF MAN am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the CHRIST, the Son of the living God . . . 20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was JESUS THE CHRIST” Matthew 16:13-20.
