\"\"<\/a>Imagine that you\u2019re in a room where someone is talking but you cannot hear them because you <\/span>don\u2019t have your hearing aids in. You turn them on, tune them right and then you begin to hear.<\/span><\/p>\n

The thing is, they did not just begin to speak when you put the hearing aids on. They were <\/span>speaking before then \u2014you just couldn\u2019t hear it until you tuned in by turning your hearing on.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a Christian, God has been speaking the whole time, and He speaks through His Word, He <\/span>speaks through a small still voice when you pray and listen.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you open the Bible and begin to read, something you\u2019ve read many times before can <\/span>suddenly feel new and alive. It\u2019s not because the words changed, but because you\u2019re now able to <\/span>hear them. Sometimes because that\u2019s the message for that particular time, for that season.<\/span><\/p>\n

What you hear has purpose. Even if you don\u2019t understand why a particular verse stands out, <\/span>there is a reason it has been highlighted in your heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

Picking up the Bible to read, study, and meditate is like putting my hearing aids in and turning <\/span>them on.
And when I do, I often wonder why I waited so long. Hearing Him brings peace, clarity, <\/span>and awareness of His presence.<\/span><\/p>\n

When that peace comes\u2014the kind that surpasses understanding\u2014I know without doubt that God <\/span>has confirmed something within me. There\u2019s no formula or special method to it. It\u2019s not about <\/span>technique. It\u2019s about relationship. It\u2019s about intimacy.<\/span><\/p>\n
