THE HEARING OF THE WORD: THE NEED TO BE QUICK TO HEAR AND SLOW TO SPEAK!<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Understand this, my beloved brothers and sisters. Let everyone be QUICK TO HEAR [be a careful, thoughtful listener], SLOW TO SPEAK [a speaker of carefully CHOSEN WORDS and], slow to anger [patient, reflective, forgiving]”<\/i>\u00a0James 1:19 [17-25] \/Amplified.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a world today experiencing unimaginable misinformation, adulteration, falsehoods,\u00a0and misdirection\u00a0from the truth,\u00a0it’s\u00a0a\u00a0wake-up call\u00a0to every gatekeeper of the truth,\u00a0to wake up with the truth than being a spectator with a nonchalant attitude until the depraved state becomes irreparable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Only by hearing and speaking forth the word of\u00a0truth can we fiercely confront and steadfastly resist\u00a0the menace and\u00a0garbage\u00a0around\u00a0us, before\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0called \u201calternative truth\u201d\u00a0– which is just\u00a0misinformation,\u00a0adulteration\u00a0and falsehoods\u00a0takes over.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0can’t\u00a0just be\u00a0observers while\u00a0disrupted minds affect and tear down the\u00a0foundation\u00a0of\u00a0our human values and dignity. We need to step up and safeguard the wellbeing of\u00a0individuals,\u00a0families,\u00a0communities,\u00a0societies\u00a0– everything.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a proximity near you, you see and observe the gradual decay in\u00a0some\u00a0leaders\u00a0and their\u00a0followers, in\u00a0Churches, governments, Communities, Businesses\u00a0\u2013 right in front of you.\u00a0You\u00a0don’t\u00a0need anyone to wake you\u00a0up; be\u00a0intentional and pragmatic\u00a0about it, or you will\u00a0become\u00a0a prey\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0consequences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And worse still, is the\u00a0temptation to play\u00a0it\u00a0safe\u00a0and not step up.\u00a0Instead, we should be\u00a0partakers,\u00a0channels,\u00a0carriers,\u00a0and\u00a0heralds of\u00a0the truth\u00a0–\u00a0stopping\u00a0the toxicity and toxic misinformation\u00a0spreading\u00a0like\u00a0cancer\u00a0in our\u00a0worlds.\u00a0Let\u2019s\u00a0live\u00a0godly in\u00a0the grace,\u00a0for the good of self and all.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0need to FLEE from every appearance of\u00a0misinformation,\u00a0adulteration and falsehoods fashioning\u00a0around\u00a0us.\u00a0Being RESOLVED to be\u00a0the change, the\u00a0default,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0what our messed-up world needs \u2013 away from the\u00a0evils and wickedness caused by\u00a0fashionable falsehoods, misinformation,\u00a0disinformation\u00a0and adulteration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“But TEST ALL THINGS carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. HOLD FIRMLY to that which is good. 22 ABSTAIN FROM EVERY FORM OF EVIL [withdraw and keep away from\u00a0it]”<\/i>\u00a01 Thessalonians 5:21-22\/Amplified.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Holy writ is giving you and I the charge in the Bible book of\u00a0James\u00a01: 19<\/b>\u00a0of the need to be QUICK TO HEAR, meaning to be a careful, thoughtful listener and to be SLOW TO SPEAK.\u00a0Meaning a speaker of carefully chosen words, otherwise you will become a part of those heralding the fashionable lies of today, that have created,\u00a0resulted\u00a0and generated evil and wickedness in our world today. Don’t you see\u00a0the fears,\u00a0deceptions\u00a0and mistrust around you?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking closely within your family,\u00a0community\u00a0and society\u00a0around\u00a0you, you will see the evils, wickedness and\u00a0destructions\u00a0that are emanating and resulting because of the falsehoods,\u00a0misinformation,\u00a0and adulteration\u00a0that’s\u00a0at a swift spread. And in many\u00a0cases,\u00a0it has wrecked families and communities, and has destroyed the fabric of trust, honesty,\u00a0decency\u00a0and truth that was the strength and anchor for\u00a0a very healthy\u00a0living environment we all hold dearly and healthily.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And with this age of social media and content creation for the purpose of getting views to\u00a0monetisation, you don’t need anyone to tell or inform you of the diversity, gravity and heaviness of the lies and perversion that have grown\u00a0around\u00a0us and our world; and these uncontrollable dissimilation of falsehoods and lies have filled the media space,\u00a0and the average Christian is being deceived,\u00a0leading to relationship breakdown, family\u00a0issues, business mistrust, Church distrust, unstable\u00a0governance\u00a0–\u00a0and\u00a0it becomes the order of the day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall DECEIVE many. 6 And ye shall HEAR OF WARS AND RUMOURS OF WARS: see\u00a0that ye be not troubled: for all these things must\u00a0come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7. For\u00a0NATION SHALL RISE AGAINST NATION, and KINGDOM AGAINST KINGDOM: and there shall be\u00a0FAMINES, and\u00a0PESTILENCES, and EARTHQUAKES, in\u00a0divers\u00a0places. 8 All these are the\u00a0beginning\u00a0of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be\u00a0afflicted, and\u00a0shall KILL you: and ye shall be HATED of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall\u00a0rise, and\u00a0shall deceive many. 12 And because INIQUITY SHALL ABOUND, THE LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD. 13 But he that shall endure unto the\u00a0end,\u00a0the same shall be saved. 14 And this GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be PREACHED in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come . . . 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT”<\/i>\u00a0Matthew 24:5-14, 24 KJV.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I just want you to know and understand that,\u00a0in the midst of\u00a0these deprave state of our worlds and society, God’s expectation for the\u00a0Believers\u00a0of God in Christ Jesus, is to be SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE. To herald the GOSPEL GOOD NEWS that transforms and not to be entangled with what you have no personal revelation of God about it that can lead you or your HEARERS to a place of godly transformation. Only the hearing from God of His word that brings about the information\u00a0that’s\u00a0transformative for the good and goodness of all. And this is only possible when you are resolved and determined, to ensure that your default in the grace is to be THE HEARING OF THE WORD,\u00a0in order to\u00a0fashion and define you in doing life and living godly in the grace. And this happens when you INTENTIONALLY RESOLVE to be “QUICK TO HEAR” AND “SLOW TO SPEAK FORTH”, knowing that words\u00a0matter,\u00a0and the effects\u00a0matter\u00a0and have consequences. For speaking\u00a0forth,\u00a0good\u00a0and goodness\u00a0come\u00a0by hearing healthily. IT’S TIME TO HERALD THE GOOD BY HEARING THE GOOD IN LOVE FOR YOU AND OTHERS BY THE WORD OF GOD.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“But, SPEAKING [HERALDING] THE TRUTH IN LOVE, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head\u2014Christ\u2014 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the EDIFYING of itself in love”\u00a0<\/i>Ephesians 4:15-16\/NKJV.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“My son, GIVE ATTENTION TO MY WORDS; INCLINE YOUR EAR TO MY SAYINGS. 21. Do\u00a0not let them\u00a0depart\u00a0from your eyes; Keep them\u00a0in the midst of\u00a0your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence,\u00a0for\u00a0out of it spring the issues of life”\u00a0<\/i>Proverbs 4:20-23\/NKJV.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s\u00a0time beloved of God in Christ Jesus to become a DOER OF THE WORD by HEARING THE WORD that can make a difference in you and through you to give hope to your world and our world of doing life and living godly in the grace. You must\u00a0resolve\u00a0to hear rightly and healthily for you to do life without compromise, sentiments,\u00a0prejudice,\u00a0and dissimulation.\u00a0That’s\u00a0how\u00a0to\u00a0keep at bay\u00a0evil,\u00a0wickedness\u00a0and deception from you and those\u00a0around\u00a0you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Therefore\u00a0LAY ASIDE ALL filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the IMPLANTED WORD, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be DOERS OF THE WORD, and NOT HEARERS ONLY, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man\u00a0observing\u00a0his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he\u00a0observes\u00a0himself, goes away, and\u00a0immediately\u00a0forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who\u00a0looks into\u00a0the perfect law of liberty and continues in\u00a0it, and\u00a0is not a forgetful hearer but a DOER of the work, this one will be BLESSED in what he does”<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>James 1:21-25\/NKJV.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, be resolved, be intentional and pragmatic to be SWIFT, that’s to be QUICK to hear, QUICK to perceive, QUICK to understand by being smart, clever, sensitive, alert, vigilant, alive, actively engaged\u00a0and engaging to decipher and filter lies, misinformation, adulteration and falsehoods in order to herald the truth that can set you and your audience free from the cancerous monsters that’s destroying our world with warmongers in our families, communities, societies and world’s today.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Resolve to HERALD what\u00a0builds\u00a0for the good of all and not what destroys others because of gains,\u00a0selfishness,\u00a0greed\u00a0and covetousness resulting\u00a0to\u00a0wickedness and evil\u00a0that\u00a0breakdown\u00a0families, communities,\u00a0societies\u00a0and the world\u00a0around\u00a0us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SELAH – PAUSE!\u00a0THINK!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“But the PATH OF THE JUST is\u00a0as\u00a0the SHINING LIGHT, that SHINETH MORE and MORE unto the PERFECT (DAWN) DAY. 19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. 20 My son, ATTEND to my words; INCLINE thine EAR unto my SAYINGS. 21.\u00a0Let\u00a0them not depart from thine eyes; keep them\u00a0in the MIDST of\u00a0thine HEART.\u00a022. For\u00a0they are LIFE unto those that find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh. 23. Keep\u00a0thy HEART with all DILIGENCE; for out of it are the ISSUES OF LIFE”<\/i>\u00a0Proverbs 4:18-23 (Emphasis Mine).<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“But as it is WRITTEN, EYE hath not SEEN, nor EAR HEARD, neither have ENTERED into the HEART of man, the things which God hath PREPARED for them that love him. 10 But God hath REVEALED them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit SEARCHETH all things,\u00a0yea, the deep things of God”<\/i>\u00a01 Corinthians 2:9-10.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“For THE WORD of God is QUICK, and POWERFUL, and SHARPER than any\u00a0twoedged\u00a0sword, piercing even to the DIVIDING asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we\u00a0have to\u00a0do”\u00a0<\/i>Hebrews 4:12-13.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“We\u00a0having\u00a0the SAME spirit of FAITH, according as it is WRITTEN, I BELIEVED, and therefore have I SPOKEN; we also\u00a0BELIEVE, and\u00a0therefore SPEAK”<\/i>\u00a02 Corinthians 4:13.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
