JESUS CHRIST – OUR EXEMPLARY: THE CLARITY OF PURPOSE LEVERAGE THE SPIRIT OF CONTENTMENT – TO BE ABASED AND TO ABOUND IN THE GRACE!\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As I write this epistle, I recall growing up in both my primary and secondary schools, and in attendance of the\u00a0pupil’s\u00a0assembly ground, and with the hymnal book, wherein we sing the song\u00a0that’s\u00a0mostly often forgotten today:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“He that’s down need fear no fall,<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He that’s low no pride,<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He\u00a0that’s\u00a0humble ever shall,<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Have God to be His guide.”<\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As I sing now and meditates over this song today, the concept and context of our beloved Saviour and Lord Jesus, in HUMILITY and OBEDIENCE to God’s purpose for Him, in God’s kingdom redemption services, came to lighten up and illuminated my innermost being of the path to exaltation and fulfilment, in the course and cause of advancing the kingdom of God and keeping the enemy and cohorts at bay.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For to be ABASED in scriptural context of\u00a0Philippians 4:11-13,<\/b>\u00a0is\u00a0to be humbled and not the\u00a0purported concepts\u00a0of degradations.\u00a0It’s\u00a0to be\u00a0lowly\u00a0and\u00a0not depravation to being stricken in poverty and such\u00a0like, as to be out of purpose for living\u00a0and\u00a0fulfilment. For in OBEDIENCE and HUMILITY to God’s purpose, our\u00a0Saviour\u00a0and Lord Jesus Christ\u00a0was\u00a0able to fulfil God’s intent and was then highly EXALTED by Father God above all. DO YOU WANT TO BE ABOVE ONLY? Then, have the\u00a0mind of Christ; put on the mind of Christ; and in redemption, you have the mind of Christ Jesus by the indwelling Holy Spirit of grace to make obedience and humility possible for your exaltation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“For\u00a0who\u00a0hath KNOWN THE MIND of the Lord, that he may instruct him? BUT WE HAVE THE MIND of Christ”<\/i>\u00a01 Corinthians 2:16.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“. . . [5] Let this MIND be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] who, BEING IN THE FORM OF God, thought it not ROBBERY to be EQUAL with God: [7] but MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became OBEDIENT unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly EXALTED him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] that at the NAME of Jesus every KNEE should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] and that every tongue should CONFESS that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”<\/i>\u00a0Philippians 2:1-11.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scripture thus says that our\u00a0Saviour\u00a0and Lord,\u00a0Jesus Christ, became\u00a0poor that we, who have come to embrace redemption rights and privileges might be enriched. Does it mean then that Jesus Christ was poverty stricken? Or stricken of any such likeness to limits God’s purpose through Him? Not at all. It only thus mean, that He HUMBLED Himself from the affluence of the heavens as being a part of the person of the trinity to become the\u00a0Saviour\u00a0of mankind in OBEDIENCE of being human; and by Him doing so, mankind [humanity], might be saved and redeemed back to the creator and Father God. He BECAME poor, thus\u00a0indicates, He LOWERED Himself, from divinity in all essence to be\u00a0God-man\u00a0in humanity, that He might win us to God by sharing in our humanity and dying to fulfill the cause for our total salvation.\u00a0That’s\u00a0the mark of being\u00a0of\u00a0His\u00a0nature as being meek and lowly in spirit as the scripture describes him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, THOUGH HE WAS RICH, YET FOR YOUR SAKES HE BECAME POOR, that ye through his poverty might be rich”<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>2 Corinthians 8:9.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Take my yoke upon\u00a0you, and\u00a0learn of me; for I am MEEK and LOWLY in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls”<\/i>\u00a0Matthew 11:29.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Who is\u00a0he that\u00a0overcometh\u00a0the world, but\u00a0he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God? [6] This is He that came by water and blood, even JESUS CHRIST; not by water only, but by water and blood.\u00a0And it\u00a0is the Spirit that\u00a0beareth\u00a0witness, because\u00a0the Spirit is truth. [7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, THE WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”\u00a0<\/i>1 John 5:5-7.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“And THE WORD was MADE FLESH [HUMAN, HUMANITY], and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and\u00a0truth”<\/i>\u00a0John 1:14\/Emphasis Mine.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Saviour\u00a0and\u00a0Lord Jesus Christ\u00a0knows\u00a0the essence to be ABASED\u00a0as\u00a0He knows also to ABOUND. So, concerning Jesus, we know by the scriptures, that though He was God, He humbled Himself, meaning, He\u00a0submitted\u00a0and subjected Himself through obedience to God’s cause for redemption, that He might fulfill purpose. Can you ever imagine that\u00a0in this generation\u00a0that’s\u00a0consummated more of ONLY prosperity message without cause [purpose]\u00a0in heart and thoughts? For though He’s God’s Son, He\u00a0didn’t\u00a0allow that to overrun and overtake the cause and purpose of God for human redemption. Humility and obedience to the cause, for our example in\u00a0the grace. For to be ABASED\u00a0is\u00a0\u00a0been\u00a0humble\u00a0to God’s Kingdom assignments and not a degradation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil\u00a0sinneth\u00a0from the beginning. For this\u00a0PURPOSE\u00a0the Son of God was MANIFESTED, that he might DESTROY the\u00a0WORKS of the devil”<\/i>\u00a01 John 3:8.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,\u00a0Thou\u00a0sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this CAUSE came I into the world, that I should BEAR WITNESS unto the truth.\u00a0Everyone\u00a0that is of the truth heareth my voice”<\/i>\u00a0John 18.37.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“. . . [4] And NO MAN TAKETH THIS HONOUR UNTO HIMSELF, but he that is CALLED of God, as was Aaron. [5] So also Christ GLORIFIED NOT HIMSELF to be made\u00a0an\u00a0high priest; but He that said unto him,\u00a0Thou\u00a0art my Son,\u00a0Today\u00a0have I begotten thee. [6] As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec. [7] Who in the DAYS OF HIS FLESH, when he had offered up PRAYERS\u00a0and SUPPLICATIONS with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; [8] though he were a Son, yet LEARNED He OBEDIENCE by the things which He SUFFERED; [10] called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec”<\/i>\u00a0Hebrews 5:1-10.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0have\u00a0to\u00a0come to the adherence in obeying the instructions of the scriptures\u00a0in order to\u00a0be like Jesus, in fulfilling purpose in all situations, in time to be ABASED and in time to ABOUND in the grace. For while you walk in God’s cause for your life, to be ABASED and to ABOUND, makes no difference to your living in the grace;\u00a0but when you lack the clarity\u00a0[clear cut] purpose of God for\u00a0your\u00a0life, to be ABASED becomes ludicrous, and the mindset to ABOUND will be the only focus.\u00a0Such act will rob any kingdom Believer of God in Christ Jesus, the spirit of CONTENTMENT in the grace. For the spirit of CONTENTMENT\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0mean STAGNANCY, but the ability and capacity to be malleable to any shape still unchanged, without cracking or breaking and fulfilling mission and assignments in the grace. That was the capacity Apostle Paul was ensuring and assuring in Philippians\u00a04: 10-13, 19;<\/b>\u00a0the capacity to know that the God of all sufficiency is there at any phase to supply and meet all needs in Christ Jesus, no matter what’s betides us in fulfilling God’s purpose for our living.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT, and the SIN WHICH DOTH SO EASILY BESET US, and let us RUN WITH PATIENCE the RACE [PURPOSE, CAUSE] that is SET before us, [2] LOOKING unto Jesus the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him ENDURED the cross, DESPISING THE SHAME, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God”<\/i>\u00a0Hebrews 12:1-2.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners\u00a0spake\u00a0in\u00a0time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [2] hath in these last days SPOKEN unto us by his Son, whom he hath APPOINTED heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; [4] being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance OBTAINED a more excellent name than they. [5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time,\u00a0Thou\u00a0art my\u00a0Son,\u00a0This\u00a0day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a\u00a0Father,\u00a0And\u00a0he shall be to me a\u00a0Son?”<\/i>\u00a0Hebrews 1:1-5.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u00a0have to\u00a0come to this conclusion in knowledge and understanding in the grace, that without Jesus, there was nothing ever made or created that was made and created; and yet, He ABASED [HUMBLED] Himself and\u00a0submitted\u00a0unto God in humility. How humble enough are you ready to stoop down [means to condescend, lower oneself, be lowly], that others might rise and find their voice and place in life?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beloved reader,\u00a0there’s\u00a0more to\u00a0the cause of God, and it comes through obedience to the\u00a0faith wherein God has enabled you to be a part of His work on earth. Jesus was humble and\u00a0obedient, and such spirit of CONTENTMENT makes it easier to be ABASED and to ABOUND, thereby\u00a0accomplishing\u00a0the reason for human redemption.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WILL YOU MAKE A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TODAY TO FOLLOW JESUS EXEMPLARY FOR US?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Be BLESSED in God’s BLESSEDNESS in Christ Jesus, in the spirit of CONTENTMENT, to be ABASED and to ABOUND in the grace.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SCRIPTURAL THOUGHTS WORTH PONDERING IN CONTEXT:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“. . .
