FATHERS’\u00a0DAY \u201907<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

A challenging call to be a<\/span><\/em> <\/span>\u2018\u2019FAITHFUL FATHER\u2019\u2019<\/strong><\/span>. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 20:5-6<\/span> <\/span><\/strong>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span>Counsel in the heart of man is<\/span> like<\/span> deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a FAITHFUL man (FATHER)<\/strong> who can find?<\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Any man can be a Dad, but it takes a special HEARTED spirit to be a FATHER. A Christian FATHER has three primary calls and roles in family life that can possibly affect the society and the world at large:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • A Priest<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • A Prophet and<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • A King<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    As a <\/span>Priest<\/span><\/strong>,<\/span> you are to offer Prayers, sacrifices of praises and appease God for your family. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Job 1:5<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span>And it was so, when the days of their<\/span> feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according<\/span> to the number of them all: <\/strong>for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually<\/strong><\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    As a <\/span>Prophet<\/span><\/strong>, you are to minister to the Lord and receive also godly inspiration, revelation and direction for your family. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Deuteronomy 11:18-25<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span> Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou SITTEST in thine house, and when thou WALKEST by the way, when thou LIEST down, and when thou RISESTt up. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

    And thou shalt WRITE them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves. Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. There shall no man be able to stand before you: for<\/span> the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you<\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Deuteronomy 29:29<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span>The secret things<\/span> belong<\/span> unto the LORD our God: but those things<\/span> which<\/span> are<\/span> revealed belong<\/span> unto us and to our children forever, that we<\/span> may do all the words of this law<\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Amos 3:7<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span> Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets<\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Hosea 12:13<\/span><\/strong> \u2018<\/em><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span>And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved<\/span><\/em>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    And as a <\/span>King<\/span><\/strong>,<\/span><\/strong> with a shepherd heart, not only to provide for your family, but to lay your life down, fight, protect, take a stand and exercise authority on behalf of your family over the enemy insurgence, influences, attacks and intentions both spiritually and otherwise in a challenging world.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>John 10:10-11<\/span><\/strong> \u2018\u2019<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span>The<\/span><\/em> thief<\/span> cometh<\/span> not,<\/span> but<\/span> for<\/span> to<\/span> steal,<\/span> and<\/span> to<\/span> kill,<\/span> and<\/span> to<\/span> destroy:<\/span> I<\/span> am<\/span> come<\/span> that<\/span> they<\/span> might<\/span> have<\/span> life,<\/span> and<\/span> that<\/span> they<\/span> might<\/span> have<\/span> it<\/span> more abundantly. I<\/span> am<\/span> the<\/span> good<\/span> shepherd:<\/span> the<\/span> good<\/span> shepherd<\/span> giveth<\/span> his<\/span> life<\/span> for<\/span> the<\/span> sheep<\/span><\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    1 Samuel 17:32-37<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2018\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span> And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art<\/span> but<\/span> a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

    And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it<\/span> out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him<\/span> by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.
