Chukie MORSI<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Main Text: <\/strong>Mark 11:20-26<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Preamble: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\">First Sunday calls for three messages in one:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>About <\/strong>the Year 2011 theme<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>About<\/strong> the Month theme<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>About <\/strong>the Week &#8211; today\u2019s Prophetic Sunday Message.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"> The acts of prayers suggest some likely matters that can enhance prayers to be effective and effectual. For it\u2019s not just enough to pray or be praying but to see that your prayers are answered (<strong>Psalm 65:1-2)<\/strong>. It\u2019s on this basis that the month theme is all about, so that we can enjoy God\u2019s goodness on this side of heaven and with hope of eternal godly peace as we exercise the gracious acts of prayers \u2013 <strong>1Timothy 4:7b-8.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>The Basis of Understanding FORGIVENESS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"> <strong>Forgiveness:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I<\/strong>s the gateway to enjoying the goodness of God in our redemption; <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Is<\/strong> a landmark of our REDEMPTION acts and process \u2013 <strong>Colossians 1:13-14; Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 1:6-9. <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Is<\/strong> the basis of grace in our Lord\u2019s prayers \u2013 <strong>Matthew 6:9-15<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Is<\/strong> an act that enhances effective and effectual prayers \u2013<strong> James 5:16.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\">Cannot be compromise if we must enjoy the fullness of God, meaning it should be every believers lifestyle even as Christ was and is \u2013<strong> 1 Peter 2:21-24; Luke 23:33-34; 1 John 1:6-9; 4:17.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Definition: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Forgiveness or to forgive <\/strong>is translated \u2018Remission\u2019 in Greek as found in <strong>Acts 10:43\/Hebrews 9:22. It<\/strong> means to send off or away i.e. to separate sin from the sinner<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Three Phases of Forgiveness<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>We <\/strong>are forgiven,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>We <\/strong>are being Forgiven<strong> and<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>We <\/strong>shall be Forgiven<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>For this to be effective and effectual in our redemption, we must have this understanding basis:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Accept <\/strong>God\u2019s Forgiveness<strong> \u2013 Micah 7:18-19<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Forgive <\/strong>oneself <strong>\u2013 Philemon 6; <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Forgive <\/strong>others<strong> \u2013 Matthew 6:14-15; 5:21-26<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Understanding The Distinction in Forgiveness<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Human<\/strong> basis: Remission of a penalty deserved &#8211; <strong>Matthew 18:32-33; Ephesians 4:32.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Divine<\/strong> basis: The execution of the penalty<strong> \u2013 Leviticus 4:35; Matthew 26:28; Hebrews 9:22; 1 John 1:6-9; 2:2.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Human forgiveness rests upon and results from the divine forgiveness \u2013 <strong>Matthew 18:32-33; Ephesians 4:32<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Scriptural Truth About Forgiveness:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol> <\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>1. <\/strong><strong>Colossians 3:13; Ephesians 4:30-32 \u2013<\/strong> Forgive as Christ forgave:<strong> e.g. Luke 7:42-43 &#8211; <\/strong>Entreat to give same as being given and <strong>Matthew 18:23-35 \u2013 <\/strong>Entreat others as Christ has dealt with you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>2. <\/strong><strong>2 Corinthians 2:5-11 \u2013<\/strong> Forgiveness helps to limit Satan in taken advantage of us in his gimmicks and devices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>3.
