BE PREPARED – AS A HORSE FOR BATTLE

The Achievers’ Spirit of Triumph

Prov 21:31 ‘’ The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD’’

2 Sam 11:1-5 ‘’And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child’’.

Jeremiah 12:5 ‘’If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?’’

Shalom! I bring you kingdom greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. I pray that the grace, love, peace and mercy of our God be increased and multiplied to you, with all things under your feet as you take the first step in his first month of year 2009 – JANUARY!

I believe by now you may have received the 42nd Generation Foundation theme for the year – 2009 AFD Edition – which was meant to structure the foundation for the new year – to serve as footing – upon which our monthly Achievers’ Faith Digest (AFD) will be leaning towards.

January Edition

When I consider closely all that has happened in 2008 – to families whom I have had the privilege of hearing their cries and pains and the different news still going on in the media: I also see and hear some believers act and speak as a people without hope and God in this world. I am bound to trust God that this January 2009 AFD edition will bring about an awakening to each one of us into a place of triumph and desired dreams.

There Is – Battle in Life

2 Tim 4:7 ‘’I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:’’

1 Tim 1:18 ‘’This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare’’

1 Tim 6:12 ‘’Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses’’.

John 16:33 ‘’These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’’

Battles speak of a fight, conflict and the struggle that we go through in our lifetime. The scripture of Proverbs 21:31 intimates us of battle in life even as other scriptures also referred to it as war, warfare and a fight in life.

I remember a prayer scenario in which a young man came to meet his Pastor for prayers in order to get rid of any problems then and in future. The Pastor with all sincerity asked him to kneel, laid his hand on him and prayed this prayer – Lord, since this young man cannot take any more problems, kill him and take him home early – hearing this, the young man stopped the Pastor. He learnt from here, that under the sun, battles, conflicts, struggles, challenges and fights – are real to life either directly or indirectly.

As an achiever you need not take things for granted as some may. A lot of Christians jump into the New Year with great excitements, but unarmed and unprepared and end up being casualties of any problems that come their way instead of being victors as in Christ Jesus.

2 Cor. 10:3-6 ‘’For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled’’

Eph. 6:11-12 ‘’Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places’’.

1 Peter 5:8-9 ‘’Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world’’

We are constantly engaged in life battles – they are real, be it natural or spiritual. We need to realise and acknowledge these realities. These are some of the factors that we can attribute to life battles:

· Bereavement

· Mental & psychological battles

· Emotional problems

· Spiritual battles

· Financial battles

· Health problems

· Social problems

· Peer pressure

· Marital/Relationship strife

· Business/ Career trials

· Wars (Family, Community, National)

· Insecurity

· Natural disasters

· . . . and many others.

Some of these battles come with no warning whatsoever and are in various sizes and phases.

The Horse – Prepared for Battle

Proverbs 21:31 ‘’The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD’’

Job 39:19 ‘’Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?’’

1 Corinthians 14:8 ‘’For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?’’

In scripture the horse is used as a symbol of fleshly strength and might in war as described in Job 39:19-25, Psalms 20:7, Psm 33:16-17 & Psm 147:10

The horse is a solid-hoofed domesticated mammal used for pulling carts for war and for pleasure riding and racing. The horse has to be prepared against the day of battle or for whatever purpose it may be for. In racing the horse is prepared through intense training – months before the race.

In the case of American Indians going to war – the soldier would knot up the horse’s tail to prevent the enemy from taking hold of it and using it to take him down. He would plait the mane to prevent his bow and arrow getting entangled during combat. For war – horses were prepared both for emergency and planned wars. Vet checks, appropriate food for strength, and all necessary training and exercise regimes were carried out. So not only was the horse prepared in order to have speed and strength for the battle but preventative measures were put in place to ensure that the enemy could not pick on its weak areas. The American Indians would also decorate the horse in order to identify with their own and these decorations would usually tell a story about who the Indian and his horse were and were capable of.

We Are – God’s Battle Axe (prophetic)

Jeremiah 51:21-23 ‘’Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers’’

Psalm 18:38-40 ‘’I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me’’.

Just as the horse was the vehicle in use for battle – in the same manner we are God’s vehicle to accomplish His purposes on earth. We serve a royal God and one of the great roles for kings is to ensure safety, security and prosperity for their subjects. We are a royal priesthood – 1 Peter 2:5, 9 – we have a responsibility to keep our place in God safe from the enemy.

We are God’s battle axe and weapons of war to bring about the change not only in our personal lives but in our community. If we cannot battle the ant around us how can we battle for others? I pray that you will be inspired and not expire. Inspiration as God’s battle axe will cause you to aspire to greater heights and fight through to achieve that which you desire. You can only possess what you are willing to pursue.

Jere. 12:5 ‘’If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?’’

When people come across trials – the tendency is to give up. (Luke 18:1) If you get weary on a foot battle, how will you contend with ‘horses’ in some pursuits of business and personal life? Achievers do not give in until victory comes. You are an achiever – do not give in.

The Battle – Is the Lord’s

Psm 24:8 ‘’Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle’’.

Psm 20:6-8 ‘’Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright’’.

Josh 5:13-15 ‘’And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the LORD’s host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so’’.

One basic thing should always be in the depth of our spirit – and that is to know that no amount of self made strength can get us truly out of these battles (Zech. 4:6). If we could, the credit crunch would have left only a few in the red. All are looking for a miracle to deliver them because their strength has come to an end. The good news is that the battle of life is the Lord’s. You need not fight in your own strength – hand it all over to God. This is what David did to triumph over Goliath. Commit that marital, business, career, financial battle to the Lord; He will definitely fix it for you. It doesn’t matter how small or how big it may appear or look, the Lord will fix it again and again.

1 Sam 17:47-49 ‘’And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands. AND IT CAME TO PASS, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slung it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth’’.

Prov 21:31 ‘’The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD’’.

You can triumph over that monster of health, finance, business and relationship breakdown. Don’t give up or own up to the enemy, just keep on keeping on until your miracle comes from the Lord. It’s only what the Lord does that last for ever to authenticate His handwork and His glory in His Church on earth – that includes you.

Dare Plan – Be Prepare for Life Battle

Prov. 16:1, 3, 7, 9 ’’The preparations of the heart belong to man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD . . . Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established . . . When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. A man’s heart plans his way: but the LORD directs his steps’’

Mark 1:35 ‘’And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he (Jesus) went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed’’.

Josh. 1:8 ‘’This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest OBSERVE to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success’’

I’ve called back again and again what you very well know. That conflicts are real, battles are real regardless of what people think or the angle from which you are looking. The book of Jeremiah 12:5 challenges us not to grow weary when life’s battles come for if we faint for men on foot how then can we compete with big time business magnets in our society. The Bible says that if we faint, our faith (strength) is small – Proverbs 24:10.

Life battles come to us in various forms, times and seasons, we must be alert or else we will be caught in the net – Eccl 9:11-12. Our arc enemy who is the architect of our battles goes to and fro seeking for whom he may devour and disrupt their God given dreams. While the battles belong to the Lord, you have also the responsible of planning and preparing ahead of all battles of life. Failing to Plan and prepare, is otherwise the act of planning and preparing to fail in life. GOD FORBIDS!

Learning the principles of life from our lord Jesus – I will give you just two principles – not limited however – that will enable you to crush your enemy and to achieve your desired goals for 2009 as you plan and prepare.

· Principle of Prayer and worship – Mark 1:35, Luke 18:1. Be alert in the spirit of prayers with God the Father. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit, the chief executive of God concerning all the happenings in the WORLD today, He will lead you through in all life battles with victory. You can’t afford to do life battles without the Holy Spirit in Prayers as an achiever in Christ Jesus our Lord– 1 Cor. 2:6-16.

· Principle of studying the Word and doing the Word of God, in order to receive revelation, inspiration and empowering to deal with the affairs of life at any level – Josh 1:8, Psm 1:1-3, 2 Tim 2:15, 2 Tim 3:14-17; James 1:22-25.

When you know the mind of God – you will by the word – and you saturate it with God’s grace in prayers, you will ever win these battles no matter what it takes and how long it takes. The scripture says that the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him – But we have the mind of Christ. Amen! 1Cor. 2:14-16.

Consequences – Being Ill-Prepared

2 Sam. 11:1-5 ‘’And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child’’

Psm. 78:9-11 ’’The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had showed them’’

Under the sun, the Battles of life most times comes our way with the intent to stop us from achieving God’s purposes in our life as we take our stand in Christ. Idleness and standstill position is one cunning and crafty way it comes and it does not only destroy an individual, it makes those around you suffer the same defeat when you yield to it – as failing in life battles always demands that.

The Scripture says it was the time when kings go to batter, but David decides not to go to war (Rev. 5:9-10; 1Pet. 2:5, 9). As a result of that idleness – the devil workshop they say – he fell into adultery that caused him confusion and family decadence for the rest of his family life. He began to make so many wrong judgements afterwards and his children went in the same lineage after him. That is the greatest strategy of life. To create a problem which posterity can’t fathom, but suffer same due to the error of another.

The children of Ephraim, who are meant to fight in the battle for God’s people, return without a shot from the battle field on the day of battle. What a great disappointment that an army fully armed and equipped returns without a shot in the midst of war. Israel was defeated that day. That is the kind of pain and disappointment that you get when those much trusted disappoint. And you see it in all areas of life – Marriage, business, career, parenthood, education, name it etc.

When people are self centred, they will never do anything for you on the day of your battle – these are vision and mission killers – they destroy faithful trust and the confidence of others for their selfish reasons.

This is why you should prepare, live ready and lean on God and not the kind of men with Ephraim’s and David’s spirit and attitude – on the day of battle.

Finally – The Winning Spirit

Isaiah 28:5-6 ‘’In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people, And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate’’.

2Corinthian 2:14 ‘’Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place’’

1Corinthian 14:8 ‘’For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?’’

The trumpet is sounded; the battle stage of life is set for 2009. The prepared horse has a winning spirit. When the trumpet is sounded for battle, all that the prepared horse has in mind is to win every battle no matter what it takes. Know for certain as in the scriptures that you are God’s battle axe and weapon of war to create and give hope to this generation – Jeremiah 51:20-24.

Beloved, as an achiever of God with a desired mandate, my prayer for you and all involved with my commission is to see each one triumph in this God intended mission to raise an amazing and majestic generation. God is raising a generation of hope, passionate with love, driven by faith in all life battles and with a mindset to be victorious and triumphant in life – year 2009 inclusive.

I challenge you in this year 2009 to take on again that business, career, marriage, parenthood, education and that seemingly impossible project you desire and pursue it with a winning spirit. So were you born of God to win in life in Christ Jesus, any day, anytime and anyhow – 2Cor. 2:14.

Therefore, go forth in year 2009, month by month, week by week and day by day winning the battle of life. I perceive in my spirit that this year 2009 that there is a reality of life for you to be a true STRANGER to defeat and failure. This is imminent and very possible indeed. See it and live for the greatest!

Be awake, alert and ready before the day battle begins. So, I pray by the grace of God that you will see your DAY even before its dawn, for so is the achiever mindset to life, even as our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen! – Mark 1:35.

Triumphing By The Rod, Celebrating Christ

-Achievers Weapon of Significance-

Exodus 4:1-17 ‘’. . . And the LORD said unto him (Moses), What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod . . . And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’.

2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘’Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place’’

December 2008

I earnestly welcome you in the name of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ with His grace, peace, love and mercy into this commemoration and celebration month of Triumphing by the rod – DECEMBER! The month for the commemoration & celebration of the birth of our TRIUMPH in Christ Jesus from the dominion and oppression of satan and his cohorts. It’s worth commemorating and celebrating; and please do enjoy it with all your being.

Our Place

Jeremiah 17:12‘’A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary’’

Acts 1:1-3‘’ The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God’’

The text of Jeremiah 17:12 reminds us of our first place in creation. A glorious and awesome high throne from the beginning was the place of our sanctuary. We lost that achievement in Eden until our Lord Jesus Christ came – as we celebrate and commemorate Him this month.

The text of Acts 1:1-3 clearly says that when Christ came, He began to DO – achieve, restore, redeem, refresh, re-awaken, – and TEACH (show the way), for us to achieve and live triumphantly again. Life is in the doing and it’s time for us to arise in faith in order to achieve our desired goals and be a plus and not a minus to our generation. A mere celebration and commemoration is not enough to live and achieve triumphantly except we understand the place of the rod in the celebration to effect a positive change to our generation.

“The relevance of history can only be determined by the instructions we draw out from it to inform the decisions of the present and to fashion out new paths for our tomorrow”. Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa (CGM – Nigeria)

“Yesterday was our teacher, today is our friend and tomorrow is our opportunity”. Dr Daisy Osborn (Osborn Foundation – USA)

Beloved Achiever, you are the reason the earth was created. You are the reason while the world is still preserved today. You are the reason the homeless and hopeless can find a home and hope, the failure can find success, the blind can still see, the lame can still walk, the deaf can still hear, the sinner can still find salvation, the un-churched and unloved can still find a church and love in the world today. You are the reason why mankind can still prosper wholly today. Your being born of God is to prove to satan and his cohorts that light is superior to darkness and that the government of this life is no longer in his hands according to the scriptures.

Psalm 24:1-2‘’A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods’’

Luke 10:17-20 ‘’And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven’’

Matthew 16:18-19’’And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’’

John 1:5 ‘’And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not’’

You are made for significance and wonders, that’s how you were and are born – fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139:14-18). You must take your stand and live life to its fullness.

The Rod – The Enemy (Pharaoh)

Exodus 4: 2, 17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

Psalm 23:4‘’ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’’

Exodus 15:9‘’The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them’’

I make bold to say that without the rod, an achiever is defenceless in any life endeavours. For the Rod is your weapon of instruction and defence in the face of pharaoh. And they are many pharaohs today than ever opposing us in achieving our God given goals and life pursuits – career, relationship, ministry, finances, marriage, entrepreneurship, etc.

The Rod is our God given weapon of stopping the pharaoh (satan and cohorts) activities in our way of progress and significant in life desired goals. The rod is our weapon of instruction in breaking the strongholds of the enemy, making rough places smooth, crooked road straight, exalting every valley and bringing every mountain and hill low to enact the purposes of God in our life, our generation and posterity. (Isaiah 40:3-5). The rod is our God given spiritual tool for our life goals warfare. (2Cor. 10:3-6 amplified)

In Exodus, Moses had a mandate to lead and set God’s people free out of Egypt by the privileges he has received of God, but there was an enemy – Pharaoh and his kingdom. And if Moses was to take them out of Egypt and into the promised blessings of God – a land that flowed with milk and honey, he needed help. Moses was a highly educated man in all the wisdom of doing life in Egypt – (Remember, civilisation they say began in Egypt) – that explains how highly skilled and enlightened Moses was.

Acts 7:22‘’And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds’’

In spite of all Moses’ expertise, intellectualism and exposure in Pharaohs house, he could not achieve his earnest dreams to set free his people from the hand of the enemy – Pharaoh. It must have been very worrying when all his education and the wisdom of Egypt could not deliver him nor his people.

In the same scenario we have seen today in our world our economy melt down in spite of all the 21st century high-tech and skilled economics, politicians, intellectuals, scientist, financiers, technocrats’ etc. The economy situation of the world has invariably affected families, career opportunities, business entrepreneurships, relationships, nations, dreams and aspirations and many others.

But in Exodus, God now asked Moses, what do you have in your hand, and he answered a rod. And God said to him, by THIS ROD you will DO (create, achieve, bring about) significance – hope, deliverance, healing, salvation, peace, comfort and your desire goals. Know full well that this rod has always been there, but never considered relevant because it’s not what is considered important in human endeavour, while in it was the answer for his questions and desired aspirations and dreams (1 Cor. 1:18-31).

People today are looking and waiting for signs and wonders to happen so that they can do what they need to do. That’s not how God works; instead God wants us not to wait for it but to use the rod to create, achieve and cause the significance and wonders we desire to come to be. You have to use the rod to stop the enemy and create the life and the world you need to enjoy.

The Rod – The Christ

Exodus 4:2, 17 “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs”

Isaiah 11:1-2 “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD”

Matthew 1:1, 6, 16‘’ The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham . . . And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah . . . And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ’’

Psalm 110:1-3 “A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth”

When God spoke to Moses in Exodus 4:2, 14 about the rod, it was literally a rod in human perspective. But in God’s own perspective, it was a shadow (concealed) for the reality and revelation that was to come. The scripture indicates in Isaiah 11:1-2, that the rod was Jesus who came out of the stem of Jesse through the lineage of David as assuredly recorded in the genealogy scripture of Matthew chapter one verses one to seventeen.

The scripture also makes bold to say in Psalm 110 that the rod is the strength of Zion (The Redeemed Church – Hebrews 12:22-24) and by the rod, the enemy powers are overturned, they are subdued and kept at bay so that we can go living triumphantly, victoriously and achieving our desired goals. Our Lord Christ, been the revealed rod in Moses hand, He can take you to a place of significance and awesome wonders: from poverty to prosperity, from obscurity to popularity, from who are you to how are you. This is the reason for the season celebration. No more room for poverty-luyah, afraid-luyah, fear-luyah etc., but HOSSANA HALLELUYAH in all life circumstances.

The Rod – The Christ – The Word

Exodus 4:2, 17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

John 1:1-5, 14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not . . . And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

1 John 5:6-7 “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”

From the context of the above scriptures you can clearly see that the rod though a concealed shadow in the hands of Moses for the Church in the wilderness became a revealed rod – Christ – for the redeemed Church. The concealed Rod became the revealed Christ which became -The Word. And this Word bears witness in the heavens for the saints with the Tri-une God. What a mystery, that a mere rod in one person’s hand is a living personality living in another person’s heart – You. What was ordinary became extraordinary in human nature to be born in the flesh.

And this season all over the world He is been celebrated and his birth is commemorated by all in different styles. Jesus Christ – in His humanity is the Word of God that is, has been and will ever be. Thanks to God that we have the Rod in our hands and hearts today –The Christ, The Word of God, The Bible – ‘’Blessed Information Bringing Life Eternal’’.

By The Rod – Doing The Significant

Exodus 4:17‘’And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod, And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs’’

2 Cor. 2:14 ‘‘’Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place’’

For Moses to accomplish and achieve his dreams and aspirations to get Israel from the bondage of Egypt he needed to put the rod to use in order to silence Pharaoh and his cohorts (Exodus 14:5-22). In same like scenario, if we must be triumphant daily and in every place, we must not only know or have the rod but must put it in use. The rod is not for decoration, but to empower us to do significant achievements and goals in life that will enhance our present and give hope and aspirations to posterity. If all you can achieve is what is only common to all men for today, you will soon be out of date and irrelevant to the present and next generation. It’s all about DOING signs (being significant) with the rod.

Jesus Did

Acts 1:1 “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach’’

Acts 2:22 “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know’’

Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, though he was God’s son, but as a man, he demonstrated being significant to make a difference in his days in the flesh. By him hope, faith, good will, peace and love find their place in human hearts today. No wonder He is been celebrated in the world this season in all human endeavours.

Apostles Did

Acts 5:12-15 “And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them”

The Apostles in the Bible days did significant things in their dispensation that marvelled their generation and posterity. They changed the course of life, giving substance to their world (Mark 16:16-20).

The Church –The believer (you) –Will & Can DO!

Mark 16:17-20 ‘’He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen’’

James 1:22-25‘’ But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed’’

Philippians 4:13‘’I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me’’

If there is any time the world need significant intervention of God, it’s today and in this generation. The believer in Christ, that includes you, is equally mandated to do signs – significant achievements by the rod. The day and time has come and now is, when you have to arise, take the rod – God’s word – by faith and put an end to all manifestation of shame, embarrassment, reproach, failure, fear, setbacks, etc.; and work yourselves into a life of significance.

Every believer is in a platform of champions, winners, overcomers, more than conquerors, victors etc., no matter what state or season of life you are now. The Rod – the word of God – is the answer to end that opposition, bondage, harassment and setback placed by pharaoh and his cohorts in your life, which tends to cripple your aspirations and desired goals in life. God’s word is the talisman, the medicine to your mountains and valleys and circumstances affecting you at the moment. Obedience to the use of the Rod as Moses did will end the stand still and same circle pains; will turn your shame to fame, your disappointment to appointment, failure to success, hopelessness to hope, fear to faith and test and trials to testimony. You can be significant

Finally

Isaiah 8:18‘’Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion’’

Romans 8:19‘’For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God’’

The scriptures above are great prophesies which sum it up that all in Zion will together with the Lord live a triumphant life of significance in all areas of life – spiritually, mentally, socially, physically, financially etc. (Luke 2:52). Also that creation awaits all God’s children to demonstrate and manifest who they really are. Hence as you celebrate, commemorate the Lord Christ of Christmas, the reason for the season; it will be greatly significant if you go the extra more mile to make a difference from the usual routine. Its time to tap in and draw the triumph from Christ’s birth, get hooked on the rod to make and live an amazing, glorious, awesome and a significant life that no one has and will ever live because you are UNIQUE!

Soaring as an EAGLE

–The Springboard to Achieve set Goals-

Proverbs 30:18-19 ‘’There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid’’.

A soaring eagle

I sincerely welcome you in Jesus Name into another exciting and soaring God made month for your rejoicing – NOVEMBER! It’s my prayer and earnest desire that you will be excited to soar as an eagle over all things that have limited you; also, that you will eventually locate yourself in God’s plans to achieve your desired set goals – Amen! (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP)

We live in such a time in which we need to register our faith solely on Him that has made us and by him we have the breath of life – The Holy Spirit. Only by the Holy Spirit can we deal with the affairs of life in achieving our desired goals.

Job 33:4 ‘’The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life’’.

Job 32:8 ‘’But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding’’.

The text of Proverbs 30:18-19 above speaks of three wonderful things, which the wise King Solomon earnestly declares one of them as – ‘The Way of an Eagle in the Air’. And if you can understand the ways of an eagle in the air in achieving your life goals and desires, then – Favour – will become your new name. May it be so right away in Jesus name, Amen.

Proverbs 13:15 ‘’Good understanding gives favour: but the way of transgressors is hard’’.

Soar or Soaring

Our God intend all His children with an achievers mandate to soar if they must BECOME what they are born or made to be in Christ Jesus.

To soar or soaring is an act:

  • To rise or fly upwards into the air
  • To glide while maintaining altitude/height in the air
  • To rise or increase suddenly above the usual level

Our God does not want you to just live or rise in life, He wants you to triumphantly maintain that altitude or height of grace as it affects every single area of your wellbeing and faith in Him (1 Thessalonians 5:23). You are redeemed to be a SOARER in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Eagle and Eaglet

‘’Eagles are made, while eaglet are born’’. This is a wise and true faithful saying in life. The Eagle is a large keen-sighted bird of prey with a massive hooked bill and long, large broad wings and a strong soaring flight. The eaglet, otherwise, is the young eagle.

The difference between the eagle and eaglet.

When you understand the biblical concept of becoming an eagle rather than an eaglet as I will layout in this edition, you will soar and by it end all those anxieties and worries that makes you think there is no tomorrow. Except you decide to still remain an eaglet who wants to enjoy the eagle lifestyle and don’t want to undergo God’s make-over that transform an eaglet to an eagle.

  • Jesus Christ our Example:

Isaiah 9:6 ‘’For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given . . .’’

John 3:16 ’’For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’’

The above prophetic scripture about our Lord Jesus Christ indicates the transformation and positioning of an eaglet to an eagle. As a child Jesus was born, but as a Son was given (made). When made, one is empowered to achieve, rule and reign in life. God could only give Jesus to save the world as a Son, not as a child. It took thirty years for Jesus to undergo an eaglet life make-over and translation for a three and half year eagle mandate. Hence He succeeded. And the scripture (Joshua 1:8) enjoins us to learn of Him if we must have good success and prosper as our Lord promises us and did – The eagle way!

  • The Redeemed in Christ

Galatians 4:1-7 ‘’Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differed nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ’’.

Man and child

From the epistle of Galatians above, it comes so glaring how God wants His children as Abraham seed and achievers to possess an eagle mandate than that of an eaglet. As a child (eaglet) – one is under tutorship or training, while as a Son (eagle) – one is made to bear rule, reign and take charge and control. (1 Pet. 2:2; Isaiah 28;9-12; Heb. 5:11-14). The danger of many Christian families, marriages, relationships, business, careers and Ministries is that lots of people want to enjoy the eagle lifestyle with eaglet mentality and behaviour to life issues. This has hindered the true joy reality of their Christian Faith. The world and creation awaits the manifestation and revealing of God’s sons and not mere children, by taking their place for the beauty of mankind. Will you arise and take your place as a son!

Romans 8:19 ’’For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation (revealing) of the sons of God’’.

1 Corinthians 13:11 ‘’When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man (son), I put away childish things’’

The Eagle Way

The eagle way is the believer’s path way to achieving their God given life goals. And when you do understand the know-how of mounting up with wings as the eagle, you can keep yourself afloat over all mountains and valleys of life. The reasons behind all this is because human ideals and philosophy will fail us as we’ve seen over the years and more recently in our world economic breakdown in spite of all our gigantic empire of great intellectuals, economics, scientist and technologists, politicians and financiers and many, many more. Let’s ponder and consider the scriptures below, in the light of the eagle way:

Deuteronomy 32:7-14 ‘’Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will show thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee . . . As an eagle stirred up her nest, fluttered over her young, speeded abroad her wings, takes them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape‘’.

The scripture above compasses the very intent of God for His people. From nothing to splendid, that’s the way the first church in the wilderness was raised – to soar as an eagle – and to raise the eaglet to become an eagle. For as eagles they prospered, achieved their desired goals and God was in their midst.

They that wait upon the Lord, will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31 ‘’But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint’’

The above book of Isaiah enjoins us to the eagle ways in these dimensions

  • The Eagle waits upon the wind – Holy Spirit – before it makes any move, hence it renews – does not waste/burn out – strength (Psalm 103:5)
  • The Eagle does not flap wings – like other birds – but mounts up with wings and glide (Job 39:27) hence: It does not go weary and does not go fainting (give up or loose heart)

An achiever can’t act as a turkey or other birds that flap wings and want to enjoy the height of an eagle that mounts up with wings.

Job 9:25-26 ‘‘Now my days are swifter than a post . . . They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey’’.

The above scripture also indicates that eagles are not sluggish in life affairs. They are smart, quick, prompt, fast and maximize opportunity. They don’t take their time or timing to soar for granted. They act promptly at the move or movement of the wind.

Soaring as an Eagle: The Wind – The Spirit

Soaring as an eagle is only possible if you can recognise the movement of the wind – The Holy Spirit. This will emancipate and deliver one from all yokes and burdens affecting our drive to actualise our life desired goals.

John 3:8 ’’The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit’’

Unlike most birds, the eagle does not flap its wings but mount them up for flight in relation to the movement of the wind. It’s by this swift or prompt agility to get on the wind that takes the eagle to heights and places of life without exhaustion unlike most birds.

The scripture likens the wind to the Holy Spirit as a metaphor shown in John 3:8. And our ability to know and understand the move of the Holy Spirit in relation to our life goals makes all the difference in the kingdom.

Genesis 1:1-4 ‘’In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness’’.

When the Holy Spirit moves and hovers over the face of the waters on earth, God knowing the indication of that movement, began to speak forth, makes prophetic creative declarations. And that’s how creation was made upon the earth. In the same like manner, when an achiever comes to know and understand the move of the Holy Spirit, creativity and the pursuit to achieve life goals will begin to takes it direction. How I do pray that this inspiration and revelation and empowerment will find its place in your spirit today, in Jesus precious name, amen!

FINALLY!

There is more in store for you, same for every child of God than can be imagined and this is made possible by the Holy Spirit. When we mount up our spiritual wings for flight as the eagles on the move of the wind – Holy Spirit, we can soar as the eagle to height of greatness and the stars they say, will not just be our limit.

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 ‘’But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God’’.

I therefore challenge you today to make a new relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit that you might soar (glide) in life. You can then chart your life of creativity for the world you long and want to have and enjoy. I pray that you will give thoughtful consideration of your life to the Holy Spirit in order to end the struggles, exhaustion, weariness, anxieties and tiredness you’ve endured all these years. Be blessed and welcome to this exciting and soaring month of greatness – NOVEMBER!

Overcoming In Life By The GOSPEL

 – The Enabling Power to Achieve Life Goals –

Romans 1:16 ‘’For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the Power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”.

Deut 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day”.

In Jesus’ name I welcome you to this graceful month of October. I trust God that you will never have a cause to regret this month, because you will do the word of God. The desire to achieve purposeful goals lives in the heart of any diligent achiever (Prov 4:23, Prov 22:29, Hebrews 11:6). The present global economic crisis affects every intention of all today including God’s people. In human perspective, you will wonder if there is hope more so of pursuing visions & desired goals. Though many may want to give up or are already giving up, you don’t have to, because you are an achiever. Achievers are winners, and winners don’t give in or give up. They work through crisis, turn it into a crown, to make and established their covenant. For success to an achiever, is failure turn inside out.

The Lord has sent me through this month’s edition to announce that you can overcome. You are already by reasons of your redemption in Christ Jesus, triumphant, victorious and more than a conqueror in the plans & purposes of God. All God expects of you is to live daily celebrating His goodness in the midst of– not for – the present challenges in times like this.

2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place”.

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:35–39 “. . . Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us . . .”

The Gospel

Romans 1:16 indicates that the enabling power to achieve salvation comes from the gospel. Salvation is the embodiment of redemption – the saving of the soul, wholeness, deliverance, success, prosperity, healing, soundness, security & preservation.

When the achievers’ desired goals are to enhance or propagate the gospel, God will empower such desires irrespective of any economic, spiritual, demonic and physical opposition.

In Deut 8:18, we are admonished to know that we are covenant children & the intention of God is to establish His Word on, with and for His people. He does this by empowering them to get wealth. The word GET means to create or achieve wealth. Why wealth instead of ‘just enough’ till we get to heaven – but to authenticate God’s covenant and for what He is and for what Christ is done. A Lion does not give birth to an ant. God beget god (Gen. 3:6; Psalm 82:6, John 10:34-35). Setbacks & poverty should not rob us of who we are in Christ. If God intends for his people to achieve/create wealth it is because He has an intention – the gospel – that the salvation of mankind might be accomplished.

Isaac Famine Crunch

God never allowed economic crunch or famine to hinder Isaac’s desire plans in the Bible days to take His people further towards the promised land. Instead Isaac overcame in all his troubles and challenges as a carrier of the covenant as long as his focus was on God’s mandate – the Gospel.

Genesis 26:1-22 “And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham . . . Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. . .”

The reason behind Isaac achieving goals like others in the scripture is because they respected the foundation and memorial of God’s plan and purposes in their time. They adhered tenaciously to what God considered to be their landmark or foundation if they must prosper and enjoy His covenant

Prov 22:28 “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set”.

Psalms 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Jeremiah 6:16a “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. . . ”

Achieving goals is a struggle for many believers. It’s even worst especially among the so called gospel ministers, because we are ministering without the gospel. A lot of man-made ideology is taking its root that some find it difficult in public to let known who they are. Instead of standing in the office of their calling, it appears they want to confine their life like the speakers of the world popularly called motivational speakers or good communicator’s probably to win the flavour of the day. Hence the Gospel calling of God as a Pastor for some like other ministerial offices is no longer acceptable, popular or a pride to acclaim to. But what are you called to DO or desire to ACHIEVE in life is the question now. What has come to take the place of the gospel wherein is the power that saves us. A lot of people in that they can’t or are struggling to achieve their goals have in essence gone compromising their faith. Where lays then the POWER OF THE GOSPEL that brings SALVATION – favour, peace, joy, mercies, forgiveness etc, in the Holy Spirit. Let us restore the gospel to its place as the foundation & God’s only memorial given to us in Christ to propel, prosper and appropriate the fullness of our salvation that we might find rest to our soul. The gospel gives – hope, faith, strength, love, life, deliverance, prosperity – to our desire goals either in business, career, marriage, ministry etc, name it.

Living for A Cause

1.Jesus – Our Example & Pattern

John 18:37 ‘’Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice’’

1 John 3:8 ‘’He that committeth sin is of the devil;for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil‘’

Acts 2:22 ‘’Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know’’

From the above scriptures we see how our Lord Jesus could get all the heavens available to Him to deal with the affairs of life. Not necessarily as God but as a man because the Gospel – salvation of mankind – the wellbeing of people was His passion hence He overcame triumphantly. He had the heavenly with him as a man simply because:

  • He lived for a cause – not any kind of life
  • He lived for a purpose – focus, vision, driven.
  • He had the Gospel (God’s passion) in Him – people oriented,
  • He had heavens approval with diverse miracles and wonders – supernatural provisions.
  • Heaven provided human help to assist Him in achieving His goals (Luke 18:1-3) in spite of having an accountant who turned out to be a thief and a betrayer.

2. Apostle Paul – Another Example

  • As a teacher: Acts 20:20-21, “And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ”.
  • As a Pastor: 1 Thess 2:2-8 “But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention. For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us”
  • As an evangelist: Romans 9:1-3 “I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh’’10:1 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved”
  • As an Apostle: 2 Corinthians 11:28 “Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.”

Apostle Paul in spite of all oppositions & economic challenges as recorded in the scriptures, he achieved the cause and purposes for which he was born – the GOSPEL (Galatians 1:6-11). Hence he could make the bold statement of achieving his goal as in this scripture below.

2 Tim 4:6-8: ”For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”

Your Empowerment

Beloved, the scriptures in Romans 1:16 and Deut 8:18 indicate the means by which we can overcome and be empowered. Our God is not allowing economic crisis to punish the world but to wake the saints up for such a time as this. He wants to pour out His knowledge and wisdom on the church so that when the world is limited economically and otherwise, they will look to the church for hope and freedom. If the church is beggarly, struggling and compromising the truth of the gospel, we will only become like the world, suffer, complain and murmur like they do.

Therefore Arise! For it is written in 1John 1:12 ‘’ But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name’’ if you can receive the right course of the gospel – salvation of mankind – God will empower you to create & achieve goals that will enhance your life and the destiny of others. When an individual, family or a nation devote their life to the cause of God’s will – the Gospel – empowerment (wisdom & knowledge) will come into reality. God will only commend what He commands – THE GOSPEL.

Finally

I pray this month of October you will daily experience the life of an over comer and God will cause you to achieve His purpose in your life. I do ask that our God will empower you as an individual, family or a Church and that you will not lose your focus in the Gospel. Its time to achieve goals by identifying what God has called you to be in the kingdom. You are made for success, don’t live small.

Only the Gospel has power to bring forth your salvation – desired goals – wholeness, wellness, health, healing, saving of the soul, sound mind etc.

Dare to overcome . . . the enabling power – THE GOSPEL.

Achieving Life Goals through ‘’God’s Righteousness’’

(To view the scriptures, hover the mouse over the scripture, alternatively, double click to view scripture in different window.)

Romans 1:16-17 “”

Philippians 3:9

Praise God! That the set month – September – is here, a month the Lord has instructed me to remind His people to live a lifestyle of righteousness. A life set apart for God, is a life of righteousness. We live in the days that issues of right living are becoming absent in most of our pulpits in the name of political correctness, avoiding offence and not hurting people. In all this, most Christians are struggling to discern why some promises of God are not being fully actualised in their lives as in the scriptures while others enjoy the abiding and awesome presence of God in their lives in spite of the same battles that each goes through.

What determines ones achieving their life goals is in whether they are living under a dogmatic and man-made creed of righteousness or living on God’s kind of righteousness.

RIGHTEOUSNESS – Its Work and Effect:

In scriptural context, it means having a right standing in and with God. It means the right to live and stand in God’s presence without guilt or fear. It also means the right and boldness to appear before God’s presence to obtain help and mercy in times of need without wrath and a doubting heart.

1 Timothy 2:8

Hebrews 4:14-16

The work and effect of righteousness is peace, quietness and assurance. Righteousness produces good work but mere good works or charity on its own is not righteousness. For no man is justified by mere good work as in the law.

Isaiah 32:17

Galatians 2:16

REIGNING (Achieving) in Life:

By the act of our Redemption, we’ve been called into the Kingdom of our God. Hence Christ enjoined us to seek the life style of the kingdom as we seek God’s kingdom. Seeking the life style of the kingdom is seeking God’s way of doing and achieving things. The simple reason is because God’s kingdom life style is about righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. And if we are to reign (achieve) in life as expected in the kingdom, and do business in the kingdom with God, we must of necessity live a life style of righteousness in the Holy Ghost. This is the only way we can partner with God for Him to commend our life pursuits. Hence the great need for every intending achiever to earnestly thirst and hunger for a righteous life style which Christ promises to satisfy.

Matthew 5: 6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”

Matt. 6:33 ‘’ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you‘’

Romans 14:17

Romans 5:17

Revelation 5:9-10

God’s Kind of RIGHTEOUSNESS:

In the main headed scriptural text of Romans 1:16-17 and Philippians 3:9, God’s kind of righteousness can be deduced in these formats:

  • It’s born of the revelation in the gospel of Christ at time of our Salvation in our hearts (spirit)
  • It’s powerful to make one live a triumphant and victorious life
  • It’s an act of faith
  • It cuts across creed, denomination and race. Meaning it’s not dogmatic, not peculiar or particular to some group of people but available to all mankind to live and enjoy God.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, the scripture enjoined us to understand our place in Christ Jesus. That by the virtue of our redemption in the gospel revealed in and to us, we are made: New creation, Ambassador, Reconcilers and God’s righteousness.

Vs 21: ‘’For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him‘’

For Jesus became SIN (not sins) for us, that we might be made God’s righteousness in Him. Also, in 1 Corinthian 1:30 ‘’But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption‘’ and Romans 10:4 ‘’For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth‘’ we can see another cardinal plan in our Redemption that Christ Jesus is made unto us righteousness. Now as God’s people who have been ‘made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ and ‘Christ Jesus made unto us Righteousness’, it means that living a righteous life, is living in the consciousness and abiding presence of Christ in God. For Christ in us, the hope of glory, the hope to achieve goals, the hope to triumph, the hope to be – a winner, victor and more than a conqueror any day, anytime and anywhere.

Righteousness in Demonstration

God’s kind of righteousness is expressed by the empowering of the indwelling Holy Spirit in us as found in 1Corinthial 3:16-17 ‘’ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are‘’ This scripture indicates that by this indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, God’s love and righteousness is shed (spread) abroad in our hearts. In other words, we can live a meaningful life full of love and righteousness towards God and mankind. (Romans 5:5). By the indwelling Holy Spirit we can live above condemnation, dogmas and creed that lead to various kinds of bondages and self harm. Demonstrating in the Holy Spirit God’s kind of righteousness, we are empowered to return to God, be reconciled and restored when we sin. This is also true for now, for anyone struggling with sin to return to God, be reconciled and restored back to God.

1John 1:5-10

God’s kind of righteousness is a gift of God and it delivers one from sin and its consciousness and effect.

Proverbs 14:34 ’’Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people’’

Romans 6:23 ‘’For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord’’

Some Likely Benefits of a Righteous Lifestyle

They are lots of benefits in living God’s kind of righteousness. Here are just few of them;

  • Dominion over sin (Romans 6:14)
  • Makes and enhances friendship with God (James 2:23)
  • Makes one live a transformed life (Romans 12:1-2)
  • Enables one to live above condemnation (Romans 8:1-2)
  • Takes one from strength to strength as in faith to faith (Job 17:9, Romans 1:17)
  • Delivers one from the God’s anger and wrath (Psalm 7:11; Romans 1:16-18)
  • It ensures peace, quietness and assurance forever (Isaiah 32:15-17)
  • . . . and many more

Finally beloved, the call to be set apart this month as a way of awakening us to the consciousness of God’s righteousness is to enhance us in achieving life goals, God’s way. If we must partner with God, this kingdom prerequisite is a must, for it attracts God backings and commendation. For sin consciousness is devilish, man-made and dogmatic and Satan’s set up to have us in guilt and bondages as he is the accuser of the brethren the scriptures say. Living in righteousness will keep us afloat and unspotted in this life as we deal with mistakes, challenges, disappointments and problems of life.

I welcome you into this set month as I do earnestly pray that your relationship and communion with God will increase more and more and you daily triumph, achieving your intended goals. May God set you on high as you set your life apart in His righteousness.

Achieving Life Successes through Faithfulness

Luke 18:1-8 “. . . And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

Luke 16:1-13 “. . . He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”.

As we turn into the eighth month of the year, I call to remembrance that God made all things in six days – on the seventh – He rested and on the eighth day, the empowered man with dominion mandate began to function in achieving the reason for His creation.

Today we live in an age where faithfulness to ourselves and to others is in great demand for creating an atmosphere that we can enjoy. Unfortunately we are so eager to demand faithfulness from others while we may not be faithful ourselves even in the least of things.

Hence I am grateful to the Holy Spirit that this month He has constrained me to challenge us on the need of achieving life goals through faithfulness. Hence the reason to set tasks and targets for oneself in making it be.

We need to know that our God is a faithful God. This is just one basic nature of God – FAITHFULNESS. We being His children cannot afford to live in any other way and expect to achieve greatness in life.

The Results of Being Faithful

Great admirable marriages, homes & businesses are not achieved merely from structural design but from faithful human hearts. The results of being faithful are the prosperity and good success that we all desire. When we make faithfulness an avenue of achieving life’s goals, we promote honesty, decency and healthy lifestyles.

In the scripture quoted at the beginning, Luke 18:7-8, Jesus asked a question about faithfulness. The word FAITH is translated ‘pistil’ in Greek, which denotes faithfulness in English. Jesus wondered how many would be faithful – to trust God and wait upon His Word – without seeking alternative solutions to life’s challenges. The 2nd main text, Luke 16:1-13, shows the reason that many of us cannot achieve our goals. It is because we are not faithful in matters entrusted into our hands by others.

God’s Faithful Nature

In achieving life’s goals, it would be great for you to look at the nature of God regarding faithfulness.

  1. God is faithful to Himself. 2Tim 2:13
  2. God is faithful to His Word and promises. Heb 10:23
  3. God is faithful to His relationship. 1 Corinth 1:9
  4. God is faithful to forgive. 1 John 1:9
  5. God is faithful in agreement. Deut 7:9
  6. God is faithful to establish and deliver. 1 Cor 10:13, 2 Thess 3:3
  7. God is faithful to accomplish His part in the assignment that he gives to us. 1 Thess 5:24
  8. God is a faithful creator. 1 Peter 4 4:19 . . . and many more of our God.

Know full well that we are the offspring of God, the sheep of His pasture. Acts 17:28-29, Psalms 100:3. It then means that we can live a faithful life and achieve good successes. The other reason that we can achieve success is because we are the seed of Abraham – who was faithful and prospered. The same grace is available to us today in spite of our challenges to be faithful and to prosper. Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29. (See Genesis 13:2, 24:1)

Faithfulness Applied

  1. A faithful employee – Whatever position you hold, God requires you to be faithful. Matt 24:45-51, Ephesians 6:5-8, 1 Peter 2;18-20, Col 3:22-25
  2. A faithful employer – look after your staff well whatever the business. Ephesians 6:6-9, Col 4:1, Prov 11:24-26, Deut 10:17-18, Acts 10:34-35, Romans 2:11
  3. Faithful in your relationships. This is a vital ingredient in enhancing a healthy society.
  • Faithfulness in the kingdom business. As a minister, pastor, ministry worker etc, you cannot afford to attend to ministry work in the way that pleases you and at the same time want God’s backing. No adulterations of any sort will make God be a part of it. Faithfulness to God’s Word and commands is a prerequisite to achieving desired goals. 1 Cor 4:2, 2 Tim 2:1-2, Prov 27:23, John 21:15-17 (Numbers 12:7, Heb 3:2,5.)
  • In marriage one cannot afford to be unfaithful and achieve with God. (1 Tim 3:11, Prov 31:10, Prov 20:6, Eph 5:21-33, 1 Peter 3:1-12).
  • Faithfulness is also vital in a parent – child relationship. Eph 6:1-4, Col 3:20-21, Prov 22:6
  • Faithfulness in friendships. Prov 27:6,10, Prov 17:17, Prov 18:24

Faithfulness Rewards

  1. Abound with blessings. Prov 28:20
  2. Abound with health. Prov 13:17, 2 Cor 5:20
  3. A refresher for others. Prov 25:13
  4. There will be increase and promotion. Matt 25:21,23
  5. There will be eternal reward. Matt 25:21b, 23b

Finally, as one with an achievers’ mandate, I beckon on you to set task and target this month on how to walk in faithfulness if you want to partner with God. I pray you be found faithful in every area of your life through this month and thereafter.

ENHANCING your FAITH to BECOME what you BELIEVE

(Matthew 9:27-31; Genesis 26:1-25)

This month is a very crucial month for all who by reasons of grace have been sharing in the Ministry of the AFD. It’s crucial because it is the seventh month of the year and seven signifies maturity, completeness, wholeness, fulfilment etc. God is indicating strongly in my spirit, His intention to make His people ‘BE’. Make them Become what they BELIEVE to ACHIEVE, according to His plans and purposes for their lives.

If we are to ‘BE’, we need to ‘COME’ into His grace in order to ‘BECOME’. My mandate through the AFD is to ensure that you become what you believe; this is God’s great cry for you. Jesus came, died and rose again for your daily triumph and victories (2 Corinthians 2:14, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Romans 8:37).

You may say, ‘Yea, I have become’, but are you complete and in the fullness of it. How many lives is your ‘becoming’ influencing positively towards God and not self. In this time of famine of the truth of God’s Word, God has also promise the knowledge of His Word to His people (2 Timothy 4:1-4, Amos 8:11-14; Daniel 12:4, Habakkuk 2:14). We need words of grace spoken into our lives so that we can become what we believe. It may be a fact that we are at present in an economic and financial crunch leading to political unrest, family breakdown, career mishaps and business setbacks etc, but by God’s spoken Word, it is possible to BECOME, only believe.

Genesis 26:1-25 ‘’ And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham.  And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.  And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:  And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon. And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife.  And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her. And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lain with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us. And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. For all the wells which his father’s servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.  And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.  And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them. And Isaac’s servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water. And the herdsmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him. And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah. And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.  And he went up from thence to Beer-sheba. And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. And he built an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac’s servants digged a well’’.

Matthew 9:27-31 ’’And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.  And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country’’.

In Genesis 26:1-11, there was famine in the land. One option was to escape and search for greener pastures – as sense knowledge would have led people do in difficult times. The other was to stay against all odds in obedience to God’s Word with the eye of faith and subdue it to become what you are made to BE.

Isaac was almost led astray, but thanks to God’s spoken Word and a reminder of his covenant rights as Abraham seed which we too are through what Christ did for us. (Genesis 26:1-5, Galatians 3:26-29).The famine was so bad that he was about to leave and go down the way of the Egyptians (unbelievers). At some point he presented his wife, Rebecca, as his sister to the Philistines in order to protect himself – according to him – from harm.

God spoke to Isaac reminding him of his covenant rights and privileges. Today we have the Bible, the written word of God –referred to as LOGOS. We also have the revealed or spoken Word of God – referred to as RHEMA. To become great is an attitude of obedience. Isaac obeyed the voice of the Lord, took the instructions in spite of the FACTS of life surrounding him – economic and social breakdown. He made a deliberate choice to obey the TRUTH that came from the Word of God not the fact of what he was experiencing.

In Genesis 26:12-14, we see that Isaac’s obedience helped him to reap a hundred fold and God blessed him: that is, he BECAME great and went FORWARD until he BECAME very great. He enhanced his faith by obeying God’s Word. He chose obedience over sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22-23). Listen, as important as sacrifices of worship, of finances, prayer and fasting are, we cannot use them to get God’s attention. They are only valuable when we walk in obedience to God’s Word. Especially when you know what it is that God has instructed you to do in a particular situation. In that Isaac acted on God’s Word, even in the midst of his prosperity being challenged by the enemy, he found grace in God who had been involved from the start (Genesis 26:15-25).

As an achiever in the Lord, your faith attitude will go a long way to determine your altitude. In Matthew 9:27-31 Jesus spoke to two blind men who need to ‘BE’ in their sight saying vs. 29 “…be it unto you according to your faith.” In other words BECOME what you BELIEVE.

The big issue at the moment is for you to ENHANCE YOUR FAITH to enable you to BE what you want to become, be it health, financial freedom or prosperity, marital fulfilment, entrepreneurship, career stability etc. You have the right to succeed in all areas of life. Jesus paid for the salvation of your total being (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 4:12). You can stop focusing on the facts working against you, stop complaining and living in wishful thinking – and rise up in FAITH to become the person that God has purposed you to BE (Romans 8:28-30). This is the choice that we have to make, but my mandate is to see you BECOME by BELIEVING the truth of the Word of God.

 Guidelines To Enhance Your Faith

  • Give your ears to the hearing of God’s Word.(Romans 10:6-10,17
  • Pray in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 20) and obey the leadership of the Holy Spirit ( Romans 8:14-16)
  • Trust on God’s word and His sayings not the facts of life.(John 8:32; Proverbs 4:20-22; Joshua 1:8)
  • Work in love, not bitterness or regret. (Galatians 5:6). Do life business in love. Achieve goals in love.

Finally, God has a reason, plan and purpose for your life. You can become if you change what you believe from mere fact to the truth of the Word of God. I prophesy that the grace to BECOME may be with you and that God help you just like He did Isaac in this crucial month and for the rest of your life.

Be completely fulfilled and BECOME in Jesus’ name. AMEN!

Every Blessing,

Pst Chukie MORSI

‘’LIVING THE KINGDOM, ENJOYING THE BLESSINGS’’

Revelation 5:9-12 – ‘’And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing’’.

Matthew 6:25-34 –‘’ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. ‘’

How much I welcome you to the purposeful month of Greatness – ‘’Living The Kingdom, Enjoying The Blessings’’. The great mandate and privilege of being Born into the kingdom is to enjoy the blessings also. For everyone born into the kingdom which is as a result of believing in the Redemptive work of Christ is not only just to be saved but are called to inherit a blessing. –

Galatians 3:13-14 ‘’Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith ‘’;

1 Peter 3:8-12 ‘’ Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil ‘’

Hebrews 6:10-12 ‘’ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises ‘’.

Our good Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people. He wants each of us in the kingdom not to become just a mere believers in Him but to live the kingdom in achieving their goals and aspirations in life with godly success, happiness, peacefulness, wellness, healthiness etc. This applies to our goals in having a good home, marriage, property, business/career, children, etc/

John 10:10 ‘’The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly‘’

Psalm 35:27 ‘’Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant ’’

3Jn 2‘’Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth ‘’

Joshua 1:8 ‘’ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success‘’.

But unfortunately, many believers in Christ, in pursuance to have this life’s basic amenities have forgotten the kingdom’s major priority or prospect – Living the Kingdom. It’s for this cause that there are a lot of worries, anxieties and depressions with their side effects happening to us in spite of all we have accumulated as possessions.

In the book of Romans 14:17 ‘’ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost ‘’, we can fully ascertain what the kingdom of God is all about. Not just merely fun or of eating and drinking  but having a righteous lifestyle before God in our relations with life and mankind, having and living in  peace with others and without shame before God in a turbulent world and a joyful life in the Holy Spirit in spite of all happenings around you. Living the kingdom is about having a righteous standing with God in an unrighteous environment, living with Peace in the midst of hatred, jealousy, envy, wickedness and disappointment, and rejoicing in your faith by the Holy Spirit in absolute adversities. This is the way to live the kingdom and be above in the present economic and financial instability, natural disasters, political instability, family/domestic breakdowns, business and career uncertainties and much more the continuous and constant spiritual warfare against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places.

2Corinthians 10:3-6 ‘’ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled‘’

The Scripture says all who thirst and hunger after this kingdom pattern will be filled, as written in Matthew 5:6 ‘’Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled‘’. This means that the amount of satisfaction and fulfilment one enjoys or can enjoy in the kingdom is as a result of the quest, thirst and hunger one craves for in the kingdom. God will not waste His kingdom resources that have cost God His Son – Lord Jesus – for our salvation on people whose main purpose is self gratification and materialism for human egos.  For this cause, Jesus made some illustrations on how to value life in the kingdom as written in Matthew 6:25-34 (Main text above). The above scriptures inform us that our life is more precious than mere food and drink, that the body is more vital than clothing. And much more, that we seek first the kingdom of God and His way of doing things (Righteousness), which will enhance all we intend to pursue or are pursuing as believers, then we can have our desires come to reality by no act of stressfulness; and not the other way round as being done in a crazy manner by the unbelievers (Heathens or Gentiles, the scriptures call them). Living the kingdom will give freedom from all forms of anxieties, worries, depression, trauma and disappointment, for we are a people of life, faith, hope and love. We need not to fight or pursue life affairs as those without life, faith, hope and love. Know full well that we are of God and God’s promises will never fail. Delay is never a denial, for our God is always on time. 1 Corinthians 1:9 ‘’God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord‘’.

GOD PROMISES/BLESSINGS:

  1. God wants to ADD wellness to your life – Matthew 6:33 ‘’But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you ‘’.

  2. He promises us a life of hope, welfare and future – Jeremiah 29:11 ‘’ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end‘’.

  3. That in times of famine He will look after us – Job 5:20-27 ‘’ In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good ‘’; Psalm 33:16-19 ‘’ There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. A horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine; Psalm 37:16-19 ‘’A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.  They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied‘’.

In the bible days when the ECONOMY and MONEY FAILED the men of first civilisation in Egypt, God was THERE for His people, much more now we are under His grace and mercies, He will care for His own. Genesis 47:13-27 ‘’And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not aught left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof. Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s. And Israel (God’s people) dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly‘’.

Beloved, as Achievers in Christ Jesus, I pray that you live in the consciousness of the kingdom for what your are as in 1 Peter 2:5-10 ‘’ Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, and precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy‘’. Today a great shaking is happening in diverse places in the world which is invariably affecting nations, some having an economic and political instability, natural disasters, financial crunch, business/career insecurity, family and domestic decadence, community killings or rituals, local and international wars etc. Some of these things we have created are hunting us in a way. But as God’s own child, the scriptures have made it plain that we can live above all these circumstances and that comes by Living the Kingdom in order to enjoy the Lord’s goodness with pleasure – Psalm 65:11‘’ Thou crowns the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness ‘’.

Finally, as we go through this purposeful month of June, the book of Revelations 5:9-12 (explained earlier) indicates seven key kingdom covenant blessings which Christ received on our behalf as His redeemed people. We are redeemed to enjoy them and I duly present them to you and that you pray them into your life as you ‘Live The Kingdom To Enjoy The Blessings’:

  1. Power for fear, inferiority complex and timidity (2Tim. 1:7)

  2. Riches for our Poverty (2Cor. 8:9)

  3. Wisdom for ignorance (James1:5)

  4. Strength for our weakness ( Isaiah 40:28-31)

  5. Honour for our shame (Eph. 2:5-10)

  6. Glory for our reproach(Col. 1:27)

  7. Blessing for our curse(s) (Gal. 3:13-14).

I pray that all these kingdom rights and privileges be added to you as you seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness PURPOSEFULLY and I do prophesy that Isaiah 3:10 become your daily song and experiences throughout this month of JUNE. BE ETERNALLY PROSPERED! Amen.

Maximising Every Opportunity

“Towards Building Your Precious Faith’’

2 Peter 1:1 ‘Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like PRECIOUS FAITH with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

Matthew 13:44-46 ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it’.

Ecc. 9:11-12 ’I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them’.

I perceive strongly in my spirit to specially WELCOME you into this Month Achievers’ Faith theme: Maximising every opportunity towards ‘Building Your PRECIOUS FAITH’. How precious is your Faith in Christ to your wellbeing. For a man can only treasure what he values and has respect for. How valuable is your faith in Christ then? Have you ever read or considered that you can’t purchase or exchange your Faith for wealth, money, career, fame etc.?

Psalm 49:6-9 ‘They that trust in their WEALTH, and boast themselves in the multitude of their RICHES; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:(For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth forever:) That he should still live forever, and not see corruption’.

Prov. 23:5 ‘Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for RICHES certainly make themselves WINGS; they FLY AWAY as an eagle toward heaven’.

We live in the time of life and in a generation in which many have no understanding of the times in which we live. Unlike the Children of Issachar who understood their time – 1Chronicles 12:32 ‘And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had UNDERSTANDING OF THE TIMES, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment’. For us, we live in the last days and a lot of ‘’Last Days’’ events as in the scriptures are daily fulfilled before our eyes positively and negatively. How much more shall we see reasons to continuously and constantly make every effort to treasure our Precious Faith as a Vessel not as an Ornament as in

2Tim. 2:19-21 ‘Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only VESSELS of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work’.

For as a Vessel we can become more to our generation as God’s Achievers. For success without a successor is failure in disguise just as prosperity without posterity is a complete Failure. Our God wants us to be a plus to our generation – Meaning to our Family, Church, Career/Work, Community and Society in general – He wants our life to count in every phase of human endeavour, hence the scripture declared us as a message to one, a people or a generation.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 ‘Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart’.

We are God’s own and an extention of His goodwill to mankind.

The book of Jude 20 ‘But ye, beloved, BUILDING up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost’, encourages us to build and how to build our Precious Faith. Also, Colossians 2:6-7 ‘As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving’ speaks of us being rooted, built up and established in our Precious Faith. Apostle Paul knowing the value of building Faith request the Ephesus Church Elders to what they should do to build their Precious Faith as in Acts 20:32 ‘And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified’.

To build is to make progress, develop, edify, rise like an edifice higher and higher in every areas of our life. We need to make an effort to build and not stagnant because we are engaged daily in spiritual warfare 1 Timothy 1:18 ‘This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare’ we are engaged in a Fight of our Faith as in 1 Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses’. God wants us to fight a good fight of Faith, some fights are just not worth the aggro, hence we have complexity in our family/marital life, career, Christian life, social life resulting in many emotional breakdowns. Apostle Paul fought a good Fight of Faith (2 Timothy 4:7)

Building our Precious Faith in Christ is the only way to keep ourselves alive and awake in this time of all sorts happening around us. For when we BUILD, we are INSPIRED, and when we are inspired we will not EXPIRE. Meaning our inspiration from God will not go dim – 1 Samuel 3:1. The Bible wants us to be inspired and not to sleep in order to have a positive effect on our generation. (Ephesians 5:14, 1Cor. 15:34, Romans 13;11, Proverbs 20:13, 10:5, 6:10, 24:33, 1 Thessalonians 5:6).

We need to keep building up our Precious Faith, for we can’t live our life in the past or experiences of old. What may have been relevant yesterday may not be as relevant in today’s affairs to enhance our Precious Faith in order for us to live a triumphant, victorious and an overcomer life style. (1 Corinthians15:57, 2 Corinthians 2:14, Romans 8:37). In Romans 10:17), the scripture tells us how our Precious Faith which is spiritual can be built, lest we become a people of no faith (2 Thessalonians 3:2), carnal (1Cor. 3:1-3) and/or natural (1 Corinthians 2:14-16).

We need to build our Precious Faith, because it’s the only spiritual tender of obtaining or having any form of deal or exchange in the shop of Heaven (Heb.11:6, 2Cor. 5:7). The book of Hebrews chapter eleven summarises what Faith does through the life of those that are mentioned.

Finally, can you please read and meditate on Matt13:44-46. It sums up a Heart Attitude for Heart Altitude of one who quests to treasure what is precious, valuable and priceless. Every opportunity and chance is maximised to obtain the treasure (Ecc. 9:11-12). You can begin today and through the Month of MAY to seek for all it takes to build your precious Faith to enhance and increase your WHOLESOME life in fulfilling your kingdom mandate (1Thess. 5:23, Heb.4:12-13, Lk. 2:52).

May the good Lord grant you abundance of grace in maximising every opportunity to build your precious Faith.

BE AMAZINGLY BLESSED!

Manifesting  An “Effectual FAITH Life” Diligently

Philemon 3-6 ‘’Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ; I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication (Sharing or Fellowship) of thy Faith may become EFFECTUAL by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus’’.

Luke 18: 1-8 ‘’ And he (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that Men ought always to Pray, and not to FAINT; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find FAITH on the earth? (See also 1Samuel 30)

Provebs. 22:29 ‘’Seest thou a Man DILIGENT in his business? He shall stand before Kings; he shall not STAND before MEAN men.

Hebrews 11:6 ‘’but without FAITH it is impossible to PLEASE him: for him that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek him

Here in Britain, our financial year begins this month of April. While to many it is April Fools, to the Diligent in life, it is April Wise. The wise in Christ must know that Anointing without money can become Annoyance, and in some cases a complete frustration in our Faith Lifestyle when facing the global financial famine and challenges of this generation.

A lot of diligent decisions which can make you have an Effectual Faith Lifestyle or a Fainting Lifestyle come by this Month of APRIL. That is the reason that our Lord Jesus in Luke 18: 1-8 was concerned about the faint–hearted believers. This is because He has paid the necessary price to enable our communication or fellowship of Faith lifestyle to be EFFECTUAL. To be Effectual means that our FAITH/FAITHFULNESS in Christ is producing, generating and achieving all our intended and desired results.

We are Born Again to reign in life for a CAUSE or PURPOSE, not to Faint nor Give up in our Faith lifestyle. Hence Philemon 6 reminds us that an Effectual lifestyle is the acknowledging of every good work which is in you in Christ Jesus. There is a good work wrought by the Lord in you. For we are God’s workmanship; Ephesians 2:10 ‘’For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

In the same manner, we are strongly counselled in Proverbs 3: 5-6 ‘’Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Not to lean on our own understanding but to acknowledge God in all our ways. It is very important for every believer intending to have a long lasting effectual Christian life that will do others good, to have this understanding that not having our intended desire come to pass may be due to not acknowledging that is of God and not of ourselves. This will stop selfishness and self-centeredness to the opportunity God has given us to bless or communicate or share or fellowship our FAITH with others EFFECTUALLY. For by flesh shall no man prevail or become Effectual in the kingdom faith lifestyle. 1Sam.2:9b ’’ . . . for by strength shall no man prevail’’; Zechariah 4:6b ‘’. . .  Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts. ).

Finally – an Effectual Faith Lifestyle is not about what you can do for God but about what you can allow God to do through you to the glory of our risen Lord and the blessing of mankind. It is not about how INTELLIGENT one is but about the Lord’s GRACE allowed to work in all of our life. BE WISE!

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 ‘’ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them’’.

Romans 9:16 ‘’ So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.

2Corinthians 3:5 ‘’Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God’’

I pray this month of APRIL that your FAITH/FAITHFULNESS will be EFFECTUAL in all you lay your hands to do. Be blessed as you DIGEST.
