MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN CHRIST JESUS: IS AT A COST – THE COST OF LOVE!

LOVE is an ESSENCE of life that everyone talks about daily, wants to both give and experience, but how many know and understood the magnanimity of the cost of LOVE to both receive from the giver and to offer the same or more to another. It must be known and understood, that, every great relationship that has stood the pace of time, is because of the absolute commitment and dedication in self-denials for the good of the other, in order to ensure that the bedrock of LOVE upon which they are and were founded, grounded, rooted and characterized are NEVER allowed to be shaken by any factors known and unknown that contradicts the LOVE in essence. (Ephesians 3:17-19; 1 Corinthians 13:1-13). And as a child of God in Christ Jesus’ stead, I know how much you want to daily experience being a MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ Jesus as you appropriate the ESSENCE. I am here to tell you that it’s at a cost – LOVE cost. The MORE THAN CONQUERORS essence is born out of the COST of LOVE. And it’s in our going through the journey of knowing and understanding that LOVE is at a COST, that makes the essence meaningful and fulfilling as we appropriate.

I want to emphasize emphatically that being able to exercise the essence of being a MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ Jesus’ stead, is at a cost. IT WASN’T JUST A MERE GIVEN. It’s not cheap and out there at no cost. It’s at the cost of LOVE. It COST God His Son, our Lord, and Saviour Jesus Christ, and it COST His Son, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ His life at the cross of crucifixion, through the pains and pangs of suffering even unto death.

And this His life COST to us by Father God, was and is – LOVE. Meaning therefore, that God’s LOVE, AGAPE, the unconditional, principle, non-sentimental, transcending, surpassing and scriptural context LOVE, wherein He loves us to give His only Beloved Son, the first begotten from the dead, and by whom, it beholds Him to call us BRETHREN, expended it all in LOVE at a cost for our sake without a shadow of turning. (Romans 8:28; John 3:16; Revelation 1:5-6)

Therefore, it becomes apparent, that it takes a PURE CONSCIENCE of God’s genuine LOVE at a COST, which sometimes and most times, where possible, takes a toe on us, for one to actually and genuinely APPROPRIATE the MORE THAN CONQUERORS essence in Christ Jesus. Hence the characteristics of LOVE is a vitality to ensure a genuine LOVE cost. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13; Romans 12:9-21.

And I ask you today – do you want to experience the fulness, wholeness, perfection, completeness and maturity of the MORE THAN CONQUERORS stead in Christ Jesus? How much PREPARED are you to LOVE God in Christ Jesus stead, no matter what betides you for the cause of living, in following Him all the way? How PREPARED are you to say daily to take a stand in the Lord before the enormous challenges of life MATTERS when you are BUFFETED for your FAITH in God in Christ Jesus? Can you be emboldened to say I love the LORD and His cause and you will follow along irrespective of these but not limited elements of opposition to your FAITH and devotion to God in Christ Jesus: condemnation, or tribulation, or distress, persecution, or famine, nakedness, or peril, or sword, or death, or life, or angels, or principalities, or powers, or things present, or things to come, or height, or depth, or any other creature and such like. (Romans 8:31-39).

May I say that you need to be fully PERSUADED and CONTRAIN to LOVE God by His LOVE that He has GIVEN us by His Spirit for you to actualised in essence in your being – MORE THAN CONQUERORS dimensions of following God by FAITH in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:35, 37, 39; 2 Corinthians 5:11-15; Romans 4:17-21)

To be MORE THAN CONQUERORS over your ENEMY and COHORTS for example, it takes taking an account to count the COST of LOVE to God’s WORD to do the SCRIPTURAL DEMAND to love your ENEMY and COHORTS, to feed them if in hunger and to quench their thirst with a drink as the scriptures enjoined. And it’s in pleasing God by taking the SCRIPTURAL TRUTH as it’s demand of you, that you can genuine appropriate the essence of being A MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ Jesus stead. (1 John 5:1-5; Matthew 5:43-48; Romans 12:20-21; Proverbs 25:21-22; Proverbs 16:7; Hebrews 11:6; Galatians 5:6)

Take time today and always to ask yourself on how much to go to LOVE God back in His LOVE definition stand, that’s GIVEN to you by the bestowed Holy Spirit to ensure, as He loves you, just as for His Son to SUFFER in LOVE to genuinely LOVE you too. That’s how to live through LOVE in FAITH toward God and His Christ in all matters of doing life and living godly and through the avenues of any relationship but not limited in – Marriage, Friendship, Colleagues, Business, Career, Leadership, Ministry, Community and such like.

It’s time to SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK, that LOVE is at a COST to ensure one to be able to appropriate to the FULNESS, a MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ Jesus stead.

May God find you faithful and in faith in His BLESSEDNESS, in experiencing the cost of LOVE, to be MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Him, in Christ Jesus’ stead. Amen.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“BEHOLD, what MANNER of LOVE the Father hath BESTOWED upon us, that we should be CALLED the SONS of God: therefore the world KNOWETH us not, because it KNEW him not” 1 John 3:1.

“And HOPE maketh not ASHAMED; because the LOVE of God is SHED abroad in our HEARTS by the Holy Ghost which is GIVEN unto us . .   8 But God COMMENDETH his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were YET SINNERS, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5, 8.

“Who in the days of his FLESH (HUMANITY), when he had OFFERED up prayers and supplications with STRONG CRYING and TEARS unto him that was able to SAVE him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 though he were a Son, yet LEARNED he OBEDIENCE by the things which he SUFFERED; 9 and being made PERFECT (COMPLETE, WHOLE, MATURED, FULNESS), he became the AUTHOR of eternal salvation unto all them that OBEY him” Hebrews 5:7-9 (Emphasis Mine). 

“For this is THANKWORTHY, if a man for CONSCIENCE toward God ENDURE grief, SUFFERING wrongfully. 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be BUFFETED for your faults, ye shall take it PATIENTLY? but if, when ye do well, and SUFFER for it, ye take it PATIENTLY, this is ACCEPTABLE with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye CALLED: because Christ also SUFFERED for us, leaving us an EXAMPLE, that ye should follow his steps: 22 who did NO sin, neither was GUILE FOUND in his mouth: 23 who, when he was REVILED, REVILED not again; when he SUFFERED, he THREATENED not; but COMMITTED himself to him that judgeth righteously: 24 who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls” 1 Peter 2:19-25. 

“For God so loved the world, that he GAVE his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16.

“This is my commandment, That ye LOVE one another, as I have LOVED you. 13 GREATER LOVE hath no man than this, that a man LAY DOWN his LIFE for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I COMMAND you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” John 15:12-16.

“Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having LOVED his own which were in the world, he LOVED them unto the END. 2 And supper being ended, the DEVIL having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to BETRAY him . . . 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have LOVED you, that ye also LOVE one another. 35 By THIS (LOVE) shall ALL men know that ye are MY DISCIPLES, if ye have LOVE one to another” John 13:1-2, 34-35 (Emphasis Mine). 

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbour, and HATE thine ENEMY. 44 But I say unto you, LOVE your ENEMIES, BLESS them that CURSE you, do GOOD to them that HATE you, and PRAY for them which DESPITEFULLY use you, and PERSECUTE you; 45 that ye may be the CHILDREN of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye LOVE them which LOVE you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye SALUTE your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore PERFECT (WHOLE, MATURED COMPLETE FULNESS), even as your Father which is in heaven is PERFECT” Matthew 5:43-48 (Emphasis Mine).

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be FOR us, who can be AGAINST us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but DELIVERED him up for us all, how shall he not with him also FREELY give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that JUSTIFIETH. 34 Who is he that CONDEMNETH? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh INTERCESSION for us. 35 WHO shall SEPARATE us from the LOVE of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that LOVED us. 38 For I am PERSUADED, that NEITHER death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to SEPARATE us from the LOVE of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:31-39.

GREAT – If You Don’t Do IDOLS

GREAT – If You Don’t Do IDOLS: How About SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS!

It’s very easy for any to credit themselves and say – I DON’T DO IDOLS. Meaning I have no image, picture and object and even shrine that I go, consult and or make sacrifices towards.

More so I don’t REVERED and BELIEVED in any man-made gods. However, I hope you do not practice SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

What is SACRILEGE? It’s the sharing in the spirits, gains, offerings, tokens, pleasures and such likes as a result of IDOLS or and IDOLATOR’S in one’s life.

I can honestly say I know both ends because I was born into it before knowing Christ Jesus and turning my life away from IDOLS and IDOLATRY to FAITH in God through my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

When you as a BELIEVER in Christ Jesus, begins to share in the spirits, gains, offerings, pleasures and such likes acts indirectly if not directly involved, of the practices of IDOLS or IDOLATRY, the Scripture of Romans 1:18, 32 indicates you are a PARTNER and PARTAKER of such SACRILEGIOUS ACTS – knowingly or unknowingly. Hence ignorance is not an excuse – (Acts 17:30-32).

Some Examples of such SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS are:

*** Asking someone to consult a MEDIUM, SEER, WITCH, ORACLES, FAMILIAR spirits and SUCH LIKES on your behalf to get an ANSWER to your life quest – that’s seeking the GAINS and PLEASURES from such IDOLS – demons or the humans who acts as COHORTS and PRINCIPALITIES in use. When you do such, you are invariably a PARTAKER and PARTNER of the gains and pleasures. Sometimes they may give you items to hold, use and do certain things on you as INCISIONS on the body in some instances, in order to satisfy the spirits of such consultations – an entrance to hidden and unseen demonic craft and bondage.

*** In some typical Culturalised Communities but not limited, lots of Festivals such as – FARMING (Yam, Cassava, Plantain etc), FISHING (Various Assorted water creatures) and such likes are held (celebrated and commemorated) to enact the year PRODUCE and to appease for further years to come. The Community Chief Priest are requested to consults the gods of the land (community) to satisfy the needed doings or sacrifice before the start off to the consumption of the particular crop harvest. When you share in such acts, you invoke the fallen spirits (demons) of darkness – principalities and powers – assigned to that community by Satan to act along in your life as he does in the community though you are not literally involved behind the scene of appease and invoking to the IDOLS – gods of the land they call it. And geographical locations or background is no exception to the operations of these spiritual demonic beings.

*** Sometimes, couples are desperate to have a child or children, and some singles who feel age is not on their side in getting married, will send relatives, friends and who they deem trustworthy to go on their behalf to make consultations to either an IDOLS priest or directly to the IDOLS, to get every necessary help. Such helpful consultations to obtain/make gains, is called SACRILEGE – a SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** Sometimes, People who feels that their Business (Entrepreneurship), Career, position of Authority and Power (Political, Ministry, Civil Services etc) and such likes is/are not making a headway as expected, will do anything to forge ahead. Many results to SACRILEGE to settle such scores to avoid been known.

*** Sometimes, some in haste to get RICH, WEALTH, PASS EXAMINATIONS, WIN IN TOURNAMENTS and such likes will do any DEMAND placed before them so long objectives are acquired. Many will result to consultations via the SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** When you as a BELIEVER in Christ becomes agents or vehicle of use to help, assist and abate people who are in difficulties by taking advantage of their vulnerability to do consultations to these IDOLS – demonic acts of darkness, the Scripture indicates you are PLEASURING and as such practicing SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

All these acts of SACRILEGE mentioned and such likes that are not mentioned, has consequences and side effects to all who are involved, directly or indirectly in a way. And divine judgements could be imminent or later when least expected.

Therefore, RUN and KEEP yourself away from IDOLS and SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS for your own good and the good of those you care about for today and tomorrow. IF INDEED YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE INDEED A CHILD OF GOD’S KINGDOM IN CHRIST JESUS – KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM SACRILEGE – AND SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest IDOLS, dost thou COMMIT SACRILEGE?” Romans 2:21-22.

“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which COMMIT such things (as SACRILEGE) are worthy of death, not only do the same, but HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM THAT DO THEM” Romans 1:32 (Emphasis Mine).

“He that HASTETH to be RICH hath an EVIL EYE, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him” Proverbs 28:22.

“We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 19 We know [for a fact] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. 20 And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world] and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from IDOLS— [false teachings, moral compromises, and ANYTHING that would take God’s PLACE in your HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21 (Amplified).

“What do I mean then? That a thing offered to idols is anything [special or changed simply because it is offered], or that an idol is anything? 20 On the contrary, the things which the Gentiles (pagans) sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons [in effect], and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons [by eating at feasts in pagan temples]. 21 You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them]” 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

“‘Do not turn to MEDIUMS [who pretend to consult the dead] or to SPIRITISTS [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” Leviticus 19:31.

“As for the person who turns to MEDIUMS [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them]. . . 27 ‘A man or woman who is a medium [who pretends to consult the dead] or who is a spiritist shall most certainly be put to death, and be stoned with stones; their blood is on them.” Leviticus 20:6, 27.

“. . . 7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Find for me a woman who is a MEDIUM [between the living and the dead], so that I may go to her and ask her advice.” His servants said to him, “There is a woman who is a medium at En-dor . . . ” 1 Samuel 28.

“Listen carefully, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders [that will occur] in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. 19 When the people [instead of trusting God] say to you, “CONSULT THE MEDIUMS [who try to talk to the dead] and the SOOTHSAYERS who chirp and whisper and mutter,” SHOULD NOT A PEOPLE CONSULT THEIR GOD? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 [Direct those people] to the law and to the testimony! IF THEIR TEACHINGS ARE NOT IN ACCORD WITH THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DAWN” Isaiah 8:18-20.
