\"\"<\/a>What this phrase seems to communicate is that works are what gets one to heaven. That whether I do or don\u2019t will determine whether I go or I won\u2019t go to heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our salvation is by grace through faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our obedience to His Word is through faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

We cannot redeem our flesh by our flesh. It\u2019s impossible. It is by grace through faith.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some may say this in jest but you\u2019re still communicating the kind of God that our Mighty Lord is.<\/span><\/p>\n

He does not have a clip board like a driving test examiner – that if you make this number of mistakes or wrong manoeuvres or turns – it\u2019s a fail.<\/span><\/p>\n

My salvation is not based on works, I\u2019m saved by grace alone through faith. I\u2019m still saved after I have sinned or failed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Victory over sin and sinless perfection are two different things.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:8-9<\/strong> . . . by grace you\u2019ve been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, it is only because of His grace that you have been saved. All you did was to put your faith in His willingness to be merciful and gracious towards you. So your salvation is not anything you could possibly have worked out for yourself; it is God\u2019s gift to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Does this mean that we can just go on living in sin? Of course not. That’s a topic for another day.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
