POWER & GRACE THROUGH AGAPE LOVE: God’s VITALITY For One To WIN & TRIUMPH In Life And Godly Living!

God’s love – AGAPE, it’s the vitality you need to do life and live through any phase of human endeavours by FAITH. The reason being – the Love of God is SHED abroad in our HEARTS – the human spirit – by the Holy Ghost, and it’s not of our head else it’s PERVERSION; and God has COMMENDED his Love toward us in Christ Jesus, which is makes it awesome and graciously gracious – Romans 5:5,8.

As you kick starts life demands today, being another opportunity to THRIVE and not SURVIVE, if you can start LOVING genuinely from the stagnation you’ve been in God’s AGAPE love, you can then experience the working POWER and GRACE of God that enhances your FAITH to win and triumph in life.

Herein are some SCRIPTURAL VITALITY OF LOVE for your perusal. Meditate and be blessed:

** Love gives power of initiative, is a giver, sacrificial: John 3:16-17.

** Love is the royal law for the redeemed who are a royal priesthood – kings & priests unto God: James 2:8; Revelation 5:9-10; 1 Peter 2:5, 9.

** Love works no ill to self or others and it’s the fulfilment of all God’s commands: ◦Romans 13:8, 10.

** There is no hypocrisy or dissemination in love. It sees people through in life and not through people: Romans 12:9 –11; Philippians 2:3-4.

** There’s NO fear in love: 1 John 4:17–18.

** Love is the greatest gift in ranking: 1 Corinthians 13:13.

** Love is the end of all commandments and above all things: 1 Peter 4:7–9.

** Love is the bond of perfection (maturity, completeness): Colossians 3:12–14.

** Love is the excellent way to enhance and manifest the Ministerial and Spiritual gifts; and Character (Fruit) gifts of the Holy Spirit: 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 31 – 13:1-13; Ephesians 4:7-16; Galatians 5:13, 22-25.

** Love restores the weak ones back to Faith not an accuser: Galatians 6:1; John 8:1-11; John 4.

** Love is the most excellent way to excel and to have overflowing life: 1 Corinthians 12:31.

** Love is considerate: John 15:13.

** Love is patient, kind, not boastful or arrogant, not selfish and keeps record of no wrong and more: 1 Corinthians 13.

** Love forgives and does not offend: Psalm 119:165.

** Love edifies – builds. 1 Corinthians 8:1–3.

** Love overlooks a multitude of sins: Proverbs 10:12, 1 Peter 4:8, John 3:16.

KNOW FULL WELL THAT LIVING IN LOVE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE – MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

“For in Jesus Christ NEITHER circumcision AVAILETH any thing, NOR uncircumcision; BUT FAITH WHICH WORKETH BY LOVE . . . 13 For, brethren, ye have been CALLED unto liberty; only USE NOT LIBERTY for an occasion to the flesh, but by LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER” Galatians 5:6, 13.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY GHOST which is given unto us . . . 8 But God COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, in that, while we were YET SINNERS, Christ DIED for us” Romans 5:5, 8.

What a mystery – LOVE: The Beautiful, Unquestioned, Unspeakable, Incomprehensible And Indescribable Gift – Given To Us To SHARE!

“There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, FOUR WHICH I KNOW NOT: 19 the way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and THE WAY OF A MAN WITH A WOMAN” Proverbs 30:18-19.

“Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for LOVE IS STRONG AS DEATH; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. 7 MANY WATERS CANNOT QUENCH LOVE, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned” Songs of Solomon 8:6-7.

More so, dating again and again and again . . . the one you genuinely and truly LOVE – is the most EXCELLENT WAY, the GRACIOUS and GRACEFUL act in DOING LIFE TOGETHER in Christ Jesus. LOVING GOD IN HIS LOVE

LOVING GOD IN HIS LOVE: GOD’S LOVE – The ‘LOVE’ of the Sixth Sense – AGAPE!

This is the LOVE of God which operates by FAITH in God’s Word – it’s called AGAPE LOVE.

This love of God is spiritual; and it’s inspired, revealed and empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit. It’s sustained and maintained by same Holy Spirit, hence it knows no stress, weariness or limited or conditioned by any ‘nesses’; as such there’s NO room for selfishness, wickedness, maliciousness and greediness.

HEREIN ARE FEW THINGS TO NOTE OF GOD’S LOVE:

** Its embodiment are HOPE and FAITH for functionality.

** It’s love built on principle, it’s intentional, unconditional and boundless.

** It transcends the natural or material worlds of the Five Senses Love.

** It’s the more excellent way to communicate to God and man in God’s terms.

** It enriches all things, transcends culture, religion, colour, tradition, generation and gender. Simply because it’s of God and God is love.

** It answers every quest of man and its not fathom by the five senses or limited by it.

SOME SCRIPTURAL FOOD FOR THOUGHTS:

“And we know that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER for good to them that LOVE God, to them who are the CALLED according to his purpose” Romans 8:28.

“God is FAITHFUL, by whom ye were CALLED unto the FELLOWSHIP of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Corinthians 1:9.

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, THE THINGS which God hath PREPARED for them that LOVE him” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

OCCUPY TILL I COME: Earthly Useful And Heavenly Minded – LIVING & WALKING IN LOVE!

Talking about LOVE! Here is a didactic sense of measure, such that we don’t just say we have love, but we do LIVE and WALK in LOVE, knowing that love is of God; and it’s the lubricant for our life in Christ Jesus and for all mankind. Upon this we can Occupy In Christ by ‘Being Earthly Useful while Heavenly Minded’.

Love is an attitude, a deliberate choice, an exercise of the will, a choice of life and is not just a feeling, it is an expression of the nature of God. It is spiritual, divinely inspired and imbedded in the very hearts of all God’s human creation, and more importantly in the very nature of the redeemed child of God. Hence it’s not a doctrine, creed and dogmas. It outlived generation because it’s timeless and of God’s. God is love – 1 John 4:7–10.

Love is a FRUIT and not a GIFT. FRUITS are GROWN while GIFTS are IMPARTED. Genuine Bible love – Agape – is born and is a product of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 5:5; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:9).

Let’s consider love in diversity for a clearer understanding of the kind of love being implied in this context.

DEFINING THE THREE KINDS OF LOVE:

*1. PHILEO: Grk (of the soul) – Love relationship in family – between parent and child. The Family kind of love. It also embodied love relationship towards friends and colleagues. It means to be fond of; it is based on FEELINGS and not on PRINCIPLE. It’s never used of man’s love to or for God. This is human or natural kind of love. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Genesis 8:19; Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:21). This kind of love is however essential and crucial for a family bonding and wellbeing.

*2. EROS: Grk (of the Physical body) – Sexual love; purely reserved for the married – within the bond of marriage. It’s based on PHYSICAL ATTRACTION. It’s neither for fornication nor adultery. Lust and immoral desires have gotten some into it, hence there’s a great act of PERVERSION in our societies today – and we are paying hugely for the consequences across the board. (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7:1-9; 1 Corinthians 6:15-20).

*3. AGAPE: Grk (of the spirit) – God kind of love; unconditional, limitless, divine, spiritual. It transcends race, gender, generation, culture, family, physical, personal (self) etc. 1 Corinthians 13. It’s built on PRINCIPLE. Agape love even helps to ensure, STRENGTHEN and MAINTAIN the Phileo and Eros kind of love in all life endeavours. Agape love is based on PRINCIPLE – be it towards things or people.

Notably, the PHILEO OR EROS kinds of Love need to be controlled by AGAPE kind of love or else it will hinder our fellowship with God and leads to SIN acts. (E.g. EROS – 1 Corinthians 13:5; PHILEO – 1 Samuel 2:22-36).

Let’s not just say we have love, lets LIVE and WALK IN LOVE, for love is of the Spirit – Romans 5:5.

“If we LIVE in the Spirit, let us also WALK in the Spirit” Galatians 5:25.

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 and WALK IN LOVE, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” Ephesians 5:1-2.

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being ROOTED and GROUNDED IN LOVE, 18 may be able to COMPREHEND with all saints what is the BREADTH, and LENGTH, and DEPTH, and HEIGHT; 19 and to KNOW THE LOVE OF christ, which PASSETH (TRANSCENDS, SURPASSED) KNOWLEDGE (SENSE), that ye might be FILLED with all the FULNESS of God” Ephesians 3:17-19.

DEFINING LOVE IN GOD’S TERMS: GOD IS LOVE!

Defining Love? Which Love? What kind of Love? The LOVE that’s WORTH pondering. Is it the Love made and built of SENSE knowledge or The Love born of REVELATION knowledge!

HEREIN IS MY TAKE ON DEFINING LOVE:

** SENSE KNOWLEDGE LOVE:
 This LOVE response to our senses – which is made of these FIVE senses: FEEL (Touch), SMELL, TASTE, SEE and HEAR. This is the realm where the VALENTINE love operates especially. This is where the natural instincts of carnality and humanity operates. It’s of the world, hence defines in terms, and it’s limited in every sense to meet the human quest. I wonder why many if not multitudes should wait for FEBRUARY 14 to genuinely express love to someone they care about. Is like waiting until Christmas to express goodness to those you care about. There’s nothing wrong in the common sense LOVE in essence in humanity if guided and guarded by God’s kind of love; only that, this LOVE is body-ruled, full of bundles of selfishness, more importantly, man-made – hence limited in all ramifications.

** REVELATION KNOWLEDGE LOVE:
 This LOVE is of God. It is spiritual, meaning, it’s inspiring, revealing and empowering. It sensitises the sense knowledge towards your spiritual causes and as such it expresses genuinely to all and more importantly to those you care about day to day. It does not wait for special occasions like VALENTINE or CHRISTMAS or BIRTHDAY and such like to express great heart-felt goodness. It’s boundless, intentional and reachable.

Therefore think before you go in debt for a one day or part-time kind of LOVE act that may end up in CARNALITY and at CROSS-FIRE afterwards.

Know full well today that – GOD IS LOVE. In other words, the DEFINITION of LOVE is – God. You can only DEFINE LOVE in God. And God’s Love which is in Christ Jesus, transcends, surpassed and supercedes human sense knowledge in every dimensions. Until one knows and understands it, the struggles for genuine love will keep showing up; and the unnecessary asking of all sorts of questioning about LOVE and matters of LOVE.

As Believer in Christ, are you in love built on SENSE knowledge or in REVELATION knowledge.

“And to KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST, which PASSETH (Transcends, Supercedes) KNOWLEDGE (Human Senses), that ye might be FILLED with ALL the FULNESS of God” Ephesians 3:19 (Emphasis Mine).

“Beloved, let us love one another: FOR LOVE IS OF GOD; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for GOD IS LOVE. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. As love is the greatest, then maximize. Herein is genuine LOVE litmus test checker:

“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages[b] and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless. 11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child.
