SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING – WARNING SIGNS ON LUSTING AND AFFECTION CRAVINGS OF THE FLESH!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God Loves And\nCares for your total well being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world\u2014the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one\u2019s resources or in the stability of earthly things]\u2014these do not come from the Father, but are from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever”<\/em> 1 John 2:15-17 (Amplified)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“1-2 Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You LUST for what you don\u2019t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn\u2019t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. 2-3 You wouldn\u2019t think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you\u2019d be asking for what you have no right to. You\u2019re spoiled children, each wanting your own way. 4-6 You\u2019re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn\u2019t CARE? The proverb has it that \u201che\u2019s a fiercely jealous LOVER.\u201d And what he gives in LOVE is far better than anything else you\u2019ll find. It\u2019s common knowledge that \u201cGod goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble\u201d<\/em> James 4:1-6 (The Message Bible).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Isn\u2019t it because there is a whole army of evil desires within you? 2 You want what you don\u2019t have, so you kill to get it. You long for what others have, and can\u2019t afford it, so you start a fight to take it away from them. And yet the reason you don\u2019t have what you want is that you don\u2019t ask God for it. 3 And even when you do ask you don\u2019t get it because your whole aim is wrong\u2014you want only what will give you pleasure. 4 You are like an unfaithful wife who loves her husband\u2019s enemies. Don\u2019t you realize that making friends with God\u2019s enemies\u2014the evil pleasures of this world\u2014makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy the evil pleasure of the unsaved world, you cannot also be a friend of God. 5 Or what do you think the Scripture means when it says that the Holy Spirit, whom God has placed within us, watches over us with tender jealousy? 6 But he gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, God gives strength to the humble but sets himself against the proud and haughty. 7 So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”<\/em> James 4:1-7 (The Living Bible).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“And they that are Christ\u2019s have crucified the flesh with the AFFECTIONS and LUSTS. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”<\/em> Galatians 5:24-25.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
