WP_20140328_21_17_13_Pro-815x1024Who is a successful and fulfilled Gospel Minister? He is a minister marked by faithfulness and fruitfulness; not necessarily by money, flashy cars, a big congregation or magnificent Cathedral; which unfortunately some may attribute.

AFD NOVEMBER 2013 THEME

November 4, 2013 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

AFD_NOVEMBER_2013_-_2John 15:12-14 “ This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”

1 John 4:4, 17 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world . . . Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.“

1 John 5:3-5 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?“

Colossians 4:17 “And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.“

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. “

Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.“

Romans 8:9-16 “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God“

James 3:15-18 “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.“

Romans 5:17, 21 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) . . . that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.“

Psalms 82:6 “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.“

John 10:34-35 “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken“

John 14:14-16 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 5 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever“

Galatians 5:22-25 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.“

How To Maintain Success

John 6:39 “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day”

  • If you don’t action your unction you will auction it with time.
  • Don’t tribalise the gospel, instead centralise.
  • Don’t get used to the usual, less you will lose grip with the Holy Spirit.
  • Don’t only succeed, also don’t let the devil have a part in it to glory. Such that you can say, the prince of this world comes, but have nothing to glory in me.
  • Always have it in mind that when the devil produce his plan, God will always have an answer.
  • As a Minister, your knowledge should exceed the pulpit to enhance your today and tomorrow.
  • Know that for everything you by God initiate, God will also give you grace to inaugurate.
  • What we are given power to subdue cannot relegate us except we allow.
  • What God have esteemed who can disdain or demean it.

SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY – It’s A Diligent Lifestyle!

March 1, 2012 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

WP_20140328_21_22_28_ProProverbs 22:29”Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”

Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Colourful living is not for the slothful or sluggard; be it known that good success and prosperous Ministry is not for the lazy, idle-minded, lazy people and wishful thinkers but for the diligent.

Diligence is a consistent steady and smart effort, focus to achieve or attain a given task or life goals and pursuit.  And it’s for those who are passionate and want to reign in their desired field of call in life and ministry as nobles – (kings and king-makers) and not as obscure. Meaning it’s not for the lazy and lay-about gangsters.

Progress in life calls for the pressing, hence great foundation and established good success is recorded on diligent plans, purpose and pursuit. Diligence involves investing your abilities, strengths and all about you into the pursuit of your called mission. God will only prosper the works of your hand, not your calling. He only prospers your calling through prospering your diligent efforts.

Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

IDLENESS is a career for some and carrier of POVERTY and it can only be remedy through diligence. Therefore invest in labour and reap the great harvest of God in your calling. Yours is the task of planting and watering, God’s task is to bring the increase and overflow.

I Corinthians 3:6-7 “I (Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”

Every Blessing!

Marital Affairs Food For Thought

October 21, 2011 By Pastor Chukie Leave a Comment

Success in Marriage is more than finding the right person, its being the right person. Success in marriage is a determination to be married for the good and the best. Success in marriage involves falling in love many times and always with the same person.

Achieving Life Successes through Faithfulness

Luke 18:1-8 “. . . And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

Luke 16:1-13 “. . . He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”.

As we turn into the eighth month of the year, I call to remembrance that God made all things in six days – on the seventh – He rested and on the eighth day, the empowered man with dominion mandate began to function in achieving the reason for His creation.

Today we live in an age where faithfulness to ourselves and to others is in great demand for creating an atmosphere that we can enjoy. Unfortunately we are so eager to demand faithfulness from others while we may not be faithful ourselves even in the least of things.

Hence I am grateful to the Holy Spirit that this month He has constrained me to challenge us on the need of achieving life goals through faithfulness. Hence the reason to set tasks and targets for oneself in making it be.

We need to know that our God is a faithful God. This is just one basic nature of God – FAITHFULNESS. We being His children cannot afford to live in any other way and expect to achieve greatness in life.

The Results of Being Faithful

Great admirable marriages, homes & businesses are not achieved merely from structural design but from faithful human hearts. The results of being faithful are the prosperity and good success that we all desire. When we make faithfulness an avenue of achieving life’s goals, we promote honesty, decency and healthy lifestyles.

In the scripture quoted at the beginning, Luke 18:7-8, Jesus asked a question about faithfulness. The word FAITH is translated ‘pistil’ in Greek, which denotes faithfulness in English. Jesus wondered how many would be faithful – to trust God and wait upon His Word – without seeking alternative solutions to life’s challenges. The 2nd main text, Luke 16:1-13, shows the reason that many of us cannot achieve our goals. It is because we are not faithful in matters entrusted into our hands by others.

God’s Faithful Nature

In achieving life’s goals, it would be great for you to look at the nature of God regarding faithfulness.

  1. God is faithful to Himself. 2Tim 2:13
  2. God is faithful to His Word and promises. Heb 10:23
  3. God is faithful to His relationship. 1 Corinth 1:9
  4. God is faithful to forgive. 1 John 1:9
  5. God is faithful in agreement. Deut 7:9
  6. God is faithful to establish and deliver. 1 Cor 10:13, 2 Thess 3:3
  7. God is faithful to accomplish His part in the assignment that he gives to us. 1 Thess 5:24
  8. God is a faithful creator. 1 Peter 4 4:19 . . . and many more of our God.

Know full well that we are the offspring of God, the sheep of His pasture. Acts 17:28-29, Psalms 100:3. It then means that we can live a faithful life and achieve good successes. The other reason that we can achieve success is because we are the seed of Abraham – who was faithful and prospered. The same grace is available to us today in spite of our challenges to be faithful and to prosper. Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14, 26-29. (See Genesis 13:2, 24:1)

Faithfulness Applied

  1. A faithful employee – Whatever position you hold, God requires you to be faithful. Matt 24:45-51, Ephesians 6:5-8, 1 Peter 2;18-20, Col 3:22-25
  2. A faithful employer – look after your staff well whatever the business. Ephesians 6:6-9, Col 4:1, Prov 11:24-26, Deut 10:17-18, Acts 10:34-35, Romans 2:11
  3. Faithful in your relationships. This is a vital ingredient in enhancing a healthy society.
  • Faithfulness in the kingdom business. As a minister, pastor, ministry worker etc, you cannot afford to attend to ministry work in the way that pleases you and at the same time want God’s backing. No adulterations of any sort will make God be a part of it. Faithfulness to God’s Word and commands is a prerequisite to achieving desired goals. 1 Cor 4:2, 2 Tim 2:1-2, Prov 27:23, John 21:15-17 (Numbers 12:7, Heb 3:2,5.)
  • In marriage one cannot afford to be unfaithful and achieve with God. (1 Tim 3:11, Prov 31:10, Prov 20:6, Eph 5:21-33, 1 Peter 3:1-12).
  • Faithfulness is also vital in a parent – child relationship. Eph 6:1-4, Col 3:20-21, Prov 22:6
  • Faithfulness in friendships. Prov 27:6,10, Prov 17:17, Prov 18:24

Faithfulness Rewards

  1. Abound with blessings. Prov 28:20
  2. Abound with health. Prov 13:17, 2 Cor 5:20
  3. A refresher for others. Prov 25:13
  4. There will be increase and promotion. Matt 25:21,23
  5. There will be eternal reward. Matt 25:21b, 23b

Finally, as one with an achievers’ mandate, I beckon on you to set task and target this month on how to walk in faithfulness if you want to partner with God. I pray you be found faithful in every area of your life through this month and thereafter.

COVENANT ACTS OF REDEMPTION

A commemoration Month of celebrating our REDEMPTION from sin:

“Sickness, Poverty and Spiritual Death”

Rev. 5: 9 – 12 ‘’And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to RECEIVE power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing’’.

No matter our circumstances today, the fact and the truth remains that Jesus had paid for our SIN and liberated us from SIN and its Effect – Sickness, Poverty and Spiritual death. You can walk with your head up, for you are no longer a captive but a victor, not a failure but a success, not a loser but a winner, not a mistake of mistaken Identity or a coincidence but the fearfully, wonderfully custom design in the very image of your maker- The almighty God.

Ephesians 1:3, 7 ‘’Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ . . . In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace’’.

Ephesians 2:4-7 ‘’But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus’’

In Revelation 5:9-11, we can conclude that Jesus did not only die for us but received on our behalf the seven (7) mentioned life issues indicated this book of Revelation. Also, God has given you Beauty for Ashes, Oil of joy for Mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). You are what you are because of what you believe of God and of yourself in Him and in all that Christ has done.

I strongly challenge you today to set your belief in focus, for that will affect how you commemorate and celebrate your “faith” in your Redemption in Christ as shown below:

  • Jesus has been made unto us REDEMPTION, RIGHTEOUSNESS, SANCTIFICATION and WISDOM (1 Corinthians 1:30)
  • He became our SIN that we can be God’s righteousness in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21)
  • He became poor that we might be Rich in Him (2 Corinthians 8:9)
  • He was condemned that we might be justified (Romans 5: 1-21)
  • He bore our sickness and diseases that we might enjoy health (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:45)
  • We’ve been forgiven and translated from the power of death into the power of life and peace (Colossians 1: 13-14, Ephesians 1:7, 2:1-22 and Hebrew 2: 14-15)
  • For you are more than conquerors. This is true anytime, any day, anywhere and in any circumstances (Romans 8: 37, 2 Corinthians 2: 14-16).
  • Jesus received and restored on our behalf: Power for our fear, Riches for our Poverty, Wisdom for our ignorance and foolishness, Strength for our weakness and limitations, Honour for our reproach, Glory for our Shame and Blessings for all our curses.(Revelation 5:12)

You can make these above mentioned acts of redemption become yours as you pray them into your life until they become seated in your spirit and a lifestyle of daily faith confession and consciousness. Therefore, ARISE! Let’s Commemorate, Celebrate Our Redemption and live FREE for this cause we are saved.
