JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM: FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM!

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ SET US FREE [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1 (Amplified).

You don’t have to go and look too far away from you to note through the mirror of life that the entire world are interconnected, and are built up and built on and built by many communities of like minded – and each are of various unions, associations and passion in many respect; and their coming together are for a common cause and purpose, and they are in the course to create, promote, explore, initiate and enhance a kind of FEEEDOM to meet a particular interest.

The irony of life is that each of all these various acts of coming together either at International, national, community, work place, streets and the family enforced levels, have NOT given any, the genuine total FREEDOM as so much desired, anticipated and expected to experience in their fulness. And, knowingly and unknowingly, and in most of the various cases, what they do considered at a time as a FREEDOM, has become the foundation for another unidentified and unaccounted bondages; and unfortunately, the entanglement in its causes and course are at a cost, and enormous in various ways. And the changes with time to suit or solve one problem has created another in it in many other ways – hence some have folded up, others surviving instead of thriving, and many others are just in existence to count time by and by for next move.

It’s therefore imperative to know that the allegiance to all forms of man-made STATUE and ARCHITECTURE IMAGE that has been believed, revered, adored and adopted in some places as such, all in the name of serving the symbol of landmarks, are in fact classed in SCRIPTURAL terms as an IDOL. Especially when you examine the reason for such high places STATUE, SYMBOLIC IMAGES in our high streets and City Centres and other designated high places. Most times they depicts in essence of ENSLAVING, BONDAGES, INSULT, SEGREGATION, MARGINALISATION and such like – because what they once signify in a particular generation and dispensation it’s no longer welcome and honourable to another generation. That’s why the only true FREEDOM, is that which is of God in Christ Jesus, LIVING IN OUR HEARTS beyond dispensation, generation and walls of any sorts. For God’s FREEDOM for us all  in Christ Jesus is irrespective, and it’s without sentiments, prejudice and dissimulation. It beyond walls of any respect.

“. . . 21 Little children [believers, dear ones], GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would TAKE God’s PLACE IN YOUR HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21/Amplified.

It’s for the above narrative and such like, that made Apostle Paul share scriptural TRUTH in Acts 17:15-34, in his response to the ATHENIANS superstitious and devotion to graven image altars, which was ascribed by them as to be to their UNKNOWN God. A community sold out to STATUE – Modernised IDOLS today. Thanks to God in His awesomeness, He used Apostle Paul eventually to bring the ATHENIANS to see the essence of knowing the true God from their superstitious bondage. Apostle Paul made them to know and understand that it’s in God that they are MADE to LIVE, to MOVE and to HAVE THEIR TRUE BEING; and he therein told them about the true FREEDOM that they EARNESTLY craved and desired to have and not from the STATUE DEPICTED on their City Centre and Community places that serves as Landmark of greatness for admiration and devotion even for many today.

“. . . 16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was greatly angered when he saw that the CITY was full of IDOLS. 17 So he had discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place day after day with any who happened to be there . . . 22 So Paul, standing in the centre of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. 23 Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an ALTAR with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who CREATED the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, because it is He who gives to all [people] life and breath and all things. 26 And He MADE from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. 27 This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we LIVE and MOVE and EXIST [that is, in Him we actually HAVE OUR BEING], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ . . .” Acts 17:15-34/Amplified.

Be it known today as a way of reminder, that our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus, has made possible the true FREEDOM to all and He has offered it to all without – PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, DOGMAS, HYPOCRISY and such like. I therefore as God’s servant hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in same Apostolic similitude, to resolve to CONNECT to Christ Jesus today in order to enjoy the FREEDOM that is genuine without controversy and diabolical sentiments (1 Timothy 3:16) instead of the dumb IDOLS DEPICTS in STATUE and SYMBOLS for a meaningless causes other than to offend another. Hence I say you:

JESUS CHRIST IS – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM – THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM AND LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE TO STAND TALL IN HIS POWER AND MIGHT IN GOD. AMEN.

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“And [if you] are CONFIDENT that you are a [qualified] GUIDE to the blind [those untaught in theology], a LIGHT to those who are in darkness, 20 and [that you are] a CORRECTOR of the foolish, a TEACHER of the [spiritually] childish, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth— 21 well then, you who TEACH others, do you not teach yourself? You who PREACH against stealing, do you steal [in ways that are discrete, but just as sinful]? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest IDOLS, do you rob [pagan] temples [of valuable idols and offerings]?” Romans 2:19-22 Amplified.

“We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God DOES NOT habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 19 We know [for a fact] that we ARE of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. 20 And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we ARE in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]” 1 John 5:18-21 Amplified.

“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. 18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? 19 What say I then? THAT THE IDOL IS ANY THING, OR THAT WHICH IS OFFERED IN SACRIFICE TO IDOLS IS ANY THING? 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they SACRIFICE TO DEVILS, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have FELLOWSHIP WITH DEVILS. 21 Ye cannot DRINK the cup of the Lord, and the cup of DEVILS: ye cannot be PARTAKERS of the Lord’s table, and of the TABLE OF DEVILS. 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians 10:16-22.

GREAT – IF YOU DON’T DO IDOLS AND IDOLATRY: HOW ABOUT SACRILEGE – THE SACRILEGIOUS ACTS!

“Thou therefore which TEACHEST another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that PREACHEST a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that  ABHORREST IDOLS, dost thou COMMIT SACRILEGE?” Romans 2:21-22.

It’s very easy for any to credit themselves and say – I DON’T DO IDOLS or IDOLATRY. Meaning I have no image, picture and object and even shrine that I go, consult and or make sacrifices toward. More so, I don’t REVERED and BELIEVED in any man made gods. However, I hope you do not practice SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

What is SACRILEGE? It’s the SHARING and PLEASURING in the spirits, gains, offerings, tokens, pleasures  and such like as a results of IDOLS or and IDOLATOR’S in ones life. Aiding and abetting for the gains in any form either indirectly or directly on matters of idol and Idolatory in Scriptural context, makes one a culprits – that’s sacrilege or sacrilegious acts.

“For [God does not OVERLOOK sin and] the WRATH of God is REVEALED from heaven against ALL ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness SUPPRESS and STIFLE the truth, 19 because that which is KNOWN about God is EVIDENT within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them . . . 32 Although they KNOW God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things DESERVE death, yet they not only do them, but they even PLEASURE, [ENTHUSIASTICALLY] APPROVE and TOLERATE others who practice them” Romans 1:18-32/AMP.

I can honestly say I know both ends because I was born into IDOL and IDOLATRY sphere before coming to REPENTANCE toward God and FAITH in Christ Jesus, thereby turning my life away from IDOLS and IDOLATRY to serve  God acceptably and worship Him worthily by the Holy Spirit through my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

“And how I kept back nothing that was PROFITABLE unto you, but have SHEWED you, and have TAUGHT you publicly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE toward God, and FAITH toward our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21.

When you as a BELIEVER in Christ Jesus, begins to share in the spirits, gains, offerings, pleasures and such like acts indirectly if not directly involved, of the practices of IDOLS or IDOLATRY, the Scripture of Romans 1:18, 32 indicates you are a PARTNER and PARTAKER of such SACRILEGIOUS ACTS – knowingly or unknowingly. Hence ignorance is not an excuse  before God.

“And the times of this IGNORANCE God WINKED at; but now COMMANDETH all men every where to REPENT: 31 because he hath APPOINTED a day, in the which he will JUDGE the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31.

Some Examples of such SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS are these:

  • Asking someone to consult a MEDIUM, SEER, WITCH, ORACLES, FAMILIAR spirits and SUCH LIKES on your behalf to get an ANSWER to your life quest –  that’s seeking the GAINS and PLEASURES from such IDOLS – demons or the humans who acts as COHORTS and PRINCIPALITIES in use. When you do such, you are invariably a PARTAKER and PARTNER of the gains and pleasures. Sometimes they may give you items to hold, use and do certain things on you as INCISIONS on the body in some instances, in order to satisfy the spirits of such consultations – an entrance to hidden and unseen demonic craft and bondage.
  • In some typical Culturalised Communities but not limited, lots of Festivals such as – FARMING (Yam, Cassava, Plantain etc), FISHING (Various Assorted water creatures) and such like are held (celebrated and commemorated) to enact the year PRODUCE and to appease to their community gods and goddesses for further years to come. The Community Chief Priest are requested to consults the gods and goddess of the land (community) to satisfy the needed doings or sacrifice before the start off to the consumption of the particular crop harvest. When you share in such acts, you invoke the fallen spirits (demons) of darkness – principalities and powers – assigned to that community by satan to act along in your life as he does in the community though you are not literally involved behind the scene of appease and invoking to the IDOLS – gods of the land they call it. And geographical locations or background is no exception to the operations of these spiritual demonic beings.
  • Sometimes, couples are desperate to have a child or children, and some singles who feel age is not on their side in getting married, will send relatives, friends and who they deem trustworthy to go on their behalf to make consultations to either an IDOLS priest or directly to the IDOLS, to get every necessary help. Such helpful consultations to obtain/make gains, is called SACRILEGE – a SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.
  • Sometimes, People who feels that their Business (Entrepreneurship), Career, position of Authority and Power (Political, Ministry, Civil Services etc) and such likes is/are not making a headway as expected, will do anything to forge ahead. Many results to SACRILEGE to settle such scores to avoid been known.
  • Sometimes, some in haste to get RICH, WEALTH, PASS EXAMINATIONS, WIN IN TOURNAMENTS and such like will do any DEMAND placed before them so long their objectives are acquired. Many will result to consultations via the SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.
  • When you as a BELIEVER in Christ becomes agents or vehicle of use to help, assist and bait people who are in difficulties by taking advantage of their vulnerability to do consultations to these IDOLS – demonic acts of darkness, the Scripture indicate that you are PLEASURING and as such practicing SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

All these acts of SACRILEGE mentioned and such likes that are not mentioned, has consequences and side effects to all who are involved, directly or indirectly in a way. And divine judgements could be imminent or later when least expected.

Therefore, RUN and KEEP yourself away from IDOLS, IDOLATRY and SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS for your own good and the good of those you care about for today and tomorrow. IF INDEED YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE INDEED A CHILD OF GOD’S KINGDOM IN CHRIST JESUS – KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM SACRILEGE – AND SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

That a thing offered to idols is anything [special or changed simply because it is offered], or that an idol is anything? 20 On the contrary, the things which the Gentiles (pagans) sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons [in effect], and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons [by eating at feasts in pagan temples]. 21 You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them]” 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

“‘Do not turn to MEDIUMS [who pretend to consult the dead] or to SPIRITISTS [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” Leviticus 19:31.

“‘As for the person who turns to MEDIUMS [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them]. . . 27 ‘A man or woman who is a medium [who pretends to consult the dead] or who is a spiritist shall most certainly be put to death, and be stoned with stones; their blood is on them.’” Leviticus 20:6, 27.

“. . . 7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Find for me a woman who is a MEDIUM [between the living and the dead], so that I may go to her and ask her advice.” His servants said to him, “There is a woman who is a medium at En-dor . . . ” 1 Samuel 28.

“Listen carefully, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders [that will occur] in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. 19 When the people [instead of trusting God] say to you, “CONSULT THE MEDIUMS [who try to talk to the dead] and the SOOTHSAYERS who chirp and whisper and mutter,” SHOULD NOT A PEOPLE CONSULT THEIR GOD? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 [Direct those people] to the law and to the testimony! IF THEIR TEACHINGS ARE NOT IN ACCORD WITH THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DAWN” Isaiah 8:18-20.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth DIVINATION, or an OBSERVER OF TIMES, or an ENCHANTER, or a WITCH, 11 or a CHARMER, or a CONSULTER with FAMILIAR SPIRITS, or a WIZARD, or a NECROMANCER. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. 14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do” Deuteronomy 18:10-14.

KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM ICONS AS IN IDOLS: FOR THERE IS A SIMILARITY ATTACHED ON MATTER OF IDOLS AND ICONS!

“. . . 15 And the EVIL spirit answered and said, Jesus I KNOW, and Paul I KNOW; but who ARE ye? . . .” Acts 19:13-20.

What then is it about IDOLS And ICONS? – what then is it about the similarity and relationship and attachments in matters of IDOLS And ICONS per se, especially in this generation of so much of hypes and applause to things and persons more than toward obtaining God’s approval in our act of doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus stead.

I believe in life, there’s that act of the good, goodness, graciousness and gracefulness to look up to people or someone you admire to learn of them and to be challenged and charged up to become what you wants to be for yourself in LIFE and GRACE in Christ Jesus; but to REVERED and BELIEVED in them firstly as your DEFINITION knowingly and unknowingly, and to place them to be ABOVE and EQUAL to God is troubling and troublesome; and secondly, to loose the essence of your OWN WELL-BEING and WORTH in God by Christ Jesus for someone else’s validation as a measure for yourself in contrary and in contravening to BECOME whom God made YOU to BE, is not only fallacy, stupidity, ignorance, foolishness and such like, but also signifies bondage, demonic and satanic.

“And Herod was highly DISPLEASED with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with ONE ACCORD to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. 21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22 and the PEOPLE gave a SHOUT, SAYING, it is the VOICE of A GOD, and NOT OF A MAN. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord SMOTE him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost” Acts 12:20-23.

It’s imperative that as a Believer of God in Christ Jesus, to know and note that while being close to any or looking up to any, let it be that you do it through the mirror of the WORD in Christ Jesus stead and by the promptings and lead of the indwelling Holy Spirit within you; this is important, so that you don’t derail when such a one does derail from the truth of God’s word and go off the glamour light ray that you’ve become accustomed to with such a person or group – knowingly and unknowingly. For in life, and under the Sun, nothing is permanent – things once the lamplight of today fades away with time and most cases never to be known and remembered anymore – but God and His WORD in Christ Jesus is eternal and will always be there for all eternity – PAUSE and THINK about it, SELAH. [James 1:22-25; 1 Peter 1:22-25; Hebrews 12:1-2; Hebrews 1:1-4; Galatians 4:8-16].

And why so, or such a fuss anyway about this writ? – it’s purely for the reason that sometimes you hear someone say – that’s my IDOL and or that’s my ICON; and all these, is in order to make them feel to belong with a sense of VALUE and WORTH in their reverence to such; and it’s so disheartening that in some or most occasions, nothing could be said by anyone else’s in their presence of such a person as their acclaimed IDOL or ICON, without them putting up a defence and sometimes a fight, especially these days of social media trolls; and as the saying goes – tell me your friend and I will tell you who you are, which indicates it will tell you how much you’re WORTH and VALUED, and can be CHARACTERISED. And overtime it has become a norm in our worlds especially now in the Christian FAITH where many have replaced God with human’s and things; and some sects in their sectarianism can hardly READ their BIBLE regularly anymore for self-knowledge and UNDERSTANDING in order to save them from the deceptions that are in our worlds and in some misplaced called Churches with doctrinal falsehoods just as Bereän Christian’s did to save their days in honour and dignity as in Acts 17:10-12.

“The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to BEREA; and when they arrived, they entered the Jewish synagogue. 11 Now these people were more NOBLE and OPEN-MINDED than those in Thessalonica, so they RECEIVED the message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, EXAMINING THE SCRIPTURES DAILY to see if these things were so. 12 As a result many of them became believers, together with a number of prominent Greek women and men” Acts 17:10-12/AMP.

And for these deceptions in having adored IDOLS and ICONS, many have resolved that their adored person is the one they REVERE and BELIEVE to give the final statement of facts to what they SAY or DO unreservedly, and it’s become their norm and more important positions for them. And overtime this have influenced our worlds and Churches in many ways. Its effect has led many to all forms of BELIEF and ATTACHMENTS, leading to bondage with little or no self WORTH anymore except what the adored IDOL and ICON signifies directly or indirectly to them.

“I marvel that ye are so soon REMOVED from him that CALLED you into the grace of Christ unto ANOTHER gospel: 7 which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” Galatians 1:6-9.

Herein is something likely for you to know and recall on the likeness, similarity and representation of an ICON and an IDOL:

  • An IDOL from my previous post, is usually a STATURE but could be a PICTURE or IMAGE or PERSON and is REVERED and BELIEVED to have an actual link to the ENTITY it DEPICTS – in power or and essence.
  • An ICON is similarly looked up to and at, in representation as an IDOL; as a result in this wise – When you look at an ICON while COMMUNICATING (say PRAYING) in picture or mind, it seems you are praying to God but not, instead to a god, and if you PRAY looking at the IDOL directly (in STATURE), you are PRAYING to the IDOL. In either way you attribute an essence of praying to God but it’s to gods – which scripturally is demonic and to spirits – spiritism.

Have FAITH in God and not in and on any thing or another person and any such like, in order to live free and freely in doing life and living godly in Christ Jesus stead. Amen. [Mark 11:20; Galatians 5:1/AMP].

“For [God DOES NOT OVERLOOK SIN and] the WRATH of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth . . . 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things deserve death, yet they not only do them, but they even [enthusiastically] APPROVE and TOLERATE others who PRACTICE them” Romans 1:18, 32/AMP.

JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM: FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM!

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1 (Amplified).

You don’t have to go or look too far away from you to note through the mirror of life that the entire world are interconnected, and are built up and built on, of many communities of like minded – and each are of various unions, associations; and their coming together are for a common cause and purpose, and they are in the course to create, promote and enhance a kind of FEEEDOM to meet a particular interest.

The irony of life is that each of all these various acts of coming together either at International, national, community, work place, streets and the family enforced levels, have NOT given any, the genuine FREEDOM as so much desired and expected to experience in their fulness. And, knowingly and unknowingly, and in most of the various cases, what they do considered at a time as a FREEDOM, has become the foundation for another unidentified and unaccounted bondage; and unfortunately, the entanglement in it, it’s enormous in various ways. And the changes with time to suit or solve one problem has created another in it in many other ways.

It’s therefore imperative to know that the allegiance to all forms of man-made STATUE and ARCHITECTURE IMAGE that has been believed, revered, adored and adopted in some places as such, all in the name of serving the symbol of landmarks, are in fact classed in SCRIPTURAL terms, as an IDOL. Especially when you examine the reason for such high places STATUE, SYMBOLIC IMAGES in our high streets and City Centres and other designated high places. Most times they depicts in essence of ENSLAVING, BONDAGES, INSULT, SEGREGATION and such like – because what they once signify in a particular dispensation it’s no longer welcome and honourable to another generation. That’s why the only true FREEDOM, is that which is of God in Christ Jesus, LIVING IN OUR HEARTS beyond dispensation, generation and walls of any sorts.

“. . . 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s PLACE IN YOUR HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21 Amplified.

It’s for the above narrative and such like, that made Apostle Paul share scriptural TRUTH in Acts 17:15-34, in his response to the ATHENIANS superstitious and devotion to graven image altars, which was ascribed by them as to be to their UNKNOWN God. A community sold out to STATUE – Modernised IDOLS today. Thanks to God in His awesomeness, He used Apostle Paul eventually to bring the ATHENIANS to see the essence of knowing the true God from their superstitious bondage. Apostle Paul made them to know and understand that it’s in God that they are MADE to LIVE, to MOVE and to HAVE THEIR TRUE BEING; and he therein told them about the true FREEDOM that they EARNESTLY craved and desired to have and not from the STATUE DEPICTED on their City Centre and Community places that serves as Landmark of greatness for admiration and devotion even for many today.

“. . . 16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was greatly angered when he saw that the CITY was full of IDOLS. 17 So he had discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place day after day with any who happened to be there . . . 22 So Paul, standing in the center of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. 23 Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an ALTAR with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who CREATED the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, because it is He who gives to all [people] life and breath and all things. 26 And He MADE from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. 27 This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we LIVE and MOVE and EXIST [that is, in Him we actually HAVE OUR BEING], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ . . .” Acts 17:15-34/Amplified.

Be it known today as a way of reminder, that our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus, has made possible the true FREEDOM to all and He has offered it to all without – PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, DOGMAS, HYPOCRISY and such like. I therefore as God’s servant hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in same Apostolic similitude, to resolve to CONNECT to Christ Jesus today in order to enjoy the FREEDOM that is genuine without controversy and diabolical sentiments (1 Timithy 3:16) instead of the dumb IDOLS DEPICTS in STATUE and SYMBOLS for a meaningless causes other than to offend another. Hence I say you:

JESUS CHRIST IS – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM – THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM AND LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE TO STAND TALL IN HIS POWER AND MIGHT IN GOD. AMEN.

You who PREACH against stealing, do you steal [in ways that are discrete, but just as sinful]? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who detest IDOLS, do you rob [pagan] temples [of valuable idols and offerings]?” Romans 2:19-22 Amplified.

GREAT – IF YOU DON’T DO IDOLS AND IDOLATRY: HOW ABOUT SACRILEGE – THE SACRILEGIOUS ACTS!

“Thou therefore which TEACHEST another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that PREACHEST a man should not steal, dost thou steal? 22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that  ABHORREST IDOLS, dost thou COMMIT SACRILEGE?” Romans 2:21-22.

It’s very easy for any to credit themselves and say – I DON’T DO IDOLS or IDOLATRY. Meaning I have no image, picture and object and even shrine that I go, consult and or make sacrifices toward. More so, I don’t REVERED and BELIEVED in any man made gods. However, I hope you do not practice SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

What is SACRILEGE? It’s the SHARING and PLEASURING in the spirits, gains, offerings, tokens, pleasures  and such like as a results of IDOLS or and IDOLATOR’S in ones life. Aiding and abetting for the gains in any form either indirectly or directly on matters of idol and Idolatory in Scriptural context, makes one a culprits – that’s sacrilege or sacrilegious acts.

“For [God does not OVERLOOK sin and] the WRATH of God is REVEALED from heaven against ALL ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness SUPPRESS and STIFLE the truth, 19 because that which is KNOWN about God is EVIDENT within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them . . . 32 Although they KNOW God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things DESERVE death, yet they not only do them, but they even PLEASURE, [ENTHUSIASTICALLY] APPROVE and TOLERATE others who practice them” Romans 1:18-32/AMP.

I can honestly say I know both ends because I was born into IDOL and IDOLATRY sphere before coming to REPENTANCE toward God and FAITH in Christ Jesus, thereby turning my life away from IDOLS and IDOLATRY to serve  God acceptably and worship Him worthily by the Holy Spirit through my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

“And how I kept back nothing that was PROFITABLE unto you, but have SHEWED you, and have TAUGHT you publickly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE toward God, and FAITH toward our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21.

When you as a BELIEVER in Christ Jesus, begins to share in the spirits, gains, offerings, pleasures and such like acts indirectly if not directly involved, of the practices of IDOLS or IDOLATRY, the Scripture of Romans 1:18, 32 indicates you are a PARTNER and PARTAKER of such SACRILEGIOUS ACTS – knowingly or unknowingly. Hence ignorance is not an excuse  before God.

“And the times of this IGNORANCE God WINKED at; but now COMMANDETH all men every where to REPENT: 31 because he hath APPOINTED a day, in the which he will JUDGE the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31.

Some Examples of such SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS are these:

*** Asking someone to consult a MEDIUM, SEER, WITCH, ORACLES, FAMILIAR spirits and SUCH LIKES on your behalf to get an ANSWER to your life quest –  that’s seeking the GAINS and PLEASURES from such IDOLS – demons or the humans who acts as COHORTS and PRINCIPALITIES in use. When you do such, you are invariably a PARTAKER and PARTNER of the gains and pleasures. Sometimes they may give you items to hold, use and do certain things on you as INCISIONS on the body in some instances, in order to satisfy the spirits of such consultations – an entrance to hidden and unseen demonic craft and bondage.

*** In some typical Culturalised Communities but not limited, lots of Festivals such as – FARMING (Yam, Cassava, Plantain etc), FISHING (Various Assorted water creatures) and such like are held (celebrated and commemorated) to enact the year PRODUCE and to appease to their community gods and goddesses for further years to come. The Community Chief Priest are requested to consults the gods and goddess of the land (community) to satisfy the needed doings or sacrifice before the start off to the consumption of the particular crop harvest. When you share in such acts, you invoke the fallen spirits (demons) of darkness – principalities and powers – assigned to that community by satan to act along in your life as he does in the community though you are not literally involved behind the scene of appease and invoking to the IDOLS – gods of the land they call it. And geographical locations or background is no exception to the operations of these spiritual demonic beings.

*** Sometimes, couples are desperate to have a child or children, and some singles who feel age is not on their side in getting married, will send relatives, friends and who they deem trustworthy to go on their behalf to make consultations to either an IDOLS priest or directly to the IDOLS, to get every necessary help. Such helpful consultations to obtain/make gains, is called SACRILEGE – a SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** Sometimes, People who feels that their Business (Entrepreneurship), Career, position of Authority and Power (Political, Ministry, Civil Services etc) and such likes is/are not making a headway as expected, will do anything to forge ahead. Many results to SACRILEGE to settle such scores to avoid been known.

*** Sometimes, some in haste to get RICH, WEALTH, PASS EXAMINATIONS, WIN IN TOURNAMENTS and such like will do any DEMAND placed before them so long their objectives are acquired. Many will result to consultations via the SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** When you as a BELIEVER in Christ becomes agents or vehicle of use to help, assist and bait people who are in difficulties by taking advantage of their vulnerability to do consultations to these IDOLS – demonic acts of darkness, the Scripture indicate that you are PLEASURING and as such practicing SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

All these acts of SACRILEGE mentioned and such likes that are not mentioned, has consequences and side effects to all who are involved, directly or indirectly in a way. And divine judgements could be imminent or later when least expected.

Therefore, RUN and KEEP yourself away from IDOLS, IDOLATRY and SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS for your own good and the good of those you care about for today and tomorrow. IF INDEED YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE INDEED A CHILD OF GOD’S KINGDOM IN CHRIST JESUS – KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM SACRILEGE – AND SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

“‘Do not turn to MEDIUMS [who pretend to consult the dead] or to SPIRITISTS [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” Leviticus 19:31.

“As for the person who turns to MEDIUMS [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them]. . . 27 ‘A man or woman who is a medium [who pretends to consult the dead] or who is a spiritist shall most certainly be put to death, and be stoned with stones; their blood is on them.” Leviticus 20:6, 27.

Aiding and abetting for the gains in any form either indirectly or directly on matters of idol and Idolatory in Scriptural context, makes one a culprits – that’s sacrilege or sacrilegious acts.

“For [God does not OVERLOOK sin and] the WRATH of God is REVEALED from heaven against ALL ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness SUPPRESS and STIFLE the truth, 19 because that which is KNOWN about God is EVIDENT within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them . . . 32 Although they KNOW God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things DESERVE death, yet they not only do them, but they even PLEASURE, [ENTHUSIASTICALLY] APPROVE and TOLERATE others who practice them” Romans 1:18-32/AMP.

I can honestly say I know both ends because I was born into IDOL and IDOLATRY sphere before coming to REPENTANCE toward God and FAITH in Christ Jesus, thereby turning my life away from IDOLS and IDOLATRY to serve  God acceptably and worship Him worthily by the Holy Spirit through my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

“And how I kept back nothing that was PROFITABLE unto you, but have SHEWED you, and have TAUGHT you publickly, and from house to house, 21 TESTIFYING both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE toward God, and FAITH toward our Lord Jesus Christ” Acts 20:20-21.

When you as a BELIEVER in Christ Jesus, begins to share in the spirits, gains, offerings, pleasures and such like acts indirectly if not directly involved, of the practices of IDOLS or IDOLATRY, the Scripture of Romans 1:18, 32 indicates you are a PARTNER and PARTAKER of such SACRILEGIOUS ACTS – knowingly or unknowingly. Hence ignorance is not an excuse  before God.

“And the times of this IGNORANCE God WINKED at; but now COMMANDETH all men every where to REPENT: 31 because he hath APPOINTED a day, in the which he will JUDGE the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” Acts 17:30-31.

Some Examples of such SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS are these:

*** Asking someone to consult a MEDIUM, SEER, WITCH, ORACLES, FAMILIAR spirits and SUCH LIKES on your behalf to get an ANSWER to your life quest –  that’s seeking the GAINS and PLEASURES from such IDOLS – demons or the humans who acts as COHORTS and PRINCIPALITIES in use. When you do such, you are invariably a PARTAKER and PARTNER of the gains and pleasures. Sometimes they may give you items to hold, use and do certain things on you as INCISIONS on the body in some instances, in order to satisfy the spirits of such consultations – an entrance to hidden and unseen demonic craft and bondage.

*** In some typical Culturalised Communities but not limited, lots of Festivals such as – FARMING (Yam, Cassava, Plantain etc), FISHING (Various Assorted water creatures) and such like are held (celebrated and commemorated) to enact the year PRODUCE and to appease to their community gods and goddesses for further years to come. The Community Chief Priest are requested to consults the gods and goddess of the land (community) to satisfy the needed doings or sacrifice before the start off to the consumption of the particular crop harvest. When you share in such acts, you invoke the fallen spirits (demons) of darkness – principalities and powers – assigned to that community by satan to act along in your life as he does in the community though you are not literally involved behind the scene of appease and invoking to the IDOLS – gods of the land they call it. And geographical locations or background is no exception to the operations of these spiritual demonic beings.

*** Sometimes, couples are desperate to have a child or children, and some singles who feel age is not on their side in getting married, will send relatives, friends and who they deem trustworthy to go on their behalf to make consultations to either an IDOLS priest or directly to the IDOLS, to get every necessary help. Such helpful consultations to obtain/make gains, is called SACRILEGE – a SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** Sometimes, People who feels that their Business (Entrepreneurship), Career, position of Authority and Power (Political, Ministry, Civil Services etc) and such likes is/are not making a headway as expected, will do anything to forge ahead. Many results to SACRILEGE to settle such scores to avoid been known.

*** Sometimes, some in haste to get RICH, WEALTH, PASS EXAMINATIONS, WIN IN TOURNAMENTS and such like will do any DEMAND placed before them so long their objectives are acquired. Many will result to consultations via the SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

*** When you as a BELIEVER in Christ becomes agents or vehicle of use to help, assist and bait people who are in difficulties by taking advantage of their vulnerability to do consultations to these IDOLS – demonic acts of darkness, the Scripture indicate that you are PLEASURING and as such practicing SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

All these acts of SACRILEGE mentioned and such likes that are not mentioned, has consequences and side effects to all who are involved, directly or indirectly in a way. And divine judgements could be imminent or later when least expected.

Therefore, RUN and KEEP yourself away from IDOLS, IDOLATRY and SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS for your own good and the good of those you care about for today and tomorrow. IF INDEED YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE INDEED A CHILD OF GOD’S KINGDOM IN CHRIST JESUS – KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM SACRILEGE – AND SACRILEGIOUS ACTS.

JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM: FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM!

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1 (Amplified).

You don’t have to go or look too far away from you to note through the mirror of life that the entire world are interconnected, and are built up and built on, of many communities of like minded – and each are of various unions, associations; and their coming together are for a common cause and purpose, and they are in the course to create, promote and enhance a kind of FEEEDOM to meet a particular interest.

The irony of life is that each of all these various acts of coming together either at International, national, community, work place, streets and the family enforced levels, have NOT given any, the genuine FREEDOM as so much desired and expected to experience in their fulness. And, knowingly and unknowingly, and in most of the various cases, what they do considered at a time as a FREEDOM, has become the foundation for another unidentified and unaccounted bondage; and unfortunately, the entanglement in it, it’s enormous in various ways. And the changes with time to suit or solve one problem has created another in it in many other ways.

It’s therefore imperative to know that the allegiance to all forms of man-made STATUE and ARCHITECTURE IMAGE that has been believed, revered, adored and adopted in some places as such, all in the name of serving the symbol of landmarks, are in fact classed in SCRIPTURAL terms, as an IDOL. Especially when you examine the reason for such high places STATUE, SYMBOLIC IMAGES in our high streets and City Centres and other designated high places. Most times they depicts in essence of ENSLAVING, BONDAGES, INSULT, SEGREGATION and such like – because what they once signify in a particular dispensation it’s no longer welcome and honourable to another generation. That’s why the only true FREEDOM, is that which is of God in Christ Jesus, LIVING IN OUR HEARTS beyond dispensation, generation and walls of any sorts.

“. . . 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s PLACE IN YOUR HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21 Amplified.

It’s for the above narrative and such like, that made Apostle Paul share scriptural TRUTH in Acts 17:15-34, in his response to the ATHENIANS superstitious and devotion to graven image altars, which was ascribed by them as to be to their UNKNOWN God. A community sold out to STATUE – Modernised IDOLS today. Thanks to God in His awesomeness, He used Apostle Paul eventually to bring the ATHENIANS to see the essence of knowing the true God from their. superstitious bondage. Making them to know and understand that it’s in God that they are MADE to LIVE, MOVE and HAVE THEIR TRUE BEING, thereby offering them the true FREEDOM that they EARNESTLY craved and desired to have and not from the STATUE DEPICTED on their City Centre and community places as Landmark of greatness for admiration and devotion.

“. . . 16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was greatly angered when he saw that the CITY was full of IDOLS. 17 So he had discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place day after day with any who happened to be there . . . 22 So Paul, standing in the center of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. 23 Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an ALTAR with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you . . .” Acts 17:15-34 Amplified.

Be it known today as a way of reminder, that our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus, has made possible the true FREEDOM to all and He has offered it to all without – PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, DOGMAS, HYPOCRISY and such like. I therefore as God’s servant hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in same Apostolic similitude, to resolve to CONNECT to Christ Jesus today in order to enjoy the FREEDOM that is genuine without controversy and diabolical sentiments (1 Timithy 3:16) instead of the dumb IDOLS DEPICTS in STATUE and SYMBOLS for a meaningless causes other than to offend another. Hence I say you:

JESUS CHRIST IS – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM – THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM AND LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE TO STAND TALL IN HIS POWER AND MIGHT IN GOD. AMEN.

GREAT – IF YOU DON’T DO IDOLS AND IDOLATRY: HOW ABOUT SACRILEGE – SACRILEGIOUS ACTS!

What is SACRILEGE? It’s the sharing and pleasuring in the spirits, gains, offerings, tokens, pleasures  and such like as a results of IDOLS or and IDOLATOR’S in ones life.

This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and ANYTHING that would take God’s PLACE in your HEART]” 1 John 5:18-21 (Amplified).

“What do I mean then? That a thing offered to idols is anything [special or changed simply because it is offered], or that an idol is anything? 20 On the contrary, the things which the Gentiles (pagans) sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons [in effect], and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons [by eating at feasts in pagan temples]. 21 You cannot drink [both] the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. You cannot share in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons [thereby becoming partners with them]” 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

“‘Do not turn to MEDIUMS [who pretend to consult the dead] or to SPIRITISTS [who have spirits of divination]; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God” Leviticus 19:31.

“‘As for the person who turns to MEDIUMS [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them]. . . 27 ‘A man or woman who is a medium [who pretends to consult the dead] or who is a spiritist shall most certainly be put to death, and be stoned with stones; their blood is on them.’” Leviticus 20:6, 27.

“. . . 7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Find for me a woman who is a MEDIUM [between the living and the dead], so that I may go to her and ask her advice.” His servants said to him, “There is a woman who is a medium at En-dor . . .” 1 Samuel 28.

“Listen carefully, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders [that will occur] in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. 19 When the people [instead of trusting God] say to you, “CONSULT THE MEDIUMS [who try to talk to the dead] and the SOOTHSAYERS who chirp and whisper and mutter,” SHOULD NOT A PEOPLE CONSULT THEIR GOD? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 [Direct those people] to the law and to the testimony! IF THEIR TEACHINGS ARE NOT IN ACCORD WITH THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DAWN” Isaiah 8:18-20.

Keep Yourself From IDOLS: What Is It About IDOLS And ICONS – The Relationship Between IDOLS And ICONS!

“. . . 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who ARE ye? . . .” Acts 19:13-20.

I believe in life, there’s the goodness, graciousness and gracefulness to look up to people or someone you admire to learn of them and to be challenged and charged up to become what you wants to be for yourself in LIFE and GRACE in Christ Jesus. But to REVERED and BELIEVED in them firstly to be ABOVE and EQUAL to God, and secondly to loose the essence of your OWN WELL BEING and WORTH, in order to BECOME whom God made YOU to BE, is not only fallacy, stupidity, ignorance and foolishness but bondage, demonic and satanic. So while being close to any or looking up to any, let it be through the mirror of the WORD in Christ Jesus stead, and by the promptings of the indwelling Holy Spirit, so that you don’t derail when such a one does and go off the glamour light ray that you’ve become accustomed to with such a person or group – knowingly and unknowingly. James 1:22-25; 1 Peter 1:22-25; Hebrews 12:1-2; Hebrews 1:1-4; Galatians 4:8-16.

Why so, or such a fuss anyway? – it’s purely for the reason that sometimes you hear someone say – that’s my IDOL and or that’s my ICON; and all these, is in order to make them feel to belong with a sense of VALUE, as the saying goes – tell me your friend and they will tell you how much you WORTH and can be CHARACTERISED. And overtime it has become a norm in our worlds especially now in the Christian FAITH where many have replace God with human’s and things; and some sects hardly READ their BIBLE regularly anymore for self KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING in order to save them from the deceptions in our worlds and Churches today as Bereän Christian’s did to save their days in honour and dignity – Acts 17:10-12.

And for these deceptions in IDOLS and ICONS, many have given REVERED and BELIEVED as to what they SAY or DO as the norms or more important to them. And this have influenced our worlds and Churches in many ways. It’s effect has led many to all forms of BELIEVE and bondages with little or no self-WORTH anymore except what the adored IDOL and ICON signifies directly or indirectly.

Herein is a likely knowhow to their likeness and representations:

** An IDOL is usually from my previous post a STATURE but could be a PICTURE or IMAGE or PERSON and is REVERED and BELIEVED to have an actual link to the ENTITY it DEPICTS – in power or and essence.

** An ICON is similarly looked up to and at, in representation as an IDOL; as a result in this wise – When you look at an ICON while COMMUNICATING (say PRAYING) in picture or mind, it seems you are praying to God but no to a god, but if you PRAY looking at the IDOL directly (in STATURE), you are PRAYING to the IDOL. In either ways you attributes an essence of praying to God but it’s to gods – which scripturally is demonic and spirits (spiritism).

SELAH – PAUSE AND THINK.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth . . . 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree and His judgment, that those who do such things deserve death, yet they not only do them, but they even [enthusiastically] APPROVE and TOLERATE others who PRACTICE them” Romans 1:18, 32 (Amplified).

“We know [for a fact] that WE ARE OF GOD, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. 20 And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children (believers, dear ones), GUARD YOURSELVES FROM IDOLS—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]” 1 John 5:19-21 (Amplified).

“Howbeit then, when ye KNEW NOT God, ye did SERVICE unto them which by NATURE are NO GODS. 9 But now, after that ye have KNOWN God, or rather ARE KNOWN of God, HOW TURN YE AGAIN to the weak and BEGGARLY ELEMENTS, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye OBSERVE DAYS, and MONTHS, and TIMES, and YEARS. 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. 12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all. 13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. 14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but RECEIVED ME AS AN ANGEL of God, even as Christ Jesus. 15 Where is then the BLESSEDNESS ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me. 16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you THE TRUTH?” Galatians 4:8-16.

JESUS CHRIST – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM: FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM! 

You don’t have to go or look too far away from you to note through the mirror of life that the entire world is interconnected, and are built up and built on, by many communities of like-minded – and each are of various unions, associations; and they’re coming together are for a common cause and purpose, and they are in the course to create, promote and enhance a kind of FREEDOM to meet a particular interest.

The irony of life is that each of all these various acts of coming together either at International, national, community, workplace, streets and the family enforced levels, have NOT given any, the genuine FREEDOM as so much desired and expected to experience in their fullness. And, knowingly and unknowingly, and in most of the various cases, what they do consider at a time as FREEDOM, has become the foundation for another unidentified and unaccounted bondage; and unfortunately, the entanglement in it, is enormous in various ways. And the change with time to suit or solve one problem has created another in it in many ways.

It’s therefore imperative to know that the allegiance to all forms of man-made STATUE and ARCHITECTURE IMAGE that has been adored and adopted in some places as such, all in the name of serving the symbol of landmarks, is in fact classed in Scriptural terms, as an IDOL.

Especially when you examine the reason for such high places STATUE, SYMBOLIC IMAGES in our high streets and City Centers and other designated high places. They depict an essence of BONDAGES – because what they once signify in a particular dispensation is no longer welcome and honorable to another generation. That’s why the only true FREEDOM, is that which is of God in Christ Jesus, living in our hearts beyond dispensation, generation, and walls of any sort.

It’s for the above narrative and such like, that made Apostle Paul share scriptural TRUTH in Acts 17:15-34, in his response to the ATHENIANS superstitious and devotion to graven image altars, which was ascribed by them as to be to their UNKNOWN God. A community sold out to STATUE – Modernized IDOLS today. Thanks to God in His awesomeness, He used Apostle Paul eventually to bring the ATHENIANS to see the essence of knowing the true God from their superstitious bondage. Making them to know and understand that it’s in God that they are MADE to LIVE, MOVE and HAVE THEIR TRUE BEING, thereby offering them the true FREEDOM that they EARNESTLY craved and desired to have and not from the STATUE DEPICTED on their City Centre and community places as Landmark of greatness for admiration and devotion.

Be it known today as a way of reminder, that our Savior and Lord Christ Jesus, has made possible the true FREEDOM to all and He has offered it to all without – PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, DOGMAS, HYPOCRISY and such like. I therefore as God’s servant hereby beckon, beg and urge YOU in same Apostolic similitude, to resolve to CONNECT to Christ Jesus today in order to enjoy the FREEDOM that is genuine without controversy and diabolical sentiments (1 Timothy 3:16) instead of the dumb IDOLS DEPICTS in STATUE and SYMBOLS for a meaningless cause other than to offend another. Hence I say you:

JESUS CHRIST IS – THE ULTIMATE AND HALLMARK OF FREEDOM – THE FREEDOM WITHOUT HYPOCRISY, DOGMAS, PREJUDICE, SENTIMENTS, BIGOT AND SUCH LIKE – GET CONNECTED TO HIM AND LIVE FREE IN HIS GRACE TO STAND TALL IN HIS POWER AND MIGHT IN GOD. AMEN.

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:

“It was for this FREEDOM that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep STANDING FIRM and do not be SUBJECT AGAIN to a YOKE of SLAVERY [which you once removed]” Galatians 5:1 (Amplified).

“. . . 16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was greatly angered when he saw that the CITY was full of IDOLS. 17 So he had discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and in the market place day after day with any who happened to be there . . . 22 So Paul, standing in the center of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I observe [with every turn I make throughout the city] that you are very religious and devout in all respects. 23 Now as I was going along and carefully looking at your objects of worship, I came to an ALTAR with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you already worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who created the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He [e]served by human hands, as though He needed anything, because it is He who gives to all [people] life and breath and all things. 26 And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands and territories. 27 This was so that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grasp for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ 29 So then, being God’s children, we should not think that the Divine Nature (deity) is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination or skill of man . . .” Acts 17:15-34 (Amplified).
